This goes both ways though obviously. Plenty of people on twitter etc who don't attend games having a go at those that do and aren't protesting.

There was even mention of a wall of shame for those who bury their heads. Just because people are not involved in protests, does not mean they do not share the same cconcerns.

When I read on twitter about a wall of shame. I was disgusted.

thats a problem, it's now a case that if you don't protest, Kean applies you as a Pro Kean fan, which is sickening but true to his character.

I read that but I would like to think we have misinterpreted the aim of it and it isn't a wall of shame of fans, more a wall of shame of people who have got us in the situation for the benefit of fans who may have 'buried their heads'

Yes, there are. Unless someone has cut them all down in the past 60 minutes, just after the small bridge in between the Ronnie Clayton Stand and the Riverside, there are numerous flowers.

I'm not missing the point, I can see what your saying. I just think your wrong, and thats what your failing to grasp.

If you dont live/work in Blackburn, then yes, I can understand you not going to put flowers there. However, you also have to consider that Ewood Florists sell 1 Black, and 1 White rose for £1.50. They also deliver for free. Now if your working on minimum wage, unless your an apprentice, thats roughly 15 minutes wage. I think every single working person in the UK can spare £1.50.

Throughout these posts however, I've said what I would do. You've given me scenarios of being skint, and I've answered them. I'd pick some flowers, and put them at the statue. It would cost me a maximum of 90 minutes of my time, assuming I would be walking (because I'm skint) and picking flowers (because I'm skint).

Although I take your point -it doesn't matter - affordability is always relative, and there is also presumably a limit to the number of wild flowers growing on the riverside (not sure that this would be much of a 'protest' either but that's by-the-by really I suppose). There are lots of reasons why this flowers thing was likely to be a damp squib again. If you really wanted a protest thatwould show Venkys and Kean that the majority wanted them out, it should have been more strategically planned to include as many people as possible. I still don't think we'll achieve our aim by organised protest, to be honest. That will happen with a bad defeat and spontaneous vitriol, possibly if we lose on Saturday. I'll be travelling down from Glasgow as usual with my family hoping that this doesn't happen. In other words, that we have won. Let's be honest, the vast majority of Rovers fans only really care about what's happening on the pitch, rightly or wrongly.

Taking the crap out of you?

The Telegraph are doing colonics?

I'm sick to death of the media. I was listening to the Guardian podcast and they were saying that it was TERRIBLE behavior from Rovers fans because Kean had been GIVEN HARDLY ANY TIME!!!

I was nearly shouting in response....despite being on the subway at the time.

PAFELL, on 15 November 2011 - 15:26 PM, said:Kamy has said on twitter that there is NO INVESTIGATION BY THE FA INTO ROVERS. This he has been told by the FA Who are happy how rovers go about their business.

So I've read.

Strange how they know that without investigating though.

Actually he said he had had word from the Premier League, he never said anything about the FA!

Anyone give a s*** about what the Telegraph says? Anyone?..... nope, thought not.

The Daily Telegraph have been generally very supportive of the fans, and Henry Winter in particular has championed the cause. He's replied to a number of tweets on the subject, he's covered the issue on various media programmes, and of course, run quality stories in the paper.

We can't point to the paper as a shining light when they say one thing then totally rubbish it when it's saying something that doesn't go with the perceived party line.

Unfortunately someone predicted there could be a media negative spin on this protest and this could be the first hint of it. Whilst I don't support this particular protest, I didn't think it would lead to one of the supporters biggest supporters (apologies for that expression) turning - I just thought they'd ignore it.

I hope Glen can reestablish a positive relationship with the Telegraph asap.

It's us, Hawkiz, us.

Just because you can switch off the TV, radio, computer and no-one would even know you were a fan of Rovers doesn't make you less of one, does it?

There are people who live and work in and around Blackburn who are trying to do something. You are just helping the media, who clearly monitor this site, reinforce their thoughts about us.

But don't worry. After this season, they won't be talking about us any more.

Amazingly taken off topic, Please continue to take your flowers down to Ewood the response has been good, and one particular florist was due to drop a day load of orders off at 17.30,

The feedback from the florists is their phones have not stopped all day from supporters worldwide, and with SKY BBC AND ITV all going to cover it in the next few days, its a visual message that as supporters we ARE concerned.

Thank You to everyone who has taken to part to date and all those who are gonna lay flowers as the week goes on

The suggestion by some on here seems to be that the flowers project is already a failure, as were all the previous protests. But I cant help but keep going back over two questions: 1. Why did someone at the club want to censor the protests at the last home match? 2. Why do we now apparently have a threat of prosecution to tweeters putting something out there that someone at the club doesnt like? That would suggest to me that someone is rattled and so the protests, however derided due to their lack of numbers', have had some little effect.

If we disregard all the rumours weve heard, the facts about our perilous position at the bottom of the league, the horrendous organisation of our clubs infrastructure, the publically lodged info. about the mortgages, the board of directors continuous support of an unremittingly bad manager and, last but not least, the refusal of a lucrative offer to sell all still make me feel desperately that we need this lot out.

And that is why for me, a gimmick like the flowers is still worth participating in.

The last two paragraphs sum the whole stinking mess up for me. Well said my friend!

Just got back from Ewood Park after spending a good half hour there with my Brother, Very emotional right now, and I dare anyone to go to Ewood Park and stand their in front of Jack and not share that emotion.

I looked around in the Dark and could feel the past, the goals, the joy, the memories..... I looked down at the beautiful flowers which have been paid for from all over the world, and looked up at Jack and just felt numb.

How its been allowed for our club to be destroyed, in the space of 12 months is criminal....

I knew at that very moment especially as another Rovers supporter Mullenvoid came over to lay his flowers that what we have all been trying to do, is for the right reasons, and I don't care what lengths I have to go to, I will not let them finish Jacks Legacy of.

I'm proud of every single supporter who has been to the memorial today, and showed their loyalty to the greatest supporter that this club has ever had, He put his hard earned cash into rovers and asked for nothing in return, He gave us the Blackburn Rovers which we was so proud to be part of, and now Venkys have done their best in 12 months to destroy his dream.

I refuse to give up, and I like many others will continue the fight to make sure his efforts were not in vein

Glen Mullan, the most pointless protest I have ever heard, get a grip you moron, it's 'fans' like you that are making this club a laughing stock. What do you hope to achieve by doing this? Get your sour chops on Granada reports again? I'm sick of seeing you bumbling your way through interviews, trying to string a coherent sentence together, your money would be better spent on some English lessons, not wreaths.
