BPF I agree with a lot of what you said, I am actually watching and supporting Real Madrid to get away from the situation at Ewood, supporting another club here? It could happen I suppose but a change of ownership could change everything.

Despite the doom and the gloom, We are Blackburn Rovers, Founder members of both the football and Premier league. We have 136 years of history littered with highs and lows. We have had a few boards and lots of Managers. Christ even our shirts and badge have changed a little, but one thing is certain. I will be Rovers forever and there is no way, I'm getting chased out of our club by those who wish to do harm to it. Even if we do a Wimbledon and go non league next year or the year after or anuy year. I will be there in my blue and white halves forever.

Supporters must speak out and fight for their own beliefs, sometimes things get tough and sometimes you think their is no fight left in you. But Hey life is a wonderful thing, as was watching my three daughters enter this world which is full of controversy but also full of love. If we can bring life into this world i'm damn sure we can breath life back into Blackburn Rovers.

So Venkys aint doing a good Job, The Manager even worse of a Job, Jerome Anderson (Actually best not go there) but what none of them have is a Blue and White heart, and its that heart which will see supporters raise the flag for the club and march on victorious.

You can only change things you are not happy about, by acting on those concerns, Some people at Rovers chose to leave whilst others still there can't make a difference if they are not there.

Supporters are the same, We need to show Venkys that we aint going no-where and that club is chained around our necks, and we WILL fight for it.

What will happen is that I will continue to watch us and feel apathetic. If we win I will vomit blood over Kean's smile and another three points for Venkys FC

Don't let Abbey hear you say that. He'll call you a traitor!

But 'Venky's FC' is the perfect label for what was once our Rovers. It might look like the same club on the outside but inside Rovers have rotten away to nothing. I'm absolutely speechless. I really don't have the words for what's happened to this club. Kean's new contract is the last straw in a long line of bewildering decisions by our owners.

As for supporting another club, that's up to you. I tried before when I was younger but always came back to Rovers. However, when you find yourself in the situation you're in (and many others, including myself), how can you consider yourself a supporter? I'm at the point where I don't care win, lose or draw because I know this club is going to the dogs regardless.

Blackburn Rovers.

They are a team that my family have followed through many generations. They are more than a club to us. My wife cannot believe that even though I now live 4,000 miles away from my parents, all that our Skype conversations consist of is Rovers....Rovers.....Rovers.

Something struck me on the Wigan Preview thread. A poster pointed out that supporting Rovers always had a purity to it. We were a family owned club whose management allowed it to float above the scummy Premier League surface floor. It is no longer that way. We are now buried below excrement on the already scum soaked floor.

I still feel immense pride when looking at the badge, at Ewood and everything that the club used to represent. However, I feel no excitement about upcoming games and the only reason I still come to this board is purely for the reason that it is now a support group for the people who feel as bad as I do. I have no interest in the team that I now consider to be Venkys FC.

I still have no idea why Venkys bought the club, it makes no sense. No matter what anybody says, it makes no sense. It does make sense for them to take cash out of the club to fund other ventures though....

Anyway, the reasons for my feelings are obvious and I'm not going to repeat them and form a large post. The reason for my post is this:

What I want to do is stop supporting Rovers. I want to make my heart develop feelings for another club.

What will happen is that I will continue to watch us and feel apathetic. If we win I will vomit blood over Kean's smile and another three points for Venkys FC and if we lose it will just continue to feel like a hopeless reality.

I know that it isn't just me that feels like this, so what do we 'the lost fan' do?

I was with you until you said "I want to make my heart develop feelings for another club" and then your post lost all credibility I'm afraid. Rovers are in the blood and I'd never want to support another team, ever. In all honesty I couldn't even imagine myself supporting a different team. Since being old enough to understand football Rovers have consumed my life. People in my family know me for the love of my team. My honeymoon was spent watching Rovers. This is a difficult time for all fans. But Venky's won't be here forever - we will.

Cheesy I know, but a great poem to help people get through bad times. Keep the faith guys and gals!

If you can keep your head when all about you

Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,

But make allowance for their doubting too:

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,

Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,

Or being hated don’t give way to hating,

And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;

If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim,

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

And treat those two impostors just the same:

If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken

Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,

And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,

And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And never breathe a word about your loss:

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,

Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,

If all men count with you, but none too much:

If you can fill the unforgiving minute

With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,

And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

I fully understand your point.

What I mean't by that if I'd known how things would turn out, I wish I'd picked a different club from the start. I'll never be able to now. At the same time, would I give up all the memories? No chance.

I already feel like we are supporting a different team already though - Venkys FC.

Never forget.

They can take our TV revenue. They can take us back down to the bottom once again. They can take seats in the stadium. They can make all the decisions.

But they can't take the memories. They can't take the memorabilia or the tattoos on your skin.

And every time that they're in OUR stadium, never forget that they're sitting in the seats Uncle Jack built.

I'm sure your family is from the area right back until the beginning of time so I have no doubt that you can even come close to understanding how I feel..

BPF, you are clearly in a state of distress and have forgotten that your club picks you.

It's not your fault.

Keep the faith, my friend.

I'll continue to shout us on Jisty. It's in my blood. I'm just venting. It's a horrible situation.

Don't blame ya OP. If the rumours about Kean are true then this club has sunk to depths almost unheard of in football. To actually give a pay rise to one of the worst managers in PL history is utterly disgusting. Its either corruption, insanity or spite. Maybe some of the blame now needs to be shifted to the FA for not yet starting an investigation against our horrific owners.

It's the first one.

BPF. Keep your head. We're all hurting. 136 years and this is a bad time to say the least. We will come out the other side of this. Where we'll be and in what state is anyone's guess. Possibly in the worst state the club has ever been in.

But it'll still be Blackburn Rovers. We'll still play in Blue and White halves and at that point, no matter how bad it looks maybe we'll be able to put people in place who care. Who want to do things properly and legally. Maybe we could move up the divisions again, maybe even get back in the Premier League and start competing for that all important 10th place finish again.

At the moment we can't believe or trust the manager the owners or The Chairman (Chief Agent). They are too busy lining their own pockets I suspect.

One day all the good stuff will return. The family club. The sense of belonging and unity. All working together striving for the same thing; a successful football club. Please don't turn your back on the club just because they are taking us for a ride, as much as it hurts. That means they win but we are better than the lot of em. WE are Blackburn Rovers.

I really hope you are right Bob but it will probably come too late for me.

I'm really happy that I posted what I did. It really seemed to prompt people into telling me why the club is worth fighting for. I always knew it, but after so much crap, you need a little encouragement sometimes.

Cheers lads.
