Andy Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 It is a good squad, absolutely, which makes it even harder to accept that this no-mark is unable to guide us to any results. Just think what a Hughes or an Allardyce could do with this squad.

joey_big_nose Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Played well again, lost again. Actually have quite a lot of sympathy for Kean - his bad luck is getting ridiculous. However the record is appalling and we need someone with quality to come in.
ada2020 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 would gaurdiola have got us a better result today? Would he only have won 3 from the last 25?
philipl Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Hatrix, your argument is trashed by: 16 Everton 10 -4 10 17 Wolves 10 -8 8 18 ROVERS 11 -11 6 19 Bolton 10 -14 6 20 Wigan 10 -11 5
HATRIX Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Obviously the drop In attendances agree with your view point, enough said really. [/quo Isn't the drop in attendances due to the fact of having an incompetent manager rather than the football the lads are playing on the pitch?
Amo Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Mark Lawrenson speaking on 5 live, on the handball that wasn't at Old Trafford: "The decision in the first place was completely wrong. At least the referee overturned his assistant's decision." And on events at Ewood Park: "Why are all those numpties chanting 'Kean Out'? Today their team played quite well. The chanting just strikes you as extremely pre-meditated. Blackburn could have got something from the game." Shows what he knows. Do people not look at the league table anymore? From 4th down it must all be a blur.
sambo Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Isn't the drop in attendances due to the fact of having an incompetent manager rather than the football the lads are playing on the pitch? It's due to Kean being useless, leading us to rubbish results and probably relegation. Fans are voting with their feet. The attendance drop from Sam to Kean shows fans crave RESULTS.
HATRIX Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Would he only have won 3 from the last 25? [/quote I dont want kean in charge. The point i was making is that a club like ours nine times out of ten will get beat by a top european side ,no matter who's in charge.
Lurid Coat Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 A message for the pundits/posters who go on about Rovers being unlucky, that we deserved more against Everton, Norwich and Chelsea, etc: Yes, we could and should have won against Everton and Norwich and at least drawn against Chelsea. FACT IS, WE DIDN'T. WE HAVE ONE WIN IN 11 MATCHES. THAT is what matters.
Backroom Tom Posted November 5, 2011 Backroom Posted November 5, 2011 To be honest the snarky comments are a bit unneeded, I've long said Kean has to go but today we played great, he still has to go but its pointless moaning about the manager today IMO. He made an error in bringing off Rochina for me but otherwise hard to complain. My main feeling tonight is just one of impending doom, even when the manager gets it right things just aren't going for us. A few notes on players: +Givet was fantastic, real warrior +Pedersen really good again, shirked one tackle but otherwise solid with good set pieces +Rochina looked lively +Nzonzi again played well - Hoilett looked uninterested and even lazy at times Saw a few people kicking off and a lot of people were moaning around me about the plane. Oh and for my weekly referee moan, he did well for the most part but missed a blatant second booking for Merelies late on Kean still has to go I have no doubt of that but today has done nothing to strengthen that notion.
Ricky Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Sorry but why are people arguing with the comments about it being Pre meditated?? Surely the protests are clearly Pre meditated. You guys are planning them on here weeks ahead!!!
EWOODACE1 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 disapointing today but wasnt deserved. steve kean has turned a corner and you may dislike me saying that but since he brought his own no 2 in we have been far better. but he still isnt getting results and needs to be replaced. but who will want to come here. im also starting to think that the anger and protests are aimed at the wrong persons. venkys for me should have the brunt of these protest not kean. i am by no means a kean fan and he needs to go as 6 wins in 31 games or whatever it is is appauling but i stress again. turn the attention on venkys as its because of all their decisions were we are.
pick32 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Mark Lawrenson is a bigger dick than Kean. Between him shearer and Hansen they have got all the angles of pundit stupidity covered.
booth Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 So momentary lapses in defence never happened under the tactical master sam did they. The difference is sam might have worked through the mistakes on the training pitch so as to try not to make the same mistake again. This is a good squad, we can actually play football against the top teams now instead of smash, bang, wallop footy, and still end up losing by 1 or 2 goals ,were not getting exactly carved open now are we? Dont let the sand get up your nose.

Miker Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Can't fault Kean for that result. Did everything right. One poor mistake and inability to finish any of our chances cost us.
EWOODACE1 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Turned a corner? Complete tosh. he has as we are looking more like a team but as i said he isnt getting the results. our next 5 games are massive now as they are all winnable games
RibbleValleyRover Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 he has as we are looking more like a team but as i said he isnt getting the results. our next 5 games are massive now as they are all winnable games Give Kean 5 more games and that's it, Rovers are dead and buried. Kean has 6 wins in 32 games and he has NEVER won two games in a row in the league.

Well done. You do know soon it will be too late for a real manager to save our ass? If not, already?
HATRIX Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Packing the dumb fish tackle away now ,had a few bites ,nothing spectacular .Good evening!
yoda Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 An amazing in depth post ,cheers . and 100% accurate

Kean has 6 wins in 32 games and he has NEVER won two games in a row in the league. im not saying i want him in charge. people just seem to have read that ive said he has turned a corner which i believe he has. in the rest of my post ive stated that he still needs to go. but aim the anger at venkys not kean. they are the ones destroying our club You're actually worse than Venky's. Well done. You do know soon it will be too late for a real manager to save our ass? If not, already? are you an idiot read the rest of my post before you start criticizing. ive stated he should go but we havnt looked as bad recently. stop scimming and read the full post
Andy Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 but aim the anger at venkys not kean. they are the ones destroying our club Yes, Venky's appointed him - and continue to back him - but Kean knows as well as we do that he's not up to the job and yet he's quite happy to keep picking up his inflated salary with no regard to the long-term welfare of the club.
