Stuart Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 firstly - away from home secondly - 10 men thirdly - came from behind twice fourthly - not a full strength team or squad. any more?? I'm sure there will be. Keep an eye on Kean's interviews over the next 48 hours or so.

Kelbo Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Clearly nobody understood the Laws of the game because if they had done, all the Wigan players would have surrounded the ref and insisted he talk to the "Linesman" for a second opinion. on the subject of cheating there is not a minute that goes by where players don't cheat to get free kicks, corners, penalties, players sent off. they do it cynically and in a covert way. This was as obvious and open as you can get. Clearly Yak wanted to give the slightest touch without appearing to touch it. Whatever happened it worked. like Asa Hartford's dream goal, it won't happen again but if the ref and other officials missed it like they did the obstruction on Robinson for the goal or the fact that Dunn made contact with the ball before player then that's show business. And neither do you, the liner was at the other side of the pitch (Left Back) The ref should have seen it!!!
AllRoverAsia Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 firstly - away from home secondly - 10 men thirdly - came from behind twice fourthly - not a full strength team or squad. any more?? fifthly - we were pants
Blueboy Downunder Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 i just want to clarify, that i am not "pro" kean at all. just trying to point out that considering the circumstances that did eventuate, makes the final score today a good result for us.
Paul Mellelieu Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Last minute decided to go. The Venkys group passed in front of me as I approached the main stand giving me the opportunity to shout the usual stuff -Venkys Out! and so on - at them. MAde me feel better and led to a few other Rovers' fans joining in. As for the game: terrible. That's it. Kean at the end punching the air as if we'd won the FA Cup, firstly in the direction of the Rovers' end and then towards the posh seats in the main stand was a disgrace. As far as I could tell most Rovers' fans were hostile to Kean and Venkys, but the loudest chants were Rovers 'til I die.
broadsword Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 a quick shifty at the league table makes it a bad result for us.
roverandout Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 down to 10 mean AFTER we were already being outplayed, wigan had key players missing too, we scored in the 6th minute of stoppage time when there was never 6 minutes of stoppage time and also we came back the first time by cheating so your point about the spirit or determination is moot.
super_arran Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 What peed me off the most was the nobs behind us. We equalised to make it 2-2 and they didn't celebrate, clap, cheer, nothing. All game "This looks like a team run by the players" "if allardyce was here he wouldn't of done that" "Kean out!" We scored the penalty "eff sake!" Wrong stand army
Rovermatt Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 To concede 3 goals against a p*ss poor side like Wigan is unforgiveable but entirely in keeping with the season so far. Our defence is a shambles and our manager an amateur of comedic proportions. We got lucky today and a paltry point is far too high a price to keep this moron in the dugout.
PAFELL Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 And neither do you, the liner was at the other side of the pitch (Left Back) The ref should have seen it!!! I think peds thought yakubu had touched the ball. The refs had is back to peds when the corner was taken. Therefore did not see it.

