This goes so much deeper than the winning or losing of one game.

yeah thats what them idiots at United thought when they started FC United, while all the netruels that don't care about politics watched Man U win the Champions League, results matter.

It's not like our spending under Venkys has been wild that we arew left with 100 million debt.

The club is not dead, infact, Kean is the reason I dislike the Venkys, I think Kean has them fooled, he has formed an intentional false friendship.

For me it all comes down to results, and Wigan is our biggest game of the season and has all my focus, not the Venkys.

There is no disrespect intended though Jimmy and I presume what Glen and co want to do is strike hard with a poignant, symbolic message hence them coming up with the idea.

I see the sense in it as I thought the blue am white coffin would have been a striking visual image at the protest marches.

Yes agree it is imaginative but I just find the whole thing very distasteful. Bereavement shouldn't be trivialised. Not like we've gone into liquidation is it. Going to stop worrying now and say what I want. Obviously in a constructive way ;)

Hey... great idea. Just like England we could have black armbands with the red rose embroidered on. Hardly make people stop wearing them could they.

Is it distasteful? If it is, im positive that it wasnt meant to be, merely to convey the feeling that, apparently, a lot of Rovers fans feel, that our club, the club we knew and loved, is dead.

Why do peaople have to personalise everything?

If people have an idea, any idea, to show Venkys and the world that A)Kean needs to go, B)They need to go and C)Anderson needs shooting, then lets hear them guys.

Its easy to blame folk like Glen for trying to be imaginative and creative to show fan feeling but I dont see all you naysayers coming up with ideas or even getting off your backsides, other than to applaud Steve Kean every saturday.

Wheres your spark peeps!

Either way, distateful or not, its happening now.

I find it more appalling that you knock everything you are not involved in, without offering alternatives!!

Supporters with blind faith are praying for a miracle, but will you hold your hands up when things really do get bad? I guess you will be ducking for cover and throwing a hissy fit as per usual. And TBH I didnt expect much different from you.

I have applauded the efforts you and Simon have made. I just don't agree it's the right thing to be doing. I have reasons for that as you have for your thing. I take things as they come. And if things go the way you keep hinting at (I don't know what it is your hinting at..) so how will i know when to hold my hands up? I love our club as do you and for as long as there is a Blackburn Rovers playing week in week out, I will be there through it all. Come what may. All I know is that according to you and a few others know something. I'm not getting hung up over not knowing, I'm supporting the club and team in the way I want to.

It's appalling that I merely don't agree with you. I cannot understand what's so bad about having a different opinion to you. Just because you "know" things that I don't, doesn't make my or other opinions any less valid.

A miracle to prevent what exactly? Our relegation? Do you actually think that this stunt will help us achieve this?

The protesting seems to have taken a sharp change of direction and I wonder if you're ultimately trying to achieve.

I support what Glen and Simon are trying to achieve, and they are trying hard to get all Rovers fans to see the light. Not sure if laying flowers at Uncle Jack's statue will be noticed by Venky's though, and lets face it, whoever is at Ewood to greet them in 48 hours will no doubt just tell them that they are meant for a tribute to Jack. I highly doubt Venky's would take much notice of it.

Its a creative idea so i've got to hand it to Glen and Simon for repeatedly coming up with stuff, but I feel that the plane and the chants at the Man City game have been the clearest messages from the fans so far. Venky's where not there to see either. Until they come to a game where a mass of Rovers fans can give them pelters I don't think we will make any progress in chasing them off.

If Rovers are losing at Wigan on Sasturday then i'd imagine we will be hearing chants like we had against City, and like it did with Paul Ince i'd hope that an defeat to Wigan will see the end of Kean at least. If not then it really will get ugly.

We know your stance, its been pro kean and pro Venkys throughout, keep clinging on with your fingertips and leave the rest of us to get on with what we feel is the right thing to do.

If you have an alternative apart from sitting by and letting what will be will be then please do offer this alternative, If not agree to disagree, as I have far more important things to worry about than spending valuable time talking to individuals who wish to put the boot in at every opportunity.

