sorry chris, rovers winning on saturday or not wont make one jot of difference in my opinion of them, if they took all the homeless children in the world under their wing, i still wouldnt be moved on my opinion of them, as far as im concerned they are a lost cause and there is no way back for me and many supporters to get behind them.

It wnt be removed, What we mean by Anti Venkys messages which are removed is, Foul Language and people leaving huge banners

Ah right, didn't want him wasting £50 if they were just going to bin them.

What happens if say claret and blue flowers turn up with pro-venkys messages for example?

Then it'll be nice to know that the good people of Burnley are investing in Blackburn businesses. In all fairness, claret and blue flowers might be an anti venkys message in itself.... I wouldn't worry too much about any messages with them, Burnley fans can't tie their own shoe laces, let alone write a legible message.

Easy? In comparison to games against Spurs and Chelsea its far more winnable. No game is a guaranteed win but to protest when we play well and lose against Spurs/Chelsea wasn't a good move in my opinion. We need neutrals on our side. To protest when we lose those types of games will make people sympathise more with Steve Kean if anything. You cant blame Kean for losing games against Chelsea, thats the point.

Protesting when we lose to the sides around us in the table, well thats a different matter entirely.

I totally get your point, but yet, the most vocal protest to date, was during the Man City home game, where we were expected to lose.

You can't in my opinion, select games in advance, where you expect the crowd to be the most anti Kean. There's no way of knowing. At the end of the day, if you're not happy with things you say so at any opportunity.

venkys wont even understand the significance of it cos they're clueless and they would be contributing to the amount of flowers on show - and the numbers is the key, so more fool them

They have florists there too I believe....

Maybe its just the way my mind works, I hope the flower stunt is a success, good luck.

This has the capacity to backfire spectacularly, being just a day after Remembrance Sunday, when flowers were laid at Cenotaphs the length and breadth of the country in honour of our war dead.

Poor choice of protest, bad timing. Mischievous press could spin it against the fans.

God almighty! Always a reason not to do anything.

Don't be daft. I bet millions still played modern warfare yesterday after just being released, I'm sure team death match was being played through the minutes silence. Didn't see anything in the press about that. Let the press spin all they want. Well done to all going the distance with this. Cant stand what brfc has become.

Bloody Hell Bill! For generations whenever BRFC or PNE are relegated they cart a bloody coffin through Bamber Bridge!

Tell you what, you give some alternative ways to protest Bill. .....They need to be effective mind.

I'm afraid there's a world of difference between a darkly humourous tradition and mimicking something that honours the departed.

Have we had just two floral tributes in the recent past? Jack and Ronnie? And now this?!

Sorry, it might not toe the party line, but imho, this is not a good idea in any sense. I'd be disappointed with any club that had a protest along these lines. For Rovers, I'm dismayed.

I expect that I will get a fair smattering of -1s, but I think this particular protest is in very bad taste.

Despite what Shankly said, football isn't more important than life or death, and trying to evoke something so closely linked to bereavement seems to trivialise it.

Sorry but I agree with these 2 posts.

I can understand the banners, planes etc.. but this protest doesn't sit right with me either.

Whilst I have understood the protest marches / plane etc, I have not agreed with them for a whole host of reasons which is best I don't go into because thats in the past. I find this latest 'protest' absolutely appalling. The club is not 'dead'. This seems to be trivialising bereavement. Something that shouldn't be trivialised. Bereavement is a very real feeling when you have lost something / someone. Do you really want to give the impression that our club is dead. Get behind the club, get behind the team. We have huge games coming up and the fans need to play their part! Absolute travesty this is happening 4 days before our biggest match of the season and to be quite honest it makes me feel like I shouldn't go through fear of intimidation because I don't take action.

Don't worry about it Jimmy, you will get some criticism but for me you've expressed your opinion with points to back it up and that shouldn't be attacked.

Myself I'm split on it, I can see how it could be viewed as distasteful but also think it to be a relatively imaginative idea which will look quite the spectacle although personally don't see how it can help the cause as Kamy says the qataris have now moved on.

I find it more appalling that you knock everything you are not involved in, without offering alternatives!!

Supporters with blind faith are praying for a miracle, but will you hold your hands up when things really do get bad? I guess you will be ducking for cover and throwing a hissy fit as per usual. And TBH I didnt expect much different from you.

Yes agree it is imaginative but I just find the whole thing very distasteful. Bereavement shouldn't be trivialised. Not like we've gone into liquidation is it. Going to stop worrying now and say what I want. Obviously in a constructive way ;)

But Nicko on Twitter is saying they haven't.

I don't believe for one minute that a billionaire wouldn't want to force a sale.

If they don't buy us they didn't want us in the first place, let's face it.
