BuckyRover Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 WTF? you can become a werewolf? I was presented with the opportunity last night. I had to explain that I needed to think about it. it's a big decision. Some refer to it as a curse.
davulsukur Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Vampirism was an option in Oblivion however once you were a fully fledge Vamp you could only be outside at night, for obvious reasons, but alot of people just ran a mile from you and trying to talk to em just resulted in them papping themselves and running away. Even so, it was a good feature, the option of becoming a werewolf sounds good. You gonna go for it buckyrover?
davulsukur Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 No spoilers required, but just wondering how buggy is the game? Specifically the Xbox 360 version? Bethesda have a pretty bad rep when it comes to releasing 'finished' games. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-face-off-skyrim Here's a comparison of PC, 360 and PS3, looks at bugs in the console versions. As Tom M says there is a texture issue with the 360, but its seemingly resolved by running the game from the dvd as opposed to the harddrive. Although you will probably have to clear the 360 cache from time to time.
BiggusLaddus Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 WTF? you can become a werewolf? You can indeed, you just have to know the right people... It's quite good fun to run around pillaging, but only lasts for a couple of minutes. Unless you 'sustain' yourself. Only used it in a dungeon once and it wasn't that useful there as the enemies all had silver weapons.

Not too bothered about a bit of lag or tearing it's when the game starts freezing when it seriously bothers me, Like Fallout New Vegas on PS3 the game apparently starts freezing once the save files get to over 5MB, there's nothing worse than wandering around for long periods of time getting loads of stuff done only for the game to suddenly freeze. This is a massive problem for me and will sadly put me right off buying this game unless they somehow patch it which I can't see happening.
roverandout Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 what are the graphics of the actual gameplay like? are they as bad as the ones on dragonage origin?
Mc Love Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 what kind of game is this? is it FPS or third person? hearing a lot about it and saw the trailer - look pretty good
Backroom Tom Posted November 21, 2011 Author Backroom Posted November 21, 2011 Either mate but I find the animation is clunky in third person so I play mostly in first. Action / adventure / rpg is the type of game
Clitherover Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Either mate but I find the animation is clunky in third person so I play mostly in first. I think most do if it's anything like Oblivion and either of the Fallout's, strafing just looks ridiculous in third person.
BiggusLaddus Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Good for posing around town while dressed as a centurian though.

Rover Down Under Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I'm really dissappointed (again) with the lack of underwear choices in the game. Everytime I pillage dead chicks for their armor they're always wearing the same grotty white underwear. Don't they have any shops selling, like, Skyrim Secrets lingerie? Why can't I craft some naughty leather gear and sell it that nice lady who runs the food stall in Whiterun? I'd love to enchant a Wonderbra of Uplifting for my character. On another note, I met a rather amusing talking dog today.
BuckyRover Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I'm still not a werewolf. Have you all done the drinking game quest? Quality
Exiled_Rover Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I'm still not a werewolf. Have you all done the drinking game quest? Quality Go do the Companions Quest (oh wait I see you have. Do it, there's no downside). And yes I've done the first part of the drinking game with Sam. Not tracked him down yet though.
American Rover12 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Seems like a must buy tomorrow on black friday. Can't wait to delve into this.
Clitherover Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Anyone playing on PS3, how bad are the problems, do they really get in the way of enjoying the game?
BiggusLaddus Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 If you run into the 'Esbern glitch(es)', they will at least annoy you and possibly prevent you from progressing the storyline. I'm on pc so i could get around it by playing with the data files, which is obviously not an option for consoles.
Backroom Tom Posted November 25, 2011 Author Backroom Posted November 25, 2011 Urgh this game. I love it and finally decided to do some story, so the last 4 hours or so that I have spent in the game I have been heading to see the greybeards, every single time I pass another dungeon or fort and waste another hour
BiggusLaddus Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Today I finally got around to finishing the main questline... Bit of a let down in the end really. Saving the world from destruction seems to have gone unnoticed.

jones_rover Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Considering getting this. Anyone playing this on the PS3? If yes, have you had any trouble with the lag issues?
