Because the protests have been so successful so far haven't they? Chanting 'Kean out' when we go 1-0 down at home to Chelsea, definitely doesn't sound like sour grapes that.

Is the protest ban now in affect at all Blackburn Rovers home games and will need to be revoked by the club ? I ask because it seems an organic protest will be illegal should the poor run of results continue, and therefore anybody protesting or chanting anything construed as protest either spare of the moment or organised can be ejected from the ground etc

When you get down off your high horse, go and sit in the corner and have some quiet time.

This judgmental attitude of those who protest to those that don't protest is unbelievable, hardly anybody stayed anyway and believe me, I'm hurting as much as anyone about the current situation.

Quiet time? Isn't that what most Rovers fans do every home game? I'd suggest strapping on a pair.

Judgemental? Perhaps. Correct? Yes.

Most Rovers will typically act when it is too late. I'll sleep tonight though.

Not surprised, I expect nothing less. The negativity and laziness is like a bad disease in this town... No time action or optimism... Just the typical "not my problem" attitude.

Stating your opinion as fact, what a shock.

As I've said, the protests haven't been effective, and the plane going around ewood several times during the game yesterday became embarassing after the second set of laps.

I sing my heart out every game from start to finish, perhaps you should consider doing the same instead of lambasting those that don't protest.

Can I just say, that the club have put the seed in for us to all fall out, PLEASE PLEASE, dnt fall out with each other. We all want the same things but have different ways of expressing ourselves. By falling out with each other Kean and Venkys have already won. We must rise above it, with the opinion and action of "What hurts us makes us stronger"

For every barrier that is put in our way, we should use this to our advantage to be a united set of supporters regardless of what side of the fence we sit on.

I will be going on Sports tonight TV at 15.45

Good for you. Sing is all I've done all season, it's what we do best in the Darwen end. Currently the only thing that makes it worth while.

What a load of tripe.

The protests are attracting a right set of chavvy morons too. Some clown with about 3 teeth was trying to encourage me to burn a police horse with a cig after the city game, he was promptly told to eff off.

Was that you?

Of course they will attract such folk, WE LIVE IN BLACKBURN.

And no, it wasn't.

Wigan is do or die. Win and there will be a jubilant away end. Lose, and with 4000 packed in, it could get nasty. It's just one of those games - Kean won't be able to get away from any anger should there be any.

Will be interesting.

Can't call it, could go either way

Unfortunately Glen people have different opinions, and quite a few have pretty poor ways of expressing them. You yourself have been shocked to be looked down upon because you don't have a season ticket. All over this and other threads there are people who support the protests looking down on those who don't especially, saying things like we don't deserve a club etc.

What's saddest of all is that there are now a proportion of fans that see the club as the enemy

Whilst I appreciate some fans believe they have the club at heart by wanting to get shut of Kean, I start having less sympathy for their plight (or flight) when we're playing well and the players appear to be playing for him. For me, those points far outweigh anything else (including what is now clearly a personal vendetta against Kean, which is certainly not putting the club first).

Sorry Mr Tombro but I think you're way off the mark. Saying it's a personal vendetta is daft.

Some fans had a personal vendetta against Sam Allardyce because whether you liked the man or not, on a limited budget he was getting results.

It's not a personal vendetta against Steve Kean because he's quite clearly not fit to do the job.

Football managers are judged on results and 18.85% success rate must be scraping the bottom of the barrel. The evidence is there but too many people are ignoring it.

Soon the players will lose heart and I wonder what the excuse will be then.

This is the worry. Those having a go at the protestors really don't realize that the time may come where they may feel wrong done by and they won't be able to chant their disapproval. I wonder if they'll still be clapping their hands when Steve Kean is in charge with four games to go and we're already relegated. Perhaps on that day everyone will get kicked out.

Funny how Utd fans, Everton fans, Liverpool fans - they all protest and everyone pats them on the back for sticking up for the team and standing proud. With Blackburn it's seen as a criminal act and not supporting your team.

Don't think that's true. Many other fans thought Newcastle, Liverpool and United fans were idiots for their protests, and had a good laugh at them

Wins is plural and by the middle of nov we ain't got more than one! Nuff said.

So what do you do then? If you want the manager replacing? Do you just sit with fingers crossed and hope that will happen? The days of people sitting at the top who feel the hurt as much as we do have gone for me, so whats the answer if you want the manager out?

Lets not forget here that the manager, who I backed longer than I should have, is the worst manager we've ever had, his record is appalling, so to sit and hope the owners will act is farfetched.

Says it all really, GAV. Ultimately, fans get the the manager and club they deserve. It seems Blackburn and East Lancashire really isn't a footballing hotbed anymore. Too many fans are putting up with 3 wins in the last 24 league games, if they are still going to games that is as it seems we have lost thousands of fans somewhere along the way, and are not doing anything to try to get rid of the incompetent who has presided over it. In fact, many childishly and triumphantly deride the well-meaning efforts of others as being "embarrassing". At least those involved in the protests are trying for better for their club.

Kean isn't just a particularly mediocre manager, he is the worst manager Rovers have ever had. That is not a value judgement, it is empirically verified though the cold, hard truth of statistics.

I don't remember Geoff Stelling and the Soccer Saturday team doing so. I also don't remember anyone on MOTD condemning them, or any of the media.

To be quite honest I don't remember many other fans having a good laugh about it, apart from Newcastle of course. And you can't compare Rovers fans to Newcastle fans. Newcastle fans tell everyone how they are the best fans in the world, yet turn on the club should they suddenly sell a different flavour of crisps in the stand.

I could somewhat understand the frustrations of the anti-protesters if we had a REAL manager. You know, someone with a proven track record who was actually hired on merit. At least you could argue there was the potential for them to turn things around. Steve Kean is neither of those things. He was hired as a 'yes man' because he had powerful friends behind the scenes. He was not hired as the best man for taking the club forward. He's a shyster, an imposter, and a lackey. He has no business managing this club, and anyone who attacks the protesters for making that point needs a reality check.

Precisely. Even Martinez has SOME previous experience and success to turn to. Kean has nothing.

I'd post my photographs if somebody would tell me how. I sit in row 6 and there is plenty of sky above the banner. I don't believe that four rows further back the plane was invisible.

Fine, as stated, im sure ou got a great view from row 6. If you dont believe it wasnt visible from further back, the fine, but your are wrong.

Why on earth would anyone want to lie about not be able to see the plane!??

From row 10 back, the height of the plane and the roof meant you couldn't see it. You could hear it though.

I'll generalise all I want, a lot of the people taking part in th protests are an embarrassment to the club, end of story.

Hmmm, I wonder how history will remember the people who didn't care enough to speak out should we go down.

"Why didn't people do something?"

How will you answer that Dave?

You prefer anarchy then do you. That's the sure way to lose credibility.

Credibility with who ? A sponteneous angry response would scare the crap out of Kean and Venkys.

As long as they are controlling things then nothing will change. The plane yesterday was fantastic.

It's pretty obvious the protests are a complete waste of time now and the dwindling numbers taking part prove a lot of people agree with this sentiment. It's also obvious to me that some people there yesterday were more interested in protesting than the match itself.

Hmmm, I wonder how history will remember the people who didn't care enough to speak out should we go down.

Listen, I want Kean out of the club as much as anyone, all I am saying is that these protests are not having the desired effect at all.

What is the solution? I really have no idea, I haven't felt this deflated about our club in my 20 odd years of supporting them.
