For as long as there is breath in my body I will not protest. I'm not getting myself hung up over all these rumours about what people allegedly know. There is a lot more to life than Rovers, well least there is for me.

Well more fool you.

Some of what is said is exactly that, rumour. Sadly some of it isn't, but some are afraid to release information (that is there) for the moment due to the consequences that it may bring to them as individuals, or to the club.

Venkys are nothing but bad news for BRFC.

Even writing this I have an uneasy feeling as if I'm saying too much. It makes me realize how people like Glen must feel.

Glen I think while you have been doing some excellent stuff in terms of organising other protest's, this on the back of the plane stunt will have got more fans back up more than ever. A lot of people I know who don't post on this forum are disgusted in this form of protest, you are helping creating a divide between Rovers fans which at the end of the day is not what your intention should be. People will be accusing you of hogging the lime light and doing it for attention. I don't think that is the case given the amount of care you have shown for the club. This is not a personal go at yourself, but a considered view from other supporters and how you might be coming across.

You are asking what the alternative is, then hold a supporters rally, but a positive one. Something to show that we are all together and the club will not die unless they get rid of us. At this time of the season it is time to bring the supporters together, therefore do a "blue and white march" in which people dress in blue and white, hats, scarfs, wigs anything really and sing pro Rovers songs. This could be done at the Wigan game, from the middle of town to ground. Imagine 1000 or so Rovers fans marching on mass to game which would than filter into the ground and will filter back to the players but you can make your poiint in the press that we are all still against Kean and Venky's. At this time it is important we get points, Kean is here to stay and so are Venky's. (Which is a farce in my opinion) This is not me burying my head in the sand but looking at a way as Rovers fans we can help keep our club in the Premier League. With Kean in charge and all the negativity around the place then we have no chance. Given that Kean is not leaving, no matter what we do then lets change the only other variable and get all the fans behind the team.

Its a tough one. Whilst I dont agree with any protests that are during the game, Glen and Co HAVE tried to be inclusive for example by holding the supporters meeting and asking for ideas. He's hardly somebody you cant approach either, given his mobile number is public knowledge.

Just ordered my flowers to be placed today. The florist has reconfirmed that you must NOT put a Kean Out/Venkys Out message with them as they will be removed by the club.

Whether you agree or not with the method of this protest, it is actually a peaceful way of getting a message across to the club that we are not happy with what is going on. For once this cannot be accused of affecting players on the pitch.

SERIOUSLY? RIP?

Dont know about you guys, but I am going to watch my Rovers on sat :brfcsmilie:

Yeah, but you might not even have that option in two years' time.

What happens to our parachute money if/when Venky's default on their Barclay's mortgage? Bankruptcy is, sadly, not a very unlikely scenario if these clowns stay on as owners.

The big divide for me is that many fans don't have a clue about what goes on away from the pitch and many arent bothered either.

That is the problem – speaking to a fellow fan at the weekend, he informed me that (in his opinion), Venky’s are improving.

I asked him how they were improving and he could not really back up his point of view.

So let me get this right, I'm a fool (in your opinion) because I choose not to let something that I don't know about affect me? If it all comes out then yes I will determine what effect it has on me. But for the time being I'm saying how I feel based on current events and minimal knowledge of what actually is going on.

That is fair enough point and I agree they have been inclusive for all Rovers Supporters. However a lot of people do not know who they are and they have a danger of becoming a factor in dividing the fans which would be a great shame as they do care for the club. My point is they have a perfect opportunity to now turn this negativity into a massive positive. Once then they earn the respect of the "anti-protest" crowd by showing a massive support for the team, organising pro marches etc then it will be easier for them then to get people to back the Kean out and Venky's out protest. It was evident at the last game that people did not like the plane and especially in a build up to a massive game doing this flowers thing is increasing division between supporters. I just think it is time for this to stop and we all get behind the team, Glen and Co and their obvious influence have a big chance to be bigger than Venky's and get all the supporters going in the same direction.

Fair play for trying to think of something to unite the fans but I think its gone too far gone. Seems the protesters feel like the non protesters don’t care and/or not prepared to do anything except criticise and the non protesters seem to feel protesters want the team to do badly due to hatred of Kean and, therefore, refuse to get behind the team.

Also I’m sure even a rally to join rovers fans would be twisted by the media and others as being a pro Kean rally. It was bad enough when i didn't go to the arsenal march and in his post match comments Kean practically said everyone that didn’t go on the protest supported him. Feel sick thinking about him putting me in his camp by virtue of not attending a protest.

Can you imagine the horror of Kean claiming a PRO ROVERS rally was in fact in support of him which sure he would do. Think I’d die inside a little bit.

Here we go again. The club deciding how we are allowed to protest. What could be a more gentle protest than flowers.

