sorry to be a party pooper I just can't see any point in doing anything before a unbelieveably winnable Wigan game.

The hard work needs to go in after that game.

If we lose I'll splash some cash, but what will doing anything this week achieve if we win, which we will?

No you wont cos in your mind it will be another winnable game the week after, and the one after that etc.

The Wigan game is a different matter all together. If we lose that, then a protest will be far more justified.

Why - you think an away derby game, where two teams propping up the PL table and with relegation meaning nothing short of a catastrophe, should be an easy win? What if we "play well" again but lose, would you criticise any protests then - and if not, why not?

It may turn out to be easy, but to assume that, says a lot.

I expect that I will get a fair smattering of -1s, but I think this particular protest is in very bad taste.

Despite what Shankly said, football isn't more important than life or death, and trying to evoke something so closely linked to bereavement seems to trivialise it.

Bloody Hell Bill! For generations whenever BRFC or PNE are relegated they cart a bloody coffin through Bamber Bridge!

Tell you what, you give some alternative ways to protest Bill. .....They need to be effective mind.

My view of this game (wrong thread I know) both teams will get relegated whatever the result...Wigan because they are very poor and BRFC because of Venkys continued support of Kean ..

you can pretend thats true, but the reality is Wigan are the lowest of the low.

To lose to them will be unforgivable.

If I thought protesting or spending money on flowers would make a difference I would.

The reason the numbers were low at the last protest is because it was hard to protest when Kean picking the best team possible and they are playing well.

It was so easy when we had Salgado ###### up and Petrovic looking like a clown.

but the difference is I'm confident we will win this one.

reults ewill get Kean the sack his days are numbered unless he completely turns it around in the next 6 games.

Easy? In comparison to games against Spurs and Chelsea its far more winnable. No game is a guaranteed win but to protest when we play well and lose against Spurs/Chelsea wasn't a good move in my opinion. We need neutrals on our side. To protest when we lose those types of games will make people sympathise more with Steve Kean if anything. You cant blame Kean for losing games against Chelsea, thats the point.

Protesting when we lose to the sides around us in the table, well thats a different matter entirely.

your response is whats worrying me, I'm wondering if a line is being crossed between emotional fantasy and realism.

the timing is not good, the protests at Chelsea were ineffective.

how is protesting before a game we are likely to win going to help?

You think it's going to get Kean out or make Venkys leave?

I don't. the Kean contract stuff was not even true.

I'm all about being smart and knowing the right time to protest but not doing everything based on just emotions.

Kean will just ###### on you as a minority after the Wigan result.

The problem with this stance, Chris, is that people protesting before the Wigan game will be reviled by the hand-sitters.

As you rightly point out, this is a game we could and should win. Everyone needs to get behind the team and give them the best chance of a result, people will say. Ignoring the bigger picture, they will probably be right.

So which is it? Protest before games we likely won't win (although we did beat Arsenal following a protest) or protest before matches we can win?

Or don't protest at all.

In which case, please suggest to Glen another option, I'm sure he'd be delighted to hear it.

Just to reiterate, Venkys will be here within next 48 hours, They have a TV interview scheduled here in the UK With ITV,

We need these flowers laying, Please don't just sit back and hope others do it, it does not have to be a massive bunch or an expensive bunch, you can even go pick them out of the garden.

We don't know when they will come again, but the press is going to record what the flowers is all about and we will give our side of the story, Please don not let each other down. I have seen the poll on the QATARIS thread and over 500 fans have asked for a change of ownership, so thats 500 plus people who should be doing their level best to get flowers laid at Ewood. In addition there is people on Twitter and Facebook and other supporter sites doing the same.

If anyone is a member of another site please post on there and spread the word.

If people post on LET ect please also post on there, tweet it out and retweet it, we need word spreading, we need volume and before Venkys come to Ewood later in week.

We have a big match on Saturday, but buyers aint gonna be hanging around long, we can't afford to wait until the weekend or the week after.

This is it now last chance saloon for thousands to show they want a better Blackburn Rovers, If supporters fail to do so this time then they have signed Rovers fate. I can do no-more if supporters can't help themselves, Now is the time, People keep saying that was ineffective, well things will always be ineffective if you don't take part....

Do not leave this to others, take it upon yourself to make a difference, One florist who will deliver free of charge is already on this thread, no-one needs to go to Ewood if people will deliver. This is one thing all supporters can take part in, and stand up to be counted.

Many can already hold their heads firmly high as they have been trying for weeks to make a difference, and this same set of supporters will once again dig deep for one last fight, please all unite and do the same.

There is no second chances, as our fate is as good as sealed if supporters dnt stand up to be counted now, I'm not asking you, I'm begging you, as is every other supporter who is going to take part.

Do your bit and now is the time

For anybody who wishes to take part not in the local area:

Ewood Florists is aware whats happening and is taken orders, as are other florist in Blackburn

They're specifically holding back black and white flowers for us. They've knocked off delivery charges for today and tomorrow, so you wont be paying delivery and they'll all be delivered to the Jack Walker statue.

They accept all credit and debit cards.

Their telephone number is 01254 53393.

Chris why are you banging on about Kean? The issue is no longer Kean out it's moved on to Venkeys out.... which imo it always should have been!

To the ones disagreeing with this it seems quite simple to me.

If you want Venkys to sell to the Qataris then lay flowers.

If you are happy with Venkys continuing to own and run the club then don't lay flowers.

Make your choice now and realise that you will have to live with that choice.

I didn't say don't buy flowers, if its true Venkys are in the area then maybe it will work.

I'm just saying I'm not doing anything before the wigan game because I think we will win and this might backfire.

Is there anything a bit cheaper going? I'm unimaginably poor. Also, as I have only just got home, and i doubt that the florist is still open, would calling them tomorrow be too late, or would it be ok? I really want to get involved in this, just thinking of the logistics. Is there anywhere I can do it online?
