brian_gallagher85
Regarding email contact I emailed Paul Hunt after one incident. The reply I received came via Lynsey Talbot but was signed supposedly by Paul Hunt - LTalbot@rovers.co.uk ( but expect spin!) Pretty sure that Lynsey has been at Ewood for a lot longer than that. imy9
It would be interesting to see the actual contract and whats changed, maybe it'll leak if someone feels strongly enough about exposing its contents. I cannot for the life of me see any reason to reward this mans efforts as Blackburn Rovers manager. I've spent many hours over the past 12 months defending the owners, and defending the manager because I thought they'd get things right, how wrong could I have been. They’re completely out of their depth, and between them are destroying the club each and every minute Kean stays in charge. Dire +1 Your position is similar to mine Gav. broadsword
I think between Alan Nixon and the club, I'll choose to believe Nixon. It stinks, supposedly done 3 weeks ago. Can't wait for the day these parasites leave.

47er
Not sure to be honest. imagine that Venky say to him after the chelsea game that he going to be sacked. Kean says judge me on the results of the winnable games I.e. the next few games til Xmas. At this point they agree to give him more games in exchange for a new deal with no pay off. Alternatively, they say we will double your wage but if we sack you then you get nothing. Not saying this is fact but it is the only semi logical conclusion I can come to. That are the Venkys have taken mass amounts of LSD Nothing but fanciful hope I'm afraid. He's got a pay rise (for what?) and the club has been shamed by journalists into admitting it. This at a time when virtually all fans want rid of him. If he does go (eventually) it will cost more to get rid of him which, in itself, acts as a deterrent to sacking him. The real point though is that fans don't count, Kean rubbed our noses in it on Saturday, The owners have done the same. The protests were as clear as could possibly be yet he signs a new contract. The club is in meltdown.
speeeeeeedie
Still, Kean is not willing to open talks until results improve and told ESPNsoccernet: "Yes, there have been discussions about a new contract, but I have told the owners that this is an inappropriate time to conclude any new contract discussions. Instead, the real issue is for me and everyone else to concentrate on the games. ESPN. Following recent media speculation Blackburn Rovers FC can confirm a revision to manager Steve Kean's existing contract has been completed. Official statement. I'm just speechless. What a way to treat their own fans. What a bunch of t*****s. It doesn't add up does it? I feel for season ticket holders, they have already paid their money and will have to endure what will turn into a very fracticious Ewood, or sit at home and waste the money they paid, in good faith, to see their team play. I have no idea what is going on, but something is not right. Does the PR bloke live in the locality? I wonder what non-playing Rovers employees think of what is going on. Barring a miracle we are going down. Will we ever get back? Kean is a coach, not a manager. Anderson is an agent, not a football club executive. Venkys sell chickens, they don't run football clubs. deftangel
I gave these mugs a shot because I expected they would have a plan that involved *replacing* the management team, rather than just removing one, and getting rid of their *experiment* if it started to go south. It's became very clear after the first few games of the season they've got all this horribly, horribly wrong. This slap in the face to fans is indefensible to an incomprehensible magnitude. There are no mitigating factors here. length of contract, no pay rise, sacked in X games clause or otherwise. As a club and as fans, we WILL outlast these muppets but it's going to be a phoenix from the flames starting at square zero job when it all shakes out. booth
So Kean proves himself to be a liar once again, and Venky's make another baffling decision which will no doubt make the rumour mill spin faster. I hate these people.

NeRvOuS Wr3Ck
I think that IF them idiots decide to sell then wont the new owners have to pay off keans contract, cos the reason i say this is that they cannot afford to sack him, so they give him a new contract sell the club new owners sack him then everybodys happy, any one thinks the say or am i just hoping. Kamy100
That "statement" is a total and utter embarrassment. Also there is no way that Kean would agree to any deal that made it easier for Venky's to sack him or one that disadvantages him in anyway. To me that statement is a total fudge, they got caught out by the information leaking out at the wrong time and have tried to fudge the issue by releasing a statement like that. Seggie
Swear words cannot describe this I physically feel sick to the stomach by Venky's by Steve Kean and by the people at the club this has to be the biggest FU in the history of football. The club is being run by slimey individuals who have treated fans like dog ###### on their shoe. Nobody knows who runs the club, nobody at the club knows who runs the club. I love my club but I think if there is any hint of wrongdoing by ANYONE at the club I want it investigated. I couldn't care less about the consequences such as fines/points deductions/bans/administration. I want transparency, I want to know why my club who Ive spent 1000s on over the years has been run into the ground and dragged through the muck. How did Kean think he could get away with what he said yesterday? I agree with the South Park analysis of his kind, 'HE HAS NO SOUL'
Robbo
Come on guys...look at the positives. Venky's are using their in depth football knowledge and experience to improve Kean's contract so that when one of the "Big Clubs" come in for him we'll be entitled to a significantly better compensation package. I'm sure kean has told them that the way we are playing it's only a matter of time before we will be inundated with offers for his services. ruggles1995
Will proberly only get worse. In January we will most likeley sell Samba for around 10mill and that will prob be our budget (so venkys not actualy using there own money again) and buying players like freddy Edu etc... then in the summer Kean will proberly still be in charge because he is unsackable, and we will sell the likes of robinson, nzonzi, yakubu, Dann, rochina, Hoillet all on the cheap. Then the likes of tommy smiths etc will all be coming through the door and before u no it we will be a 12th placed safe mid table boring championship team with Kean still talking poitives in front of about 8-10,000 each week. Im already geared up. Im praying for a saviour.