All game "This looks like a team run by the players" "if allardyce was here he wouldn't of done that" "Kean out!" We scored the penalty "eff sake!" Wrong stand army I'm afraid that is what Kean and Venky's have managed to do to Rovers, now some fans would prefer to lose, just to get rid of Kean/ convince Venky's to sell up. Personally, if a loss today would have seen Kean sacked, then today's result is the worst of the season.
roverandout Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 yes it really looked like he touched the ball, i could see it from a distance he didnt, from my laptop of course so im pretty sure pederson knew he didnt touch it, just plain cheating, nothing more, nothing less.
Backroom Tom Posted November 19, 2011 Backroom Posted November 19, 2011 I actually think Pedersen though The Yak had touched it (although I am talking blind here) I just can't see any player even thinking of trying that. We had the most annoying lad every behind us, constantly whinged about everything rightly or wrongly, you'd think he was Brian Clough, or more like he thought he was but didn't have a clue. My day was ruined as soon as Glenn was mean about my moustache Nice to meet to Ohmi, Philip, MattyBlue, Hughesy and others from here today along with the bunch I've met before. Edit: Another moan, 6 goals, a red card, a penalty, a penalty not given, a last minute goal, a hugley controversial goal, yet still not game of the day on Sky Sports
Josh Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 get over it, you'd think it had gone against us with all the moaning. After what happened with the penalties against us at Norwich and at home to Everton, it's about time we got away with something
Mike Graham Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 We were the pits today, an absolute disgrace. One of the worst performances I have seen for years. The team was shapeless and there was no breadth. THE ONLY POSITIVES WERE THE 90% HAVING A GO AT THE VENKYS AND KEAN. No wonder the chinless chicken idiots left after 75 minutes; they must have got the message that they are not wanted. TODAY WAS A TURNING POINT AND ROVERS FANS GAVE A CLEAR TWO FINGERS TO VENKYS AND KEAN.
LDRover Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 firstly - away from home secondly - 10 men thirdly - came from behind twice fourthly - not a full strength team or squad. any more?? Bottom of the league Worst team on form in ALL the divisions Half empty HOME stadium with more apathetic fans than us One nil up after two mins against a team shot of any confidence Continually playing a fat bloke on a yellow card who was thirty seconds behind every ball Woeful in possession Even worse without possession Steve Kean Any more?
AllRoverAsia Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I think peds thought yakubu had touched the ball. The refs had is back to peds when the corner was taken. Therefore did not see it. He knew he had - with his finger. The ball did not move a cm. MGP looked, saw the Ref wasn't looking and ''took advantage'' aka cheated.
Mike Graham Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Goodness, Dunny got some s**t from the Rovers fans when he was sent off: "you fat bars**d" and "f**k off Dunny" etc. He was a joke today, past it unfortunately.
Backroom DE. Bit harsh but he hasn't exactly endeared himself to the fans with his recent comments or performances. As for MGP, well, he isn't exactly a stranger to cheating is he? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cpTcl1cC4E at least this time we got a goal out of it, I guess. Not nice to know we had to cheat to draw with Wigan, though.
super_arran Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 People are complaining that the MGP corner wasn't pulled back by the ref.....why?? Saying Peds knew Yak hadn't touched it.....how do you know this? People complaining pretty much sum up my signature
John Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Dunny was out on the lash in Edinburgh last weekend, in Lulu bar, obviously keeping himself in good condition.
roverandout Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 people are complaining about alot more than pederson's 'cheating', how about the game overall? much to be positive about bar getting a point?
krypton1980 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 He knew he had - with his finger. The ball did not move a cm. MGP looked, saw the Ref wasn't looking and ''took advantage'' aka cheated. He may have cheated - but if he hadn`t we would have lost today. Wigan were by far the better team in the first half and should have been out of sight by half time. Don`t get me started on Dunny - completely unnecessary booking in the first half & sheer stupidity for the sending off. Paul Robinson the only man to thank the fans after the game - lots of respect for him for that , but the rest of the team should have been with him. Venkys left early - dont think they liked the many renditions of Kean Out - Venkys Out. Will be interesting to here what Kean has to say about the away support now.

Showed him laughing it off with Yak on the way back for the restart.
Kendalrover Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Kean never ceases to amaze me. The more he speaks the more ludicrous and deluded he sounds. If he was to be more honest, truthful and humble I am sure he would have more respect, but the more he opens his mouth the more he alienates the fans. However I have come to the conclusion that he now only speaks to impress the owners. Anyone who knows about football knows he talks crap. However our owners probably lap up all this positivity and think it is great. About the match. We were outplayed for most of the game by a team who had not won their last 8 games and in fact Wigan could have scored another 3 in the first half. Our midfield in that first half was non existant with Wigan running at us at will. It is clear that with Hoillet and Rochina playing there is no support for our fullbacks and when one is Salgado well we know what to expect. Things improved after the second half with the sending off but this probably affected Wigan as much as us. Kean talks about a minority against him and all away fans are for him. Well I can assure him if he had stood where I stood than he would have quickly learnt the truth. Keans behaviour after the game was unbelieveable and just demonstrated how arrogant and delusional he his. To walk off the pitch 'celebrating' to the fans and the directors box was amazing. Most of the fans around me were giving him the V sign.
