He knew he had - with his finger. The ball did not move a cm. MGP looked, saw the Ref wasn't looking and ''took advantage'' aka cheated.

Can't agree at all. If the ref wasn't looking he'd surely ask for it to be retaken. It's such a weird attempt at cheating, I'm sure Peds thought Yak must have touched it, or at least wasn't sure and thought he'd chance it.

None of the Wigan players appealed, maybe from the view on the pitch it appeared like Yak had tapped it.

people are complaining about alot more than pederson's 'cheating', how about the game overall? much to be positive about bar getting a point?

Like I said. The people complaining about PEDERSEN....why?

Already said in the Steve Kean thread that he got the tactics wrong and we were dreadful.

Overall - In any other season, this game, like the Norwich game could be seen as a one off. But this was a must win. There are no excuses, in fact we were damn lucky to get anything. A draw doesn't help anyone. A loss and Kean's gone, a win and we're back in touch with the rest of the league. Credit where its due for getting back into it after Dunn's red card, but today we needed more. I dont know how much Kean is to blame for today, but we need a new manager just to bring some new impetus into the side as much as anything else.

It appears that to get anything out of a game we have to score a minimum of 3 goals. 7 points out of 12 games is shocking. Things have got to change or we'll be down by February.

At least we were the ones who managed to sneak a last minute equaliser. Couldn't imagine how a Wigan fan must be feeling after today.

I felt utterly deflated coming away from the DW Stadium today. The Rovers looked like a ragbag outfit at times and the lack of direction from the so called manager is almost as pathetic as the lack of leadership from the clowns from Pune. Both of the sides on view today will be playing Championship football next season. Thanks Venky's for destroying what Jack built - and to think you managed to do it within a year!

Goodness, Dunny got some s**t from the Rovers fans when he was sent off: "you fat bars**d" and "f**k off Dunny" etc. He was a joke today, past it unfortunately.

Must admit I gave my fair share, appalling stuff from him today.

His first booking was about 2 seconds after the ball had gone and the typical Dunny thing of make a token lunge to look like I'm making an effort. About ten minutes after that he jumped and deliberatley handballed it then moaned at the ref. The red card was so obvious everyone was talking about it coming at half time, sadly Kean couldn't see it.

Having said that we looked like we had more men on the pitch after he went off.

Lets get real folks.

Today had the chance to meet up with fellow members Philipl, Preston Blue and Ozz. Nice to see you guys.

On the pitch, Kean got it all wrong from the off. Why 4-5-1 when we should have had two solid attackers on ? If only he had been as positive as he claims he is with the formation he sent out because tactics wise the team in the first 45 minutes were shocking. If anyone ever esanted evidence of a team NOT playing for their manager then this was it.

Rovers were mullered down the right flank where Salgado had yet another game to forget. The midfield apart from NZonzi and Pederson were non existant. The support for Yakubu wasnt there and Hoilett was just not in the game. Despite this we took an early lead to confound the critics yet seemed happy to concede two of the worst goals we will ever see. Robbo and the floundering defence were to blame as they took the lead and YES Wigan are truly awful and that emphasises just how poor we were in the first 45 minutes.

The second should have seen Rovers consolidating as they took Salgado off and out another youngster on for his debut. I have to say this lad Henly looked and fared far better than Salgado has done all season in his 45 mins cameo. We then saw inspirational leadership for our so called Stalwart Rover in Dunny. How irresponsible of him to get sent off for a most reckless effort. There is no defence as when he took the ball from the throw in he got himself into trouble.

With 10 men, the chants of Kean OUT got louder and louder however it saw the team galvanise a little. Although the play was broken up and littered with errors we got lucky with Pederson causing havoc and Hoilett heading home the equaliser for 2-2. At that point Wigan were ripe for the taking, they were unorganised and wide open and onlky another monumental miss from the Yak stopped us taking the lead, I say monumental because like the Chelsea chance he simply flunked it big time. You then got the feeling that there was only 1 outcome especially when Wigan threw on the tiniest player I think I have ever seen. He was never going to cause us any trouble was he ?

Still, we huffed and ouffed as did Wigan. They were still ripping into us and only a fine save kept us level unti yet another calamatous effort saw inch high score the third Wigan goal with 7 minutes left. I could see Keans fretting, rubbing his brow and you could almost sense what he was rehearsing as an excuse as the call for him to leave got LOUDER and LOUDER. The MAJORITY were in unison in singing KEAN OUT.

As the announcement of 6 minutes OT came across I pondeered that I wont be seeing my team ever play again in the Premier League away from Ewood, I had given up hope and then a brave header by Robbo got us a penalty. Yak comfortably stroking the ball home as Rovers took what a lot will say was an undeserved point.

The scenes at the end can only be described as unreal. A full row of stewards and Police stood between the pitch and the Rovers support as the angst and ire was directed towards Kean and Venky's. The abuse was very clearly aimed at the Venky's golden child. I couldnt believe the gall of the idiot when he turned and gave the fisted salute to the away crowd. Tghat was an embarrassment and serious error of judgement on his behalf.

LET ME EXPLAIN THAT AT NO POINT WAS HE CHEERED OR REVERED BY THE CROWD, THAT WAS RESERVED FOR ROBBO WHO CAME TO APPLAUD THE FANS.

I have listened to his intervew on BBC, he is deluded, he is mistaken and he is clearly so far out of his depth its unexplainable.

For Rovers to survive, they have to dispense of this cretins services as soon as possible. Its the only way we can have a chance of surviving.

Robbo - saved us and won the penalty. Shocking goalkeeping for the first goal.

Salgado - a sad end to whats been a great career. Torn apart.

