Mike Graham Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Lots of pies tomorrow!! In Wigan from 08.30 to 19.00. The wonders of Virgin. Good stuff Phillip, enjoy it......COYB
Taggart Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 First away game of the season for me, can`t wait and I think we will win tomorrow, 3-1 to the Rovers. I think N`Zogbia is a big miss for them this season, and if we play like we have done in the last couple of matches, I think we will take it tomorrow. Beer, Train, beer, Footy, Pies, Footy, Beer, Train, Beer - bring it on !
roverandout Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 can see wigan winning a very tight and in-your-face affair, 2-1 to wigan.
ruggles1995 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 can see wigan winning a very tight and in-your-face affair, 2-1 to wigan. also have a bad feeling about tomorrow. I reckon it will be a 1-0 defeat or 1-1 draw.
John Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Wigan squad looks pretty poor, don't think we will lose.
John Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Think we have more talent and quality in our squad.
Stuart Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I'm strangely comfortable that we'll win this tomorrow.
Ossydave Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I know its a daft old cliche but we really can be the 12th man tomorrow especially with the paltry home crowd that'll be on show. COYB
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Strangely optimistic about this one - but then again I was last year as well. We didn't do too bad last year - until the pitch became totally waterlogged - lets hope for better this year.
broadsword Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Can't decide if I'm apathetic, desperately anxious, fatalistic, or something else. I think I just want tomorrow to be over. A win is just a stay of execution, methinks.
Blue blood Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Think we'll win this one. We don't have too many problems scoring, and wigan are a rather open team to say the least. Sure we might need to score 3 or 4 to win a game but thinking that there's a good chance of this happening. Wigan aren't too great offensively either, although I thought they looked no great shakes last year and they still managed to put 4 past us. However, despite this, I still think that we have grounds for optimism going into this match. If this is a must win game for us, then it is even more so for Wigan, being the home team. Added to which, this surely by any rational man's book has to be the last chance saloon for Kean, with even the media beginning to turn against him. He always managed to weasel a win when most needed and it certainly is most needed now. I fully expect a win and a stay of execution till at least January to accompany it. 3-2 Rovers. Pedersen, Yakubu and Rochina.
Stockport rover Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Any final numbers on ticket sales? And could someone fill me in where everyones going pub wise before the game?
bennyboyt11 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Must win for Rovers, if we can't beat these we deserve to go down.
dazmaz Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I'm strangely comfortable that we'll win this tomorrow. I thought the same about wolves, norwich and pretty much every game this season. 3-1 wigan Expect worst hope for best, less disapointments that way
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 On paper we should win. The most annoying issue about our position in the table is that our squad is probably the strongest its been since 07/08 especially when you look at our attacking, creative midfielders. The pressure is on both teams but I dont dare expect to win. The last time i felt that was when we were 10 minutes from time at Carrow Road. Until we are at least 3 goals in front Im panicking about a comeback and I reckon the players will be feeling the same way. We need to go on a winning streak. If that doesn't start tomorrow it never will. It shouldnt come down to refereeing decisions or bad luck. If we cant outplay Wigan then we dont deserve to be here.
chaddyrovers Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Come On Rovers!!! We can win today. Looking forward to the game, just a shame that I've working this morning.
BigUts Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Up and about already. Getting the 10:20 from Southport...beers will be going in!! Where are the majority drinking? I was in the boozer opposite king street last year!?
ABBEY Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Woke up exited and raring to go Then I remembered kean and venkys and depression set in.
Stuart Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Woke up exited and raring to go Then I remembered kean and venkys and depression set in. Is that a posh way of saying, took a dump?
Andy Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Can't see any further than a Wigan win - 1-3 to them.
John Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Don't think I could take the dejection if we lose this one.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Woke up exited and raring to go Then I remembered kean and venkys and depression set in. Its match day - sod Kean and Venky's - its all about the team today ! Its sunny - just enjoy the ride (and hopefully we will be able to enjoy the ride home for a change !) COYB
