Which part of this in bold is correct. Your confirmation that there were as many flowers there as of last night - or overnight 30% have been removed? If 30% have been removed overnight, how can there be as many as what was there last night.

Because people have been putting flowers down today and have replenished the missing flowers

Some people are hiding behind not being 'able' to protest, if it’s because of a job, I'm afraid thats complete and utter nonsense IMO. Geographical location or disability is completely different.

If people don't want to protest then say so, but don't hide behind you a job or similar, that doesn't wash in my book.

Absolute garbage.

There are many reasons why people are unable to participate in protests.

Job is a good enough reason. Especially in todays climate. Time off work etc, bringing income in to keep a roof over ones head etc are also more important.

Families looking after kids etc etc - not able to march - concerned about getting their kids caught up in protests.

This year alone protests in this country on all sorts of issues have raised concerns that protests can get nasty - so people like to avoid them.

Family more important than a football club.

As you mention location and disability are good reasons.

Age is another.

The list is endless.

You also forget that less than 1% of rovers supporters visit this site. The majority of the supporters are not aware of the concerns people have about the club. They have not been subject to gossip and alledged - true or not - goings on at the club. All they know is the results and how the team played on match day.

What is the highest number of people been on this site at one time - 1000 maybe. I would be very surprised if more than 1000 rovers supporters visit this site. Many of those live either outside of the blackburn area or even in the country. So lets say 800 supporters from the blackburn area. 800 out of say 15 to 16 thousand who may not come onto this site and therefore not aware of the gossip, true or otherwise, that goes around here.

I seriously can't understand how people still can want Kean out, but are defending Venkys.

If a dog takes a crap on your lawn, do you yell at the dog or the owner of the dog?

Steve kean is a bad manager, but so far it looks like his intentions are right, and he's trying to make this club better. Venkys on the other hand has not shown any sign of trying to make this club better. They have shown this by hiring Kean on permanent basis, getting rid of senior management, not holding their promises in funding, and the rumors on huge loans.

When Venkys took over i was quite happy with their strategy. We were gonna build brick by brick and get better in time, not some city madness purchase policy, and i genuinly believed rovers would keep its identity. It is very common in a takeover that the manager/board gets replaced,

The only problem is that they have hired a board with no authority, they can't make any decisions without getting an "ok" from india.

So stop fooling yourself. If you are against KEAN, you are AGAINST VENKYS. its really that simple.

Kean's made Venkys all these false promises, made himself out to be someone they can trust, he lies to them about performances and has purposely formed a false friendship with them to keep himself in a job.

This dog is smarter then the owners.

Is there any danger of club employees removing flowers to keep the overall number low and perpetuate the idea that it's still a minority?

This is the fear, Not sure who moved them as Ewood gates locked overnight  Club said it was not them, Mmmm so I won't point the finger but someone must be good at climbing fences and taking flowers and disposing of them

Still, putting pressure on kean means putting pressure on kean.

Putting pressure on venkys, means putting pressure on venkys, kean, communication, everything.

When a CEO in a company has very poor results, it usually means he has done a very poor job, but it also shows that the board has done an even worse job for hiring him in the first place and sticking with him.

it is very strange to support venkys and be against kean even if he has lured them with false promises. We should expect alot more from the owners of one of the largest companies in india to trust kean and J Anderson blindly

Nonsense, I live in Blackburn and I know that everyone is talking about the Venkys or Steve Kean! You go into a pub and the typical ice breaker between groups is, 'so what do you think about rovers' or something similar. You can't tell me that just because people don't come on here they don't know whats going on? Word of mouth for a start is enough.

A large percentage of fans that go to ewood want Kean and Venkys out, I have spoken to very few who want him.

I have also spoken to a lot of people who scoff at the protests for fear that they will look daft. One of my good friends from work shares an opinion that he wants Kean and Venkys out, yet he called me a loser for marching at the Arsenal game. He is scared of peoples opinions of him if he goes.

Many people cannot attend marches for whatever reason, Gav talks rubbish when he says work isn't a good excuse, I actually hire out a car park near the game so I can't get away until about 2:50 or so.

There are valid excuses for not attending, and then there are a vast number of people who imo are worried about other peoples views on protesters.

That is fair enough, bound to be gossip in pubs about clubs situation.

Fear of what others think about them protesting was a reason that I had not thought about. Might not be everybody elses reason, but those also have a right to their choice. Does not make them less of a fan than others. Basically that is what I am getting at.

Hate is much more powerful the dislike (I think Hitler said that haha)

but it's ture, I dislike Venkys but I hate Kean.

when the protests move from Kean to Venkys I don't connect as much, I still have some hope in them.

It's mainly because Kean is a lying untrustwortthy idiot scum and IMO the main problem, where as I consider Venkys stupid, naive and pitiful morons.

