Yes, Venky's appointed him - and continue to back him - but Kean knows as well as we do that he's not up to the job and yet he's quite happy to keep picking up his inflated salary with no regard to the long-term welfare of the club.

im just worried on what their next appointment ( if there will be 1 ) will be. they dont have much interest in the club it seems and like the odd interview for some publicity is all they care for. i wouldnt be surprised if they will sack kean when its too late and replace him with some indian business man in who has run a bussiness well back home and turned it round.

No idea if this has been said but if the poor results were actually down to Jensen, what exactly is Kean doing? If Clement has suddenly brought in this new work ethic that is helping us improve I have to wonder where the input from our manager comes from?

i got the feeling kean and jensen didnt get on. but he should have fought for his own man instead of having one chose for him

If the poor form is down to the two of them "not getting on" there is a massive question in regards to their professionalism. Why have we only picked up "results" (remember now good performances do not necessarily = points) now that we have a different assistant manager? This would suggest to me that Kean (despite being an "amazing coach") is not giving a fair amount of input in regards to the training and coaching side of management.

I'm interested in those who are suggesting that we have "turned the corner".

That's two points from the last six league games.

If that's turning the corner, then I'd hate to see what it would be like if the wheels fell off...I guess we would go into minus points or something...

6 points from 11 league games. If Wolves beat Wigan at home tomorrow we will be four points from safety, AT THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER.

The times of Ince are seeming like glory days in comparison.

maybe. cant really answer why a new assistant has improved us. the only improvment though has been performances not really results

So momentary lapses in defence never happened under the tactical master sam did they. The difference is sam might have worked through the mistakes on the training pitch so as to try not to make the same mistake again. This is a good squad, we can actually play football against the top teams now instead of smash, bang, wallop footy, and still end up losing by 1 or 2 goals ,were not getting exactly carved open now are we? :rover:

No, we simply arent winning football matches!

Picked up results? It's this kind of mass hypnosis that's keeping him in a job. Spooky.

The fact that's the majority of the fans is encouraging.

However, the fact that it's after the match means that Kean can hide away in the dressing room before shooting off into his taxi, rather than having to face the fans he's quite clearly and intentionally been winding up with his recent stupid comments.

Personally can't see it being the majority - not judging by the usual flood of fans leaving the ground as I left.

Interesting - one chant of "stand up if you want Kean Out" - had very limited response.

Today - we looked fairly solid at the back - played with invention going forward - and but for a bit of luck would have got at least a point. To be honest we seem to be improving match by match. Wigan away has now become the pivotal match - carry on with the improvement and we will win and hopefully start to pick up the results that our performances have started to merit - get beat and we could be looking for a new manager.

A few matches ago I would have had him sacked - at the moment, would be willing to give him one more match.

As I have said on a different thread, a 'majority' wouldn't mind a new manager, but they sure as hell arent arsed about doing anything about it.

i dont think its about being arsed. i dont stay behind as i meet someone outside after the match plus i dont blame kean. i think he is a shocking manager but its venkys that the anger should be aimed at. but the protests are aimed at no one as the owners are never there.

Samba pulled his hamstring and will be out for a few weeks.

Well that's Kean's excuse for our next few games.

Let's hope Dann is fit to partner Givet in the meantime. Thankfully we've a two week break.

It'd be too much to hope we have a new manager installed for our next game, so we are relying on the players and their reversion to Allardyce tactics, as the 'gameplan' goes out of the window in the last 10 minutes of matches.

It is a good squad.

Disagree. We had nothing on the bench with possibly the exception of Simon- who he didn't bring on.

We can get a decent first 11 out - after that its's poor.

Thought the game was bang average today, didn't think we offered much and Chelsea weren't great either.

Weird atmosphere in the BBE, It's getting very fractious. Not many stayed behind. I think people are resigned to going down.