Dann - wide open and I dont think he won a header all game.

Hanley - not a bad second half but all over the place in the first half.

Givet - usual steady self stood up to be counted.

NZonzi - a boy amongst men. If only the rest could show his passion.

Pederson - another solid game, unlucky with the free kick and cheeky with the corner.

Hoilett - did he really complete 90 minutes.

Rochina - knocked off the ball too easy and gave too much away.

Dunn - terrible absolutely terrible.

Yak, 2 goals from the striker you cant exactly complain.

Henley - looked good.

Roberts and Formica - not enough time to impress.

Tactics and manager - NON EXISTANT KEAN OUT.

I came away today laughing at some of the morons who were throwing beer under the stand and trying the pogo. What silly little chavs you are. the same for the idiot who had a go because I had a chat with one of the Police Officers sat on her horse (a friend of mine). What a pity that that particular clown didnt get to watch the game because of his abuse

Please tell me you're on a wind up.

Wigan had lost the last 6 and we're playing well ( according to gobshite anyway)...how do you come to the conclusion thats a good result?

firstly - away from home

secondly - 10 men

thirdly - came from behind twice

fourthly - not a full strength team or squad.

any more??

Do you write the scripts for Kean? Sounds like his kind of drivel. :wstu:

Kean never ceases to amaze me. The more he speaks the more ludicrous and deluded he sounds. If he was to be more honest, truthful and humble I am sure he would have more respect, but the more he opens his mouth the more he alienates the fans.

However I have come to the conclusion that he now only speaks to impress the owners. Anyone who knows about football knows he talks crap. However our owners probably lap up all this positivity and think it is great.

About the match. We were outplayed for most of the game by a team who had not won their last 8 games and in fact Wigan could have scored another 3 in the first half. Our midfield in that first half was non existant with Wigan running at us at will. It is clear that with Hoillet and Rochina playing there is no support for our fullbacks and when one is Salgado well we know what to expect.

Things improved after the second half with the sending off but this probably affected Wigan as much as us.

Kean talks about a minority against him and all away fans are for him. Well I can assure him if he had stood where I stood than he would have quickly learnt the truth.

Keans behaviour after the game was unbelieveable and just demonstrated how arrogant and delusional he his. To walk off the pitch 'celebrating' to the fans and the directors box was amazing. Most of the fans around me were giving him the V sign.

Yep, there were thousands telling the plonker to go forth and multiply, We need to build up the pressure on Kean and the chicken wallers.

He knew alright. Showed him laughing it off with Yak on the way back for the restart.

That proves it then.

Players laughing and smiling after scoring a goal??? Whatever next.

They might have been saying "wheeey, that worked"

Yak: "I didn't touch it"

MGP: *looks bemused* really?

Both: "Ha! Wheeeey"

Conspiracy corner

If one of our players dived or play acted for a penalty I doubt too many people on here would complain. Plenty of players have 'cheated' against us, and this is, if anything, just a smart piece of play (if it was intentional). He took advantage of the position and we scored. What's the point in complaining?? There are far more serious issues to get angry about..

oh silly me, i spelt pederson's i mean pedersen's name wrong, early to bed for me without any super, i mean supper.

I wasn't commenting on your spelling.

Just emphasising the fact I was asking about people's complaint about Pedersens corner rather than the whole game

Couldn't care less whether the goal should have stood, had enough things against us over last few years.

Having said that, most people prepared to give Kean a chance said that Wigan was a must win. Point was 'decent' under the circumstances but the fact remains we were battered and extremely lucky for most of the game. It will only be a good point, if Kean has gone by Monday.

If that had been the case , why did no wigan players attempt to go towards Peds before he started his run?

Martinez diplomatic view of it "I haven't done the referees' course but I am sure you have to watch the ball at all times," Martinez added with smiling sarcasm.

People are complaining that the MGP corner wasn't pulled back by the ref.....why??

Saying Peds knew Yak hadn't touched it.....how do you know this?

People complaining pretty much sum up my signature

yeah and I'm sick of those complaining about the complainers! you really do need to get a life ... how do you know that "burglar-cheryl" ain't got chlamydia or black-siff?

You got me wrong brother, you said he didn't know that Yak hadnt touched the ball, I reckon his reaction showed he did know.

I don't give a shiny ###### if he cheated or not if he can get away with it.

Despite what I've posted so far re MGPs goal assist let's not let it deflect from the real issues from today:

* We were pants

* Dunn is a pork belly

* Kean is certifiable

* Do the Raos know that we were not playing at Ewood Park today

* Who gave the Raos grieve at half-time - a legend in the making

* What's the beer in Wigan like

* Would MGP have got away with that at OT and if he had what would Sir have done

Well you'd be "careful" wouldn't you?

I need to get a life because I'm quite grateful that we went away with a "cheaters" point?

Alright then....

So, personally; if you could, would you have the goal taken away and settle for a loss because of the way it happened?

I actually think Pedersen though The Yak had touched it (although I am talking blind here) I just can't see any player even thinking of trying that.

We had the most annoying lad every behind us, constantly whinged about everything rightly or wrongly, you'd think he was Brian Clough, or more like he thought he was but didn't have a clue.

My day was ruined as soon as Glenn was mean about my moustache :(

Nice to meet to Ohmi, Philip, MattyBlue, Hughesy and others from here today along with the bunch I've met before.

Edit: Another moan, 6 goals, a red card, a penalty, a penalty not given, a last minute goal, a hugley controversial goal, yet still not game of the day on Sky Sports

Did I meet you today Tom? I was a bit worse for wear so I canne recall?

On the game, two very poor teams that will be down there all season.
