They cannot stop the supporters verbally protesting, wearing supporting clothing etc.

They are on the ropes and this is totally pathetic.

This is about to backfire on them in spectacular fashion!!!!!

I get the impression that Glen and co were unaware the protest was cancelled! so much for the meeting last night.

I said earlier that the best thing the organisers can do is issue a statement along the lines of "Due to the ridiculous restrictions being imposed on BRFC fans wishing to protest on Saturday, we have decided to cancel the pre patch sit in."

Throws the media spotlight back on the club and will highlight the other ideas even more.

Don't know what the banner says but it would be great if it was along the lines of

Kean out: Venkys- The majority WILL be heard

Fly past near the end of the game, as there's more chance of everyone kicking off if we're losing.

So has anyone seen this counter protest mentioned anywhere? You know the thing stopping the use of banners and now has stopped the pre-match protest? If the Police have found it searching various social media sites then surely someone on these boards will have seen it?

And now talk about stopping any form of protest once for all in the near future? Does Bashar al-Assad run Rovers?

Sounds like another own goal by Rovers "Media Man" Paul Agnew......the banning of anti- Venkys and Kean activity will make yet another media story and will move protests into uncontrolled mayhem if they are banned and we have no protest organisers to be called to account.

I suggest that Glen and Simon call off the protest and leave it to anarchy!

Also please remember to be on your best behaviour during the match and remember it is considered rude and bad manners to point with your finger in Indian culture , so pointing whilst chanting at anybody in the "royal box" is naughty and headmaster Kean will smack your bottom

IMO, you simply can't trust these, IMO, b@st@rds !!!

Glen & Co have done everything by the book.

Venky's & Kean have now openly invited the wrath of the many who will see through this, IMV, dictatorial crap which is an insult to all Rovers' fans.

I'm sure the Pune 9 will feel disgusted with this and even Roversmum must now be having doubts !!!

Think Glen might be a tad busy at the mo so here is something he posted 4 minutes ago on facebook.

Everyone please calm down, the club was supposed to issue a statement today regarding a gesture which was pledged at last nights meeting, The agreement we had in place was the following....

1,After last nights meeting the representives from Blackburn Rovers felt that meetings needed to go up a level so we could speak with the board of directors. The pre match protest was discussed in front of all 8 who attended supporter wise and in front of the police.

2.We said that we would defer the pre match protest providing the club issued a statement that it was gesture of good will from the protest group and that they had promised further communication with the board.

3. The statement they have issued is not satisfactory and until we are happy all protest before and after the game will continue,

We did not make you guys aware of this agreement as it was agreed we would remain silent to allow the club to issue a joint statement.

I have contacted the police and simon is trying to get hold of the club, we are all extremely angry by this turn of events and have asked the Police to find out what is going on, as we look to crank up the protests,

People are still going to want to voice their opinions pre-match. I suspect smaller pockets of fans will group together and do their own thing, much harder for them to police and keep an eye on everyone. Idiotic move.

The Pune 9 all have their own thoughts so I don't speak for anyone but I for one am, agree with the protests or not surely everyone has a right to say what they think?

Poor poor form by the club going back on what was agreed (according to Glen and Simon)

Glen - that wouldn't surprise me one bit, the banning of banners had his stamp all over it

As Perth has already posted, we are investigating what the club has done here, and this smells like the work of Paul Agnew. Simon is currently trying to get hold of John Newsham to make things perfectly clear what course of action we will take should we need to

Would be a great move on your part if you agree to postpone the pre match protest. If you can't get the club to change the statement, release your own to the media.

A late change of tactics may be needed here. Call their bluff, call it off and ask each and every supporter to express their anti Venkys and Kean views during the match (it will happen) and "adjacent to Jack's statue" after the game.

Its probably time to go from 'Organised protest' to 'Unorganised protest' like others have said, what are they going to do if people get together before the game in one location and make noise?

YES, this is the right tactic.

Guys right I need you all to calm down. I have just come off the phone with the club. The statement that has been issued has been very badly worded. The statement issued in solely in relation to banners for the pre match protest.

Yes in Glens ealrier post there is a reference to deffering the pre match protest in exchange to the club agreeing in the press to a meeting with fans. However as part of the discussions we made several counter offers one of which are already aware in realtion the Human Banner idea. The second is the balloon idea which has been well recieved. In addition there is the fly over by the plane. This has never been discussed with the club. and until we relaesed on here they had no idea. But the cats we reaised the money inside three hours is unbelievable.

What has been very apparent is that when obstacles are put in our way we become more creative and get round them. This is a credit to everyone involved in the revololution.

I will say that the club will be issuing two more statement in the press tomorrow which will support what we have said tonight. Yes I have been very quiet until now but thats because I have been on the phone with numerous people at the club to resolve this.

Keep the faith people they are trying to divide and conquer. We must continue in the manner we have done previously lets not rise or divide. Becasue we are winning this war.

RTID !!!!!!!!
