After Newcastle's announcement this morning I can actually imagine the Rao's sat in Pune today having a huge "lightbulb moment" and next season we will be playing in "The Venky's Chicken Bowl" with the Riverside renamed as "the hot-wing" - nothing would suprise me anymore with Venky's

I am off to Euro Disney this weekend and whilst I am there I am going see to see about joining the Mickey Mouse Club as this lot are quickly turning my football club into just that!!!

Hard to believe that this is Venky´s decision. Why would they gave two figs about Kean? Protests against them are unlikely to work as ´not only do they not care but, furterhmore, it´s not as if they are the ones running the club, now is it?

Smells like an SEM/Kentaro deal. With a certain superagent getting plenty from it. Just like his family are doing well out of his son´s transfer into our reserves.

When Rooney was taking the pee out of United, he got a visit from their fans. How now do our fans get their point across after the protests, plane, banners etc?

Even those fans who, amazingly, still wanted to give Kean time despite his embarrassing record (and it is his record in charge of us that is embarrassing, not the protests) must also be utterly bemused as to this occurance. Nobody, but nobody, nobody could see the sense in giving him a new contract.

Something is rotten in the state of Rovers...

I agree that Venkys will look to make some cash from renaming the stadium. Them saying they wouldn't rename it when they took over only makes me believe it even more.

Although i would expect alot of clubs to do the same in the future.

Still not saying its right, Ewood Park should remain.

A quick google reveals Edmund Kean was a 19th century actor known for his portrayals of Shakespeare's great tragic characters. Perhaps Steve Kean is one of his descendants determined to play a leading part in a 21st century tragedy at Ewood Park.

More like a decendant of Edmund Blackadder because he's a snake an he obviously has a cunning plan !

I'm waiting with baited breath for these fookin idiots to officially make THE biggest folly they will ever make at BRFC....how far are these people prepared to push the fans noses in the brown stuff?

On what grounds could any sane person give Kean a contract extension with his God damn awful record? :angry2:

Venky's....what are you REALLY doing with Rovers? what are your true intentions for this club?

Will be on @sportsTonightTV from about 21.30 Tonight discussing old bean head's proposed new contract on this link,

http://www.sportstonightlive.com/home/

Does that mean that they'll delay you about three times until five to eleven, only to stick you on earlier like last time?!

Do they have embeds of previous shows? Failing that perhaps someone can arrange a capture?

Glen - just a thought. Do you not think it's time that you 'cut loose' a bit otherwise there might be a risk that some Rovers fans, the general public and media become a bit bored with what they might perceive to be an ongoing 'stale gripe'. I know that there might be risks but anyone who has been on Twitter in the last 24 hours will have seen all sorts of allegations and the fact is that these allegations now are no longer confined to only a relatively small pocket of people.

Tbh, They rung me to go on show buddy, as I have been covering Rovers on there all season, before any protest started and any balls were kicked. We discuss different things each week, Re Games, points, Rovers news ect

They want our reaction to Kean getting a new contract so I will give them mine and the general feeling around Rovers supporters who I have spoke too, I have seen the rumour mill doing overtime on Twitter but thats all they are rumours unless someone wants to provide evidence.

We need to all be careful to make sure this always remains in Rovers best interest as a club and as supporters and the most important thing I can think of at this moment in time is 3 points at Wigan, The other stuff is out of our control unless the Venkys come out of their bunker

Have you spoken to the 99% mute majority that send Kean 20,000 letters each week but don't have internet access?

Has he signed yet? And as for all the bell-ends blaming the non-protesters for Kean getting his contract, do be quiet.

Venky's stupidity is the reason Kean is getting a new contract (if true) nothing else.
