Just wanted to understand the interest and when/where would be best? Ewood, Canberra Club, Hotel... Anyways let me know. Cheers Gary

Ricky Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Ewood would be great but may be expensive. As for guest speakers surely it would be ideal to get garner for the first one
thenonda Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 will have more details later this week agreed garner would be great! would want the tickets to be reasonable so would depend on what rovers could do for us.
Stuart Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Dates permitting I'd be up for this. It'll be interesting doing the table plan!!
Ricky Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Ha ha, as long as we have a mod table in a nice elevated position
ABBEY Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 If its anywhere but venkys coop then yes if at ewood then I won't be giving the V's any more of my money.

glen9mullan Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Would love to come to this if you can organise one, will bring the wife too if Women can come?
Stuart Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Would love to come to this if you can organise one, will bring the wife too if Women can come? I think you mean partners. There are women who post on BRFCS!
AllRoverAsia Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 If its late 1st Quarter I'll try and time a UK visit around it. Garner as Speaker would be good - my all time favourite.
thenonda Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 For me, anyone can come: anyone know how to do a poll?
Backroom Tom Posted November 6, 2011 Backroom Posted November 6, 2011 I'm up for that in fact I looked into organising one last year but got sidetracked. Blackburn rugby club quoted me decent prices so that may be worth a check pal. Ha ha, as long as we have a mod table in a nice elevated position I like the sound of that ricky we can tell people off all night
Glenn Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I'm up for that in fact I looked into organising one last year but got sidetracked. You had a kid, distractions don't come much bigger! Though it probably is worth you to swapping notes (and BPF who I believed looked into it last season). I know traditionally sportsmans dinners tend to be all mail affairs, but this really needs to be open to all (well, all adults, or the drinks license could be a mess).
Mike Graham Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Great idea and I am happy to support. I have Howard Webb speaking at a work event next month, do you want me to contact him when a date and venue is arranged?

Backroom Tom Posted November 6, 2011 Backroom Posted November 6, 2011 Last one I went to was in rishton golf club Abbs bit of a shoddy place. I personally think its better as members only so people mingle more but I'm happy either way.
SAS Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Think it's a great ideA, I would be interested. I also think a table plan needs to be created on here before any event, so that people who know each other can share a table.
darwenblueswearehere Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I'd be really interested in attending this, but any chance it could be held in/near a decent hotel for those of us who don't live locally and would have to stay overnight?
Backroom Tom Posted November 6, 2011 Backroom Posted November 6, 2011 If you're buying the beers I'm happy Abbs, I'll even pretend I know about Tim Tebow. Wonder if Fernhurst do them? Just thinking f places with access to hotels as there aren't many hotels in the area

It needs organising date setting and people committing to buying a ticket.
Brfcrule1 Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 yeah I'd be up for that and if either roversmum or kamy are coming I wouldn't mind sharing a table with either or both of them.