Glen, please make sure the press know that the club plan to remove all anti-Venky messages on the flowers. They must be made aware of the cowardly action by the club. :angry2:

and we all get behind the team,

I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing this twoddle, the "team" ARE getting backed every single match. In fact they are probably getting backed more than their performances deserve. So can we nip this cr@p about the team not being backed in the bud right now please.

That's all very good matty, but what on earth is a 'positive march' going to achieve? It sounds like a plan from that loon we have as manager.

For a start it will unite the fans and get them together. You say we all get behind the team, well the atmosphere in Ewwod this season has been rubbish due to the tension and negativity around Kean. We all want him out and everybody seems on the edge at matches which means the atmosphere is lost. The plane did dampen the atmosphere as people started getting very angry about it. A Pro Rovers march can be shown as one of up yours at Venky's and Kean, but we still love the team. I would quite happy sing "one jack walker" all the way through. It can be put out to the press that this is a week off from the protests to show our support for the team, not Kean but the team!! Then have banners to show that. People keep saying that we are behind the team, well why not do something to show this. This would create a much better atmosphere in the ground and get that good feeling back at Rovers which has been killed by Kean and Venky's. It would be nice to show we are bigger than them and I am sure it would be well recieved by every Rovers fan either pro protest or not!! I am pretty much sick of all this negativity and feel it is the right time with a big game at the weekend that we show our support in a big way. If we get beat then naturally the whole crowd will turn on Kean as he would not be able to blame the fans only himself.

Flowers ordered from In Bloom in Darwen, Mel, shop owner, has told me that she has been getting orders in from all over the world to go down to Ewood.

Here is the link for any of our overseas supporters In Bloow - Florist For International Orders & Local Orders

Hey Lee, would you do me a favour? I have read every post on this thread and made comments, but I still have no idea what the point of it is. You're a balanced, well informed person so if you can spell it out for me I would appreciate it.

I just want to know why people are buying things like '1875-2011 RIP' and 'Blackburn Rovers RIP' - all in Black & White flowers and laying them on the Jack Walker statue.

But you could also say what is laying flowers going to achieve?

Fact is there is in all probability nothing we can do to influence anything, Matty is obviously just looking at it from a different angle as in we are in it now let's be in it together, that notion seemed popular after the Chelsea game but this latest incident has swung the balance again.

What are the protests now aimed at achieving? Is it to make life uncomfortable for Venky's, to persuade them to sell up? In any case, it's trying to achieve a definite aim, and a "positive march" wouldn't have the desired effect.

Venky's need to get out of Dodge (for them and for us), they had a nice comfy train waiting for them, but they managed to bungle that, with no more trains likely to pop over the horizon and no stage coaches or horses about, looks like they're stuck here.

I find it more appalling that you knock everything you are not involved in, without offering alternatives!!

Supporters with blind faith are praying for a miracle, but will you hold your hands up when things really do get bad? I guess you will be ducking for cover and throwing a hissy fit as per usual. And TBH I didnt expect much different from you.

I respect those who protest and I mostly agree with the motives behind them, however when you start accusing fans who do not take part in the protests of being 'pro venkys' or 'pro kean' thats when I think the protesters cross a line. I dont think these protests have been as effective as they could have been simply because of the games that they have chosen to protest at. Im not pro Venkys in any way but even I wouldn't have protested after either the Spurs or Chelsea games, simply because we played well against far better teams.

I also personally feel that flying a plane over a home game does more harm than good.

The protests need to be exclusively about Venky's and not effect the players on the pitch. People have been talking about boycotting games etc when all that will achieve is damaging the players morale even further.

In fact I genuinely couldnt understand why fans were protesting so vehemently against Kean in the first place when it should all have been about Venky's and their decision to hire him from the beginning.

In terms of the laying of flowers. Im not particularly comfortable with the idea and I dont know what this will achieve. What exactly do you expect to happen?? Kean clearly isn't going to get fired due to the fans' opinions and Venkys aren't going sell based on that either. The message has been made and picked up on by the national media so I dont know what further protests will do.

I appreciate that fans dont want to sit back and just watch as Venky's stumble from one blunder to the next, but the reality is that they own the club. Although we can influence their decisions that can only happen if they're willing to listen and by the sounds of it, they're ignoring these protests.

Think of it as the third ghost of Christmas, it's the ghost of the future, they are showing the world Blackburns future if venkys don't go or change.

I'm not involved, that's just my understanding.

I don't disagree Tom, if the chance to get out of 12 months worth of disaster with a nice profit from Quatari Oil barons isn't enough to make them sell, 'humble' mortals laying flowers sure as hell isn't.

However, 'a positive march' waving scarves is not going to get off the ground either.
