PAFELL, on 15 November 2011 - 15:26 PM, said:Kamy has said on twitter that there is NO INVESTIGATION BY THE FA INTO ROVERS. This he has been told by the FA Who are happy how rovers go about their business.

So I've read.

Strange how they know that without investigating though.

Actually he said he had had word form the Premier League, he never said anything about the FA!

Maybe no need to investigate when No allegations have been made by anybody.

Exactly. So how can they be happy that the club is being run properly, if they haven't looked at it?

They might have no reason to investigate, but that's totally different.

'Jack got everything wrong 95-99',

Top at Xmas and a 6th place finish in Hodgson's first season was something to build on, it didn't happen, however was it Jack's fault?

My point is chris, you have been a big critic of Kean, yet we play 'ok' for a a few games (still get hardly any points by the way) and he deserves more time? THAT is short termism

It was Jacks fault, he should not have promoted Harford we ended up 20th.

He should have gotten a manager with more success in the big three leagues then hodgson who had only ever been with Inter Milan for a year I believe and didn't buy the players there just coached. We ended up 19th or 20th

He should have not hired Kidd. we got relegated and he still didn;t sack him.

I still want Kean out but I want to beat Wigan more, whats wrong in me not wanting to buy flowers before a huge game that needs a lot of positivity.

I hate to say this but I actually trust Kean will pick a team that will beat wigan.

thats all that matters, I still hate Kean as a person and I hate his interviews.

Also I don't get the fact I'm meant to protest against venkys because glen nkows something important I don't.

This Harford/Hodgson grudge you have is bizarre- yes we ended up at the bottom with Ray- but he was a good man, a club legend who failed, I can think of a few others who deserve your ire.

Kidd was the mistake, not Hodgson.

Harford may have been a good man (I don't know him personally) but that didn't help when I was a school boy watching my beloved club go from 1st to 20th in 18 months

The apathy shown by the majority of Rovers fans attending games at Ewood over the past 12 months has been nothing short of mind blowing.

The continued support of a so called manager with a win rate of less than 20% defies all belief.

Hand on heart my last shred of faith in Kean evaporated during the home game against Blackpool last season and his team had done nothing to change my mind since then.

It's often said that people get the politicians they deserve, perhaps this is also true of football fans and owners. The longer the majority sit on their hands the further into the mire we will sink.

The only thing worse than the feeling I get regarding the position we find ourselves in both on and off the field is that of nothing that the minority who can see through all the crap are apparently powerless to do anything about it.

The constant crap being peddled by "fans" who don't even attend games at Ewood in support of Kean and Venkys is also close to driving me crazy. I'm not talking about fans from other countries who cannot attend games on a regular basis but fans who live only a few hours away and still think they have the right to have a go at people who spend thousands every season in supporting the team because they won't follow the rest of the sheep in watching Rovers slip into the abyss.

Glen as always, keep up the stellar work.

Point taken about my saying FA and not premier league.

'fans'..

I support Rovers more than I hate Steve Kean. You seem to hate Kean/Venky's more than support the players on the pitch. If it matters to you, which one of us is a 'fan'?? Our opinions do not matter to Venky's so you have a simple option, support the team or not.

Would any of us like the police to come to our homes to investigate us. When no allegation has been made. NO.

If no allegations have been made against the club, then there is nothing the 'football' police can do. Even though there 'could' be things going on. Without any allegation being made by anybodythey won,'t investigate.

Was expecting more by this 3:15PM today, to be fair.

Oh well, atleast we know who has any right to say "VENKYS OUT FFS" now.

So because I didn't buy any flowers and think this method was ill thought-out, poorly timed, and unaffordable to some people, with the added capacity to make us look extremely stupid, I don't have the right to say what I think of Kean and Venkys?

Kean isn't the only one dividing the fans when you really start to analyse things, is he? Not solely aimed at you J*B as I know there are plenty of others who share your view.

Why do you keep picking my posts up Pafell? It's quite simple what I'm saying. If there has been no investigation, then they don't know whether things are above board, or not. They can't say that they are happy that the club is being run properly, if they haven't looked into anything. What they should say [and maybe they have, maybe Kamy has just misinterpretted this wrongly] is they have no reason to investigate BRFC.

For the record I've made no allegations, nor asked for an investigation into the rumours or anything else. Also we're really splitting hairs here, all about very little.

The way I see it is:

This is the newest protest. The protests have coverage on Sky, ITV, BBC, etc. The protest organisers put out statements to these media outlets saying the protesters are all protesting for the same thing, and that "thing" is <insert reason>.

This current protest is against Venky's. Therefore if you are against Venkys, dont believe they're doing a good job, etc, then you have to protest. If you dont protest, your leaving yourself open to the club, and the media saying that the protest was a poor turn out, and therefore not a lot of people are against Venkys.

Which is precisely why something like this was never going to work really, was it? Leaving aside any ethical arguments about whether the laying of flowers is in good taste etc, not everyone can afford to buy flowers, so you are automatically and immediately excluding large numbers of potential protestors. It naturally follows that by doing this you are giving Kean (and Venkys) ammunition for the 1% BS they have spouted after previous protests. I'm sorry, hats off to Glen and Simon for their passion, but this has been the least well thought out of all the things they have arranged so far. To attack those who haven't (or in this case can't) protest is simply wrong, and then we wonder why fans are turning on each other!!

Maybe instead of attacking the ones that are not buying flowers, the protest organisers should realize that it needs to be organized, and make sure people are with you before starting to promote it towards tv stations etc. It is you who are making a fool out of yourselves. Not the people who didnt buy flowers.

Your aware theres a massive woods behind the Riverside, with thousands upon thousands of flowers growing, right?

I know if i couldn't afford flowers, but still wanted to show how upset I was, I'd be picking them and placing them at the statue.

No-one's saying we need to go out and buy the most expensive bunch. You can usually pick up a bunch of flowers for about 3 or 4 quid in Asda. I think we need to go for quantity not necessarily quality - there are already lots of professional arrangements there. I don't think a few Asda type bunches would hurt, now.

Are there flowers growing in November? Anyway, that is quite difficult to do if you don't live or work in Blackburn, but you're missing the point.

You're missing the point too - 3 or 4 quid might not sound a lot but it actually is to plenty of people. The ability to protest shouldn't cost anything really!!

This goes both ways though obviously. Plenty of people on twitter etc who don't attend games having a go at those that do and aren't protesting.

I only responded to your post as you replied to mine. Thought that was one of the ideas of a messageboard. Friendly discussion on a messageboard. No other agenda.

Not splitting hairs, actually in many ways in a agreement.

My concern is people could be doing this flower protest based on a false rumour - for example prem investigation and club dying cos it.

Yes, there are. Unless someone has cut them all down in the past 60 minutes, just after the small bridge in between the Ronnie Clayton Stand and the Riverside, there are numerous flowers.

I'm not missing the point, I can see what your saying. I just think your wrong, and thats what your failing to grasp.

If you dont live/work in Blackburn, then yes, I can understand you not going to put flowers there. However, you also have to consider that Ewood Florists sell 1 Black, and 1 White rose for £1.50. They also deliver for free. Now if your working on minimum wage, unless your an apprentice, thats roughly 15 minutes wage. I think every single working person in the UK can spare £1.50.

Throughout these posts however, I've said what I would do. You've given me scenarios of being skint, and I've answered them. I'd pick some flowers, and put them at the statue. It would cost me a maximum of 90 minutes of my time, assuming I would be walking (because I'm skint) and picking flowers (because I'm skint).
