Al
http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/122680.html Problem is when Kean speaks the only thing you can be sure of is that his mouth is moving.

Alex Rover
Head exploding with two different stories. This gives me the horrors, it really does. Please, you're not saying there's more to come out?
Plastic Head
It's tricky to decide what to do next. The protests worked to an extent in that it got the attention of the media, reading articles in recent days it's clear that the media know that a majority of Rovers fans aren't happy. But it hasn't achieved the ultimate goal of removing the manager. A mass boycott looks like the next logical step, but then I can't see fans en masse doing that for fear of the impact it might have on the team. The way I see it is the manager is doing so much damage to the team that a boycott wouldn't have that much of a detrimental impact on the players, we can't get any lower or perform any worse. Now don't just read past this bit... The impact of anything fans may do on the team has become irrelevant. Results have become irrelevant. Who Kean picks in the team, who we sign or sell, whether the academy produces players, tactics, substitutions, whether we win, draw or lose is all irrelevant now. What is at stake is the existance of Blackburn Rovers, make no mistake. Our only future is without Venkys and of course Kean, as they are two cheeks of the same ass. Surely no-one still believes Kean can "turn it around". Surely no-one still thinks Venkys are going to invest in the club, or that it will ever be run properly, or that they listen to anyone with the club at heart not their own wallet. No need for organised protests anymore, we'll just get on with it, those who still have the heart to go that is. Perhaps things will only happen when games start to be delayed or abandoned, not the I suggest that of course. Right now Administration would be a godsend. Happy days. Speedie Dived
So Kean confirms contract talks have taken place and manages to squeeze another lie out of his mouth at the same time. This will never be confirmed, in 21 months when he is still here, that's the confirmation we will get. Our simple owners have taken their incompetence to new depths. Did they think he was going to be poached? Simply stunned

rovers-baz
Have had a gut feeling that this lot are going to kill and bury this club, and if this is true about the new deal then thats that!!!! Now i think we should all club together and buy a COFFIN and carry it to the directors entrance and place it outside at the next home game before the kick off ........ Mandrake
How can Kean have concience or whatever the spielling is- to keep the job - it is so amazingly selfish if you ask me. Maybe we need to beg kean to think of the club

AJW
i think the boycotting of games will gain support with many but in my opinion it shouldn't happen , if you boycot the games you give up your voice and if fewer fans are protesting then Venky's Kean etc will think they have won us over , go to the games and keep on protesting louldy than ever

imy9
I give up. Venky's have been given enough chances, this is the one that broke the camels back. Why could I not see that these people have no business acumen whatsoever and have no love/understanding about football or Rovers for that matter. Boycotting will make little difference, the only thing to get rid of them will be to be in the Championship next year and I am already braced for that now. bestierover
Kean gets new deal. was he not signed up on the cheap in the first instant? As such, could he not have used the blackmail card; pay me more, a successor will cost even more.
ad0102
It says it all when I kind of agree with PlasticHead that it would be a godsend if we went into administration now as we are going down anyway Let us start again in the division below. Venkys Out
beerwins
Kean will have signed I have no doubt at all, they are just waiting for a win to announce it, I bet he even promised they would win against Wigan on Saturday and that's why they were here to bang the PR drum together. Sad state of affairs.
rickard
So if the club is Venky's "baby" surely this is a clear case of child abuse. Who calls the cops?

donnermeat
If there was anyone left that still believed Venkys were TRYING to do the right thing, then this most certainly will demolish this theory. This is so calculated its f***ing evil. Edit- had a heated row with my boss over this today, he thinks its the right thing to do. Worst of all he was being serious, but he is a manure fan. Needless to say profanities were used.

BRFC1995
as long as kean and venkys are here there are 2 possible outcomes for the club..........a very quick death (seems most likely) and a slightly less immediate death. He is'nt going anywhere, they are'nt going until the liquidators take us off them.......fubar'd in 12 months and no one at the club who actually has morals or cares in the slightest for the clubs future. In this instant just reading this news after coming back from work and realising results won't get better and that we are relegated in november i hope stoke f'ing batter out of site whatever team this scumbag picks on saturday and that the abuse begins before kick off and just gets louder and harsher..............f'ing fuming. Anoter plane called for with stronger wording please

Pitty
As bad as it sounds you can't really blame Kean for signing this contract, everybody on this site would accept a payrise at work even if they were doing a crap job. The blame should be cast to who gives out the contracts either Venkys or Simon Hunt. What is the point in Simon Hunt, he cant even get Hoillet to a new contract and if was any good in his job he would have strongly advised for Keans contract to not go ahead or quit, to me he is another member of rovers staff who is there for the money and not bothered about the club. Yeah, and this will probably be the last contract Kean ever signs as a mananger, well unless Wanky's decide to give him a new one for christmas. For honestly, even after all the "kind words" from managers like Vilas-Boas and Redknapp (probably made up by Kean himself, the kind words that is, Redknapp is probably real...) surely there is no other club that would ever sign Kean as a manager.