The Kean and Venkys lovers are in a minority, Some of the ones who want Kean and Venkys out won't protest , But i'm still waiting for someone to come up with a plausable alternative.

I'm the type of person who goes and does my shopping in person at Asda, Not sit back and wait for them to bring it to me

And what the hell are you doing to make a difference then? Fans like Glen and Simon should be being applauded by every Blackburn fan, simply for the fact that they are standing up and showing they care. You continue hiding from the tragic mess that your club has become if you like, but if you're not willing to stand up and give any better ideas, dont knock those who actually want to make a difference.

Don't be daft. I bet millions still played modern warfare yesterday after just being released, I'm sure team death match was being played through the minutes silence. Didn't see anything in the press about that. Let the press spin all they want. Well done to all going the distance with this. Cant stand what brfc has become.

Very, very naive

I've already had to explain to you that I'm not 'pro Kean' and I certainly don't consider myself 'pro Venkys'.

I try to take everything with a pinch of salt and don't just jump on the panic bandwagon every time I see an unsubstantiated rumour. A lot of the stuff that's been said against Venkys over the past year has been based on that - rumour - which far too many people will happily lap up. In my opinion they've made plenty of errors and there are things that need fixing fast. I would have liked this reported takeover attempt to have gone through, however, I don't think that we are inevitably going to be doomed if we stay with our current owners. I don't know if this put me in the 'pro Venkys' camp.

As for 'alternatives,' I don't know what to suggest. I'm not sure that protesting will achieve a lot really - after all Kean is still manager. Do you not think the protests are lacking a coherent goal, moving away from 'Kean Out' towards focussing more on the owners?

Those who think this latest attempt is in bad taste or bad timing, its time to rethink your position and think what you really want for the club. In the last 12 months IMO the Venkys have done nothing to improve the club, yet some people still believe their everyword & seem to want to follow Kean into the abyss. Once we are relegated (and if the current regime stays at Ewood we will be) we will be down in the lower leagues for years - and I doubt we would ever recover.

If the media reports are to be believed then only on of the 4 co-owners blocked the takeover bid & this one person must now be held responsible for our ultimate demise. He may have had the best of intentions but they have not come to fruition. The Venkys see us as their "baby", yet if that is really the case surely we should have been removed from their care by the authorities as they have repeatedly shown themselves as inadequate parents/guardians.

Jack would be distraught to see the club he resurected in our current state and fans arguing with each other.

Regardless of whether you agree with the laying of flowers or not at least Glen,Simon & co are trying to do something.

As has been asked before they are open to all suggestions, but those who oppose this all fail to come up with an alternative course of action.

I applaud all those have tried (and continue to try) to do something to rescue our current predicament. :tu:

Whilst I have understood the protest marches / plane etc, I have not agreed with them for a whole host of reasons which is best I don't go into because thats in the past. I find this latest 'protest' absolutely appalling. The club is not 'dead'. This seems to be trivialising bereavement. Something that shouldn't be trivialised. Bereavement is a very real feeling when you have lost something / someone. Do you really want to give the impression that our club is dead. Get behind the club, get behind the team. We have huge games coming up and the fans need to play their part! Absolute travesty this is happening 4 days before our biggest match of the season and to be quite honest it makes me feel like I shouldn't go through fear of intimidation because I don't take action.

Remember you choose urself how you want to express yourself through flowers. If you want to show your love to the club you can put down red roses. if you want to express grief you can put down some marigold. The most important thing is that we show that we are many, and we all have feelings for the club, some different feelings maybe, but still we stand unite

I can't argue with that, but still reserve the right to disagree with this particular tactic. If this goes wrong we won't get another chance to successfully protest, other than a spontaneous venting of feelings after a bad result, which needs no planning. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but it seems that on this message board if you have an opinion that differs from the majority, even if you share the same overall objective, you get jumped on and/or become demonised.

I assume you will only protest once we have gone into liquidation?

It might be a bit late then.

For as long as there is breath in my body I will not protest. I'm not getting myself hung up over all these rumours about what people allegedly know. There is a lot more to life than Rovers, well least there is for me.
