[Archived] Kean seals new Blackburn deal

Recommended Posts

I honestly dont think that Kean has the integrity or backbone to put the club before himself and not sign a new contract whilst we're still in the relegation zone. He's a little snake who will use this club and its @#/? owners to make himself as rich and powerful as possible no matter what damage that does to the club. No chance he would have put the talks on hold.

Am I missing something or has Kean himself ruled out signing a contract at this stage?

Whilst I agree its complete madness but the owners, hes not signed and isn't going to for now.

He has said the owners want to talk about a new contract but he doesn't, wants to concentrate on getting results.

So he has admitted that the owners want to give him a new contract and you can make your own mind up about the rest.

Good job he doesn't have a record of lying.............

Have you had a drink sir? "Nope"

Did you see the plane? "Nope"

When does Pre-season start "The 23rd your honour"

Isn't it the case that the new contract (signed or not) increases his salary but makes him cheaper to fire?

If that is right, it would be entirely in character for kean to use the excuse of putting the team first when in reality, he doesn't want to sign because he's figured he will ultimately be a lot better off under his existing deal as and when he is potted.

Not according to Nicko. He says Kean insisted that be taken out before he put pen to paper.

In that case then its as bonkers as a night out with Charlie Sheen.

Flunky's are hell-bent on a suicidal car-crash and kean's their driver...

Bloody hell novella!

Why can people still not grasp it? Kean is the wrong target for your anger! Given that this is 22 Nov then in the never to be forgotten words of Lee Harvey Oswald he (Kean) "is just a Patsy"

The owners are to blame and id love them to get smashed to bits by an 18 stone nut job but they are never here. kean will have to do instead.

Hold up, it does'nt happen often but my brain has sparked up something....... Maybe if Venky's were going to sell the club it would be nice to reward golden boy a nice payoff for the new owners to pay.

I know, i'm clutching at straws here but really, is there any other reason?

This is my (very) hopeful theory too. That perhaps time is going to be called on this unfunny comedy circus and they will indeed sell up. The clown gets a decent pay off and the ringmasters get a whacking profit.

If he is at the helm at the end of the season then my 24 consecutive years of having a season ticket will be up.

The buck stops at the top. Venkys have set up the fraud and everyone else is just doing their dirty work. Its amazing what people will do for their 30 pieces of silver.

Apatsy is an unwitting dupe.

Kean's never that, he knows exactly what he's doing.

My ire's directed first and foremost at Anderson and Kean. In fact, the patsies here are Venky's. Completely clueless and hopeless, they really walked into something they knew nothing about and were ripe for plucking.

Northern_Rover Northern Rover

What a total and utter farce, senior staff at Ewood don't even know if Kean has signed a new contract. While staff in Pune deny story.

Northern_Rover Northern Rover

Do I believe Pune staff? No. But situation is a farce, how can you run a club when senior staff at Ewood are out of the loop. Bonkers.

Thinking of renaming the roundabout at the bottom of Oakdale to "Venkys Circle" as it lacks direction, goes round and round and could go one of 4 different directions.

Also in the spirit of naming roads after Rovers employees, we could create a "Kean Close" - a cul de sac for sure - no way through!

Looks like Eddie Howe's going to get the bullet before Kean, bumley just lost in the last minute at Birmingham :D

Lets hope for heavy traffic on the M6 north for the 25000000 away fans travelling back to Yorkshire :tu:

GAV, the man's a compulsive bull$hitter, there's even a YouTube video that celebrates this fact, I'd suggest he has signed it by virtue of the fact he says he hasn't.

I bet they never announce Kean getting a new contract, they are already sending out mixed messages and no-one has the balls to confirm either way, the owners are so arrogant they dont care what the fans think nor the English media they just bugger off back to India and hide from all the press and the fans.

There is no reason he should be offered a contract and an explanation should be given but I bet it wont be.

I really don't think I can begin to express how utterly disillusioned I feel right now and even during the dark days of the 80s when we were completely skint, through the relegation in 1999 and to the pitiful time under Ince I never felt as low as now. Steve Kean is the worst manager we've had since I started going in 1983 and now we're stuck with him. Banners, booing and flowers have done nothing and even telling the W@nky brothers directly has done nothing. The anti-Glazer contingent at Moanchester Urinals might not have toppled their hated owners but they are very visible through their use of non-team colours. Maybe the so-called 1% as Kean laughably sees the protesters should make their presence more visible by wearing something that stands out in the stands. Those lovely high visibility jackets would do the trick and they even sell them in the club shop with a Rovers badge on them. If it's Rovers branded stuff it's hard to see how the club could curtail it. I hate Kean, I hate W@nky's and I hate the way my club is being destroyed.

Its so sad - even when we were skint - you knew that the board were Rovers at heart. Venky's - who knows what their motives are - its just too frightening to contemplate at the moment. Lets just hope it has got to the darkest before the dawn - and that there isnt worse to follow.

So, the only thing we're all going on is Nixon's word in a tabloid??

The same Nixon who tonight admitted that he hasn't got a clue what is going on at the club and the same Nixon that hasn't got anything Rovers-related right for a long time?

I wouldn't start tying the knots in your nooses just yet...