They deserve what they get to some extent but I don;t hate them, like I hate Kean.

Even if Kean is successful (unlikely) I will never like him but it doesn't matter if we are winning, just won;t watch his interviews or read the LET.

Still go back to the fact Kean is picking a good team lately so sure he has enough ammo to beat Wigan.

beating wigan is so important, more important then anything at this moment to me.

If there is only ONE bunch of flowers there, then the question must be why ?

Why is it that someone feels so strongly about Our club they have to do this ?

BRFC must ask what have we done to upset our fans?

When will one person from BRFC work this out ?

Just bizarre, PR is so non existent from BRFC

I think it's definitely a reason. It's amazing, the number of people that don't want to go because they think they'l get laughed or sneered at for attending what is IMO a very worthy cause.

If only we could convince every rovers fan who doesn't want Kean or Venkys (who I believe are most to blame) at the club to partake in an organised, safe protest (as everyone one of them has been) then there would be thousands of people there. Unfortunately many people hide behind the awful excuse 'it will affect the players.' The players are bloody fine, they know our gripe isn't with them.

Glen is trying everything in his power to get the general feeling across and he's fighting a losing battle because people are more than happy to either hide behind their keyboards or inside their locals.

How long do we wait and do nothing? Until we're relegated? Until the club no longer exists?

Voices need to be heard, Venkys need to know how we feel! I urge anyone who can make the protests to attend. Goodness knows if we could get a few thousand marching down Livesey Branch Road, peacefully, but as a united front, it could make all the difference.

I still stand by the fact that a mass boycott would be an excellent way of getting our message across. People seem to be dead against that idea for some reason

All that need be respected is a supporters right to protest or not to protest. Whilst a high level of apathy is dangerous, the one guaranteed way of not gaining any mindshare is to start giving people who aren't currently protesting a load of stick. It will only turn them away.

Maintain an open and inclusive invitation to join and the numbers will swell if they believe in the cause.

I for one, am not terribly convinced by the flowers as an idea but supported the flyover and stayed behind for a while after Spurs (with some plucky fans from Norway with a banner no less).

However, I am of the view that a tactical pause might be in order so as to not lose any more momentum. Try and get a result at Wigan without the possibility that Kean et al can use it as an excuse. If, as I expect, he winds up with some form of improved contract, that's the time for the next protest in my view. It would be a slap in the face for every single fan.

Good post. For me it is very frustrating to see people so angry at the way Blackburn is being treated, and to then do nothing about it but sit at the ground, see us lose, walk out, go to the pub and then complain like mad. It doesn't get us anywhere.

We are all Blackburn supporters, and we are all frustrated, but we need to find a way of being united together against what is happening at the club. There are no two ways about it, Venkys are ripping this club in two.

I think to move forward in this, we all have to agree on a way of getting our message across, problem is people aren't willing to help because they keep burying their heads in the sand waiting for Venkys to do something, it isn't going to happen!

I totally agree with this - I think this is a point I tried to make a while back. There are going to be groups of people out there who either don't read this site or simply don't bother with the Internet at all.

Law of diminishing returns.

A suggestion is that a collection of material is posted somewhere (wordpress? somewhere like that) and a flyer created with a) basic facts surrounding the situation and B) weblink(s)

They can be handed out at the games, thus spreading the message to those not aware of anything other than what's in their faces.

It's up to them at that point if they choose to look at the information.

Also reckon this needs to be akin to a charity type situation, prominent locals/professionals and players needed to add their support - but will they?

Getting a little dispirited with it all now, but then external factors in my life are adding to my issues, not really sure where it all goes from here.

But as people have said on here previously, today's news is tomorrows chips wrapper, so some sort of archive of material might be useful?

You've just illustrated perfectly why they are such poor owners. If they are so easily fooled it begs the question as if they are really up to the job. Personally, I think you give Kean too much credit. Venky's are the owners and the employers. Kean is merely an employee, albeit a very powerful one. I suspect Kean will stay because the owners might well have grasped the point that no experienced manager is likely to want to come and work for them, particularly as they don't appear to be willing to invest their own money in the club at the moment.

Ok then, for you and Jimmy, to make my point clear:

"Anyone who doesn't protest, because they're scared of losing their job if found to be protesting, is hiding behind their job"

Its not illegal to protest, ask the 1million who protested against the Iraq war if you dont believe me.

Hope thats clears things up ;)

If you can't protest because of illness, disability, working Saturdays, etc etc, youre not hiding behind your job

How about burning effigys of kean and the venkys. That's how things are done in that part of the world, who's to say it won't work in this situation.

I am also of the opinion that fans shouldnt attend matches until some decision is made by venkys but then we wouldn't be able to support the team. Rock and a hard place
