[Archived] 5th Nov Blackburn V Chelsea Preview

Recommended Posts

Chelsea roll in to town on the back of a defeat to Arsenal and I am sure Chelsea fans were left wondering what on earth happened. Just as I am sure Arsenal fans will have left Ewood thinking how on earth did they loose to Blackburn in what was a crazy game, with no team interested in defending. That Arsenal game is the only game that Rovers have won this season which as a Rovers fan makes me very uneasy going in to this Chelsea game.

Chelsea Away are Ranked 7th picking up 7 points from 5 games away from Stamford Bridge

Blackburn Home are Ranked 19th picking up 3 points from 5 games at Ewood Park

Chelsea Danger Men

Juan Manuel Mata García (Juan Mata) a new signing for Chelsea in the summer has played 8 games, scoring 2 goals and creating 4 assists. How the Rovers full backs deal with him will be instrumental on the outcome of this game. Juan is superb talent, can cross the ball at speed and with deadly accuracy. He also likes to switch wings if he gets no luck against one full back. I think Givet and Olson are really going to have to work as a team on Mata to stop his supply.

Frank Lampard A player that opposing fans love to target with their boos and chants. Fat Frank etc but you only have to look at his record to see what quality he is, 9 games this season 5 goals and 4 assists. Not bad for a midfield player but Frank can also read the game very very well and can break up play just as well as creating the chances and goals. The center of Rovers midfield are really going to have work amazingly hard to close down Frank for the whole game.

Ferando Torres So you can buy one player for around the same price as the whole Blackburn Rovers. Now people have been on Torres back since left Liverpool to join Chelsea but Liverpool are not close to winning a Trophy this season and possible not for a few more due to how poor the overall squad. So 50 million was spent on Torres and the pressure was lumped on him to win the league last season and he only managed 1 goal and 2 assists in his 14 games for Chelsea. But the Torres of old is back now he looked excellent in the Asian Trophy. This season he has scored 2 goals in 7 games and will be looking for more on Saturday

Blackburn Rovers Danger-Men

Jason Roberts From one striker to another Jason Roberts has played 6 games this season and scored 0 goals of course Jason played 25 games last season and managed 5 goals and 2 assists. So answers on a postcard Rovers fans on to what Roberts did on the football pitch to warrant a new contract??

David Goodwillie Rovers fans were amazed to see in the newspapers that Rovers had signed the new Wayne Rooney. So no Rovers fans are surprised by the amazing 0 goals in 8 games for Rovers.

Myles Anderson This signing of the New Chris Smalling really got Rovers fans excited and its no surprise that the Myles Anderson shirt is a big seller in the Rovers Store. Myles has yet to play a competitive game. Meanwhile the REAL Chris Smalling has played 7 games for Man U and scored a goal.

As Rovers Fans we know how good/bad Rovers and their players are, we also have another protest planned in what will be tense atmosphere at Ewood. The Fans are not happy they are fighting verbal with each other. Protesters are told they should behind the team and the clap happy fans have been told up wake and see that with Kean in charge Rovers are going down. So far the protesters have done well, they have protested before and after games and at the same time backing the team when they have been on the pitch.

Prediction

Blackburn 0 Chelsea 3

Will appear here soon.

5th of November!

Blackburn Rovers birthday and quite possibly our worse defeat in 136 years of history, if cocco is still in charge,

there you don't need to wait for the preview

I appreciate the sentiment. We are more likely to lose with Cocco [sic] in charge but we were much more likely to take a big hammering under previous incumbents

Not at home games IMO

5-0 defeat but we were doing ok, we managed to keep them out for 12 minutes. so there are positives.

So 5-0 on 5th November...

To Mr. Kean:

Remember remember the fifth of November

Gunpowder, treason and plot.

I see no reason why gunpowder, treason

Should ever be forgot...

Bonfire anyone..any suggestions for who the Guy can be ...

IMO we will score 1 or 2 ourselves but Chelsea will get more. Same old same old.

I think you have a very good point about the 5th Nov, rebellion day, come on all Rovers supporters

Being a bit of a cynical one I would say this is already in Chelsea's W column. Surely the powers that be won't want Chelsea losing three in a row will they. I look for yet more mystifying decisions with us losing a close game. Again.

Difficult to see anything other than a Chelsea win.

After having lost two on the trot, they will be triply determined to win - if they don't, they may well be out of the title race this season.

If Hoilett is fit, can see us getting one or two goals but the problem is that I can't see us conceding less than three !

We really do need a hammering if there is any hope of Venky's finally seeing some sense and sacking the clown.

Just saying, everyone thought Manchester City was going to pound Wolverhampton, the outcome was never really in doubt but the Wolves gave a good accounting of themselves. Maybe that is the kind of scoreline we'd see, 3-1, sounds like what Lawro's prediction would be.

I'm gonna be positive as I was heartened by a much better display on the pitch on Saturday, 2-2, as long as he plays the same team that played on Saturday. We may as well play attacking as we couldn't play a defensive game given our record to date. Chelsea appear to be in a mini crisis (according to their fans). There's talk of the supporters wanting AVB out. Terry sidetracked by racial slur allegations. Looked very weak at back against Arsenal, including the normally dependable Cech. :o

Comprehensive DEFEAT and a shipping of a good few goals because Chelsea will not be losing 3 games on the bounce and even if they lose in Europe midweek we are not going to be competing on the pitch with them.

I would like to think this game, when lost, will see the end of Kean's managerial role at Rovers.
