Saw a couple of instances of people nearly coming to blows today and a fair bit of discontent about the plane mixed in with the cheers, it seemed pretty split around me.

Seems like only a few Rovers fans care.

Our apathy means we probably deserve to go down. Most just aren't that bothered it seems. :(

There's a bloke how sits near me, he's in his 50s, used to say "Blackburn don't deserve a Premier League football team".

I used to think he was just sounding off but I'm starting to see where he is coming from.

I just hope that when (not if) we are relegated, that we still have a club to support.

Just got back - only saw about 10 balloons, and there were far less protestors than the Spurs game - 400 at best at 5.10 when I left.

Think we've got to accept that the majority of Rovers fans are apathetic and would rather wait for something to happen than try and force the issue. They either blindly support Kean or just don't care enough.

Personally I'm resigned to Kean staying and taking us down.

Bang on Mark. So very sad to witness that.

Would a majority fans want a new manager? Probably.

Are they bothered if nothing happens? Not particulary.

If anything Kean seems to be getting more popular. 'we are playing well, things will change'. Staggering.

Lets be honest about much of our support, they arent the protesting, make a fuss type. If Ince had limped on and on I can imagine the same reaction by many in Ewood.

In an ideal world all those with their heads in the sand would have the decision made for them by the powers that be, alas Kean is bulletproof because we have owners with no idea and fans with no backbone.

Good effort by the team, the plane got some applause around me and a lot of adverse comments. Apathetic if you don't protest? Maybe its because some fans don't agree with the protests and believe that there is something positive in the way the team are playing and trying for the manager.

As for the comments from abroad about the numbers staying behind - sorry guys the great proportion left the ground and all the comments I heard were positive if frustrated.

Respect to Glenn and Simon and those who feel that they are right to pursue the dismissal of Kean. However calling anyone who disagrees with that apathetic (or worse) is not going to convert them to become protestors. In fact it may be turning them towards Kean.

i think if it was aimed more towards venkys they would get more support. i may be wrong but venkys need to answer a lot more than kean does imo. everything they have done since taking over has been a farce

I have never met you roversider but I can only imagine you are a few pennies short of a being a pound. I have never known a worse case of blind loyalty. Those with this ridiculous way of thinking are as culpable as kean himself. And yes I respect your right to an opinion blah de blah de blah I just vehemently disagree with it.

Think the problem the protestors have is two fold:

1 - the protests are happening too often hence losing impact

2 - performances have improved significantly and we were desperately unlucky v Norwich and help our own / competed against spurs and chelsea... People by their nature are v momentary and it will take a man c type performance v a lesser team to really rile the fans

His comment is nearly spot on though, he isn't critical of the protests but it seems some people on both sides view is if you aren't doing what I am then you are wrong and it's my duty to insult you for it

Think you have a point there, when it flew over I had person after person say it should be aimed at Venky's.

Just check the table.

Wolves win tomorrow and we are more than a win away from getting out of the bottom 3. You become that far adrift and it's a nightmare getting out.

We need to forget "playing well" and start to become hard to beat. Problem is we don't really have the players for that.

I remember when Parkes took over in 97, he had a midfield 3 of Sherwood, MacKinlay and someone else, I can't remember. But the point is we stopped the other team playing and scoring by closing them down. We are conceding every week, as long as we keep doing that we have absolutely no bloody chance.

A pound to a pinch, we'll let 2 or more in at Wigan.

The situation's absolutely intolerable.

Oh dear, sorry to have touched a nerve. Can't say I am too upset though, loyalty yes, blind loyalty no. However just bear in mind that the fan base is becoming polarised by the protests whether it is intended or not and that means Kean may actually have more support than when the protests started. At previous games I didn't hear too many people commenting that Kean isn't being given a fair break, that was definitely different today.

If people like it or not, that is certianly true.

Strange, you commented before that the protests, if not effective when peaceful, should be notched up a level. On that basis I would have thought the prospect of scraps would have cheered you up.

None of this makes me happy.

I honestly think the protests need to stop for a while now. It was clear today that the balloon and t shirt idea failed badly, the after match protest had small numbers and the plane caused a few chants but that was it.

As stated above, I think having so many protests has now diluted the effect, and when the plane came it seemed to kill the crowd majorly.

This is from someone who has attended every protest previously

A sad, sad day for Rovers and their supporters.

We are going down and apart from two or three hundred at the end, the rest can't be @rsed.

Hats off to Glen & Simon for all their efforts.

I genuine rhink that, on the whole, Rovers' supporters do not deserve a PL team. Really devoid of passion as they allow our club to be, IMO, destroyed by Venky's & Kean.

We are going down with barely a whimper. BRFC RIP.

I appreciate your logic Roversider, but are you saying we should leave things as they are?

My view remains the same, the next half dozen matches and then decide. My opinion only based on a view that we have performed well against some very good teams lately without getting the results. Norwich was a freak end to the game but we have some very winnable games coming up. I really don't think changing the management team at this point will help, I know that it upsets a few people that I think that way but don't read into that that I am a blind Kean supporter. But very pragmatic and hopeful.

I read a post saying 'Leeds fans wouldn't stand for it'.

Well, I know a Leeds fan and he says the anti Bates protest has got smaller and smaller. In fact, when they were getting spanked by Blackpool t'other night those chanting 'BATES OUT' got a much larger repsonse of 'Support your team or f*** off home'.

Just shows that a majority of fans at ALL football club just don't like the aggro.
