[Archived] QATAR group bid for Rovers

Given neither us nor them expected Rovers to be in the relegation zone, with a good squad that can't win, watched by protesting fans and key people leaving the club. What should they do ?

  1. 1. Should Venky's stay for the long haul, or cut and run

    • Finish what they started. Follow through on their promise of Europe?

    • Accept any serious bid. Be glad their brand is now known in Europe and move on?

It is dead now.

Sickened. What have Venkys done? I can't stand to watch them continue killing the club, especially now that they have ruined our chance for a completely different future. I'm going to struggle to give any support or interest whilst Venkys, Kean, Anderson etc are still here. They will not be forgiven for this.

Time for any and all negative information to come out as I want to see Venkys brought down. The club needs to be purged of them.

This is worse than the worst possible nightmares.

Predictions-

zero spend on transfers in January

Rovers in administration within 18 months

There will be at least one horrific revelation in the coming weeks

Why on Earth would they not sell now, decent profit, everyone's a winner? Instad let the club fall around their ears?

While we watch another club inherit what could have been our's, while the family who wanted to sell us veto Balaji's attempts to spend money on us 3-1, let's not forget that its Balaji who is Kean's biggest supporter within the family.

So we'll probably carry on with him too. What an absolute farce.

Venkys risking huge backlash from fans. I for one will not br happy until

Steve Kean is sacked

A proven Premier League manager put in place

Substantial investmeny into backroom and playing staff... From their own money

All debts (a substantial amount) are paid, in full

A proper board is appointed and left to run the club

Listen to the fans

Make a television broadcast admiting they ###### up

Chances of just one of those being met is minimal, so it seems I will be angry for a while

I think any reconciliation between venkys and the fans must start with sacking Steve Kean. The next few games ahould determine this. Until he is sacked, or their is a step change in our on-the-pitch fortunes, I can't be anything else other than hostile to the owners.

Gutted that this dosn't seem to be happening. I cant for the life of me think why Venkys want to stay on where they are out of their depth and not wanted. There certainly is no money in staying at Rovers.

Almost as bad is that it seems to have given Phillipl another excuse to parade his preening, posturing ego.

That has to be the quickest minus point ever!

Do I win £5?

People saying it's time for things to get ugly, not sure I agree with that. Venky's are here to stay, have to accept that. And no point in trying to force out Venky's as now there is no alternative to them.

They are pointless owners. No money to spend due to Balaji being out voted by the rest of the family. No choice but to get dirty in my opinion.

Too much gone on behind the scenes for it not to get ugly now.

I am fuming about the club not being sold, if they cant give the club what it needs why the hell should they stand in the way of someone that can.

Well they better start to run the club properly if they intend to keep us, we need to change the infrastructure of the club, add quality players in Jan, remove the manager and his puppeteer, and stop being used as little child Balaji's new Golden brum brum.

I agree totally with that, if it means "league 1" which is possibility then so be it, get the FA involved even more than they already are

I don't think that in all my time of supporting Rovers I've ever felt this low. Even when we were relegated I always knew that we would come back up. Once it happens this season I'm not convinced.

It's clear that Kean is not going to be shown the door any time in the near future. So now I've resigned myself to the fact we are as good as relegated. They had a chance to put everything right but objected to it. Now we are the ones that have to suffer from their poor decisions. After today's news I can only see attendances dropping even more as ever more people will refuse to come to Ewood with the current owners at the helm.

Will be a long time before we see any of them at Ewood. They've just made themselves public enemy number 1.

All I've read is different rumours. I won't get optimistic or pessimistic and angry over this. The only fact I know is that Venky's are not for sale and they say they are in for the long run. I love reading this board, but since Venky's took over it has been extraordinary and spreading negativity among section of our supporters while other are being lambasted if they don't agree. Never have I seen our supporters so divided. The question is: Is it like this outside the messagebaord or are we just keyboard warriors on here ?
