In fact I genuinely couldnt understand why fans were protesting so vehemently against Kean in the first place when it should all have been about Venky's and their decision to hire him from the beginning.

because the Kean protest has been largely unsuccessful, people are starting to under estimate the infleuence of that man.

To me he is the problem, his lies and false friendship he has built with venkys.

It's not much different then a young Anna Nicole Smith marrying a 87 year old billionaire, it's a false friendship for personal gain.

It's got to a point where Kean is such a "good, nice optistic person" that Venkys will wait until the last second to push him.

Kean convinces them the protesters are the minority and that we are unlucky and to have faith in him.

the guy is a big big liar.

But he's got games he can win coming up, so I guess he's as won the battles so far, as he still has a job.

I don't disagree Tom, if the chance to get out of 12 months worth of disaster with a nice profit from Quatari Oil barons isn't enough to make them sell, 'humble' mortals laying flowers sure as hell isn't.

However, 'a positive march' waving scarves is not going to get off the ground either.

In honesty Matty I think we are on the same wavelength on this one. At half time in the Chelsea game on the concourse the general feeling was that after the plane etc there was no further to take it, no more to do but get behind the team fully all the way.

Now obviously this latest thing about the non sale has brought a lot of anger back to the surface and I find it absolutely absurd that they have let this opportunity go but now what can be done?

Unless I am mistaken and there is stuff unknown to us meaning we could still have a chance

It was to give Venky's the chance to right the wrong regarding his appointment in the first place.

Yes it might not get off the ground, but if it did would you join in??? I know I would and it would have the backing of more supporters on the whole inside the ground than any negative march. My point is lets all get together and unite the supporters. If that passion showed on creating anti Kean banners and anti kean songs was transferred to pro player banners and pro player songs then the atmosphere in the ground would be so much better and be a statement to the players that we support them. At this point in time while we are all behind the team nothing tangible has been done to show that. We can still hate Kean and Venky's but I think it is time to hit it from another angle that will unite all the supporters.

The non-protestors line of "get behind the team" doesn't work for me

I would say that remove the protestors from the ground i.e. BB End N01/N02 and Darwen Enders, and the ground would be even more silent.

IMO the majority of the non-protestors are a silent proportion of the crowd, so not are vocally backing the team.

(Before anyone says "I sing", I said "the majority of" not ALL.)

Disagree, all to easy for Kean and Venky's to twist as support for themselves.

You're not wrong there.

I had a row with a bloke behind me at the City game, 'get behind 'em' he said- it was the only thing he said all afternoon.

Kean shouldnt be in the job, but who the hell hired him in the first place? What did Venky's expect when they hired an inexperienced coach to manage a premier league football club?? Its not a massive surprise to see that he's struggled over the past 12 months and that's why I dont really understand why people seem to hate Kean more than Venkys. You couldnt blame SK for taking the job after all.

Flowers ordered from In Bloom in Darwen, Mel, shop owner, has told me that she has been getting orders in from all over the world to go down to Ewood.

Here is the link for any of our overseas supporters In Bloow - Florist For International Orders & Local Orders

Haven't you already said that twice in this thread?

Definite commission, making money out of a protest..

That is why you put out in the press before hand that this a Pro Players March and we still want Venky's and Kean out. It is a risk but what is the downside in grand scheme of things?? If they do that then it is back to say no this was and Pro Players March and get that across to the press. They still twist these marches as 1% anyway but I am sure the players would be massivly boosted by a crowd that is fully behind the team. (or at least a show of support) This better atmosphere would then egg on the "non Protesters" to actually get up, sing and get behind the team. I agree they are the ones not singing at matches but they are like sheep and when others start to sing and there is a positive atmosphere generated then they join in. It is just another option in my opinion.

Here we go again. The club deciding how we are allowed to protest. What could be a more gentle protest than flowers.

Glen, please make sure the press know that the club plan to remove all anti-Venky messages on the flowers. They must be made aware of the cowardly action by the club. :angry2:

So what would you prefer?

The club not advise this was going to happen and just remove the flowers as soon as they arrive? They'd be perfectly entitled to do so, just as they are for any delivery.

At least those who are spending money on the flowers aren't wasting their money by doing something that will definitely be futile. By setting ground rules at least those who have spent the cash know that it's not totally redundant.

I'm against this particular protest, but wouldn't want supporters to be throwing £15 a shot down the drain for something that could be avoided.

Can I have another -1 please?

Fantastic idea, Kean and Venkys are the problem and there is only one solution.

If we win or lose this week end makes no difference the danage is being done and gets worse the longer things stay as they are.

Kean must go and there is no way back for the Vs any more.

Flowers was an idea we put to the club four weeks ago long before remembrance Sunday and we weighed up the pro's and con's at the time and sat on the idea.

All football club remembered our fallen hero's on Bonfire Night as we all took part in the two minute remembrance at the game, The official day for remembrance was Friday just gone and was remembered in Church on the 13th November. Thats a whole 8 days of different things which have done to remember those who who fought for the life we have now.

This idea has not come on the back of it, quite the opposite, If we was giving away £20 notes people would find reason to have a moan that they want two £10 Notes instead, It is what it is.

Over the last few months, letters, emails , telephone calls and even a trip to Pune has done nothing to ease people's fears. Pre-Match marches, and Sit in's have also to date done nothing to ease our fears either.

If at all anything, all that has gone before has highlighted what a mess we really are in and it show's no sign of turning a corner.

So do we give up? Accept defeat and pray?

Simon and I and many others spent days discussing what we could do this week, especially with the restrictions we have had put in front of us by the club and other supporters.

It does not matter what Idea's we come up with as a group, some-one will always find an angle to knock it.

In the last couple of months i have heard:

Don't want you to do a march because it goes past my dad's house and it will effect him deeply.

Don't do a March because its too early

Don't do a March because it will effect the players

Don't chant during games as it will effect the players

Don't do sit-ins because you are making us a laughing stock and an embarrassment

Dont bring banners as it will upset the players

Don't bring banners because it will upset supporters

Don't Protest before or during games

Don't trivialise death by laying flowers

Don't leave anti kean or anti Venkys messages

We was not expected to win those games

Get behind the team (Which everyone has I may add)

We are turning the corner and have been unlucky and our one win in eleven is false.

Only protest against if we lose to teams like Wigan

Don't protest at all, accept that Venkys own the team, Kean Manages the team and if they take us down don't worry about it, its only a game

Don't have a go at non-protestors but please accept them to have a go at you

The list goes on and on, I accept certain individuals regardless of Rovers position will always think this way, and they will throw insults looking for a reaction, and then when they get one they jump on their high horse.

I see a team which just 12 months ago was a well run club which owned everything and had £18 Million pounds worth of debt, which in football terms is very small. We was also a top 10 side with an experienced board and Manager.

12 Months on or (Judge us in 12 months) We are owned by Billionaires who have put no money in bar the purchase price, They have mortgaged just about everything our debts have escalated to levels unimaginable in 12 months, We have won 6 matches in 32 games under the Manager they appointed. We have a board who can't get answers and makes no decisions (There words not mine) We have a Manager who won't report to the board and says "I don't answer to you lot" (Their words not mine) None of the people appointed at Rovers bar the new Finance Director has experience in the roles they are doing. No-one can tell you what their role is, Communication is non-existant. Supporters are taking huge lumps out of each other. We have a Majority shareholder who makes all the decisions but has chose to Visit Blackburn just once in 12 months. We have an Agent who is monopolising our transfers and still remains on the scene.

Above all we have people still making excuses for them and thinking it will all blow over...............

Forgive me for being worried, I can't change the way I am as a person or the way I tackle issues. I have always been a pro-active individual who faces problems head on. Did I ever think I would spend so much precious time on Blackburn Rovers? Time I will never get back, Do I think its worth it?

Absoulutely, I'm Rovers Til I Die, and ain't going to stand by and take our club fading away lieing down, I don't know what makes others tick, I can only speak for myself, but for everyone who Knocks Simon and I for trying there is someone who is fully behind what we are doing. There is no "I" In team, and everyone who has took part or has supported the reasons for us doing it is all part of the same team. There is no leaders, no-one who makes a final decision, everything we have doen to date is with the majority vote from those taking part.

If people do not wish to take part then thats fine, but don't have a go at us that will continue to fight for what we believe is right. If people want to slate us, then they can't expect to sit back and not react back.

This isn't about "throwing business" someones way, its about protesting.

Maybe if you talked her into sending a few bouquets for free, then more people would be inclined to use her shop? ;)
