Roversider Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Just ordered myself a yellow and black scarf off ebay. Hopefully this will attract the biggest numbers for any kind of protest so far. Are you a Watford fan?

rigger Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Just ordered myself a yellow and black scarf off ebay. Hopefully this will attract the biggest numbers for any kind of protest so far. Football, it's a game of two halves. Blue and white.
whatdial Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Advertising blimps?... When you want to distinctly make it evident; You Mean Business! or maybe announce a happy event such as a wedding reception, party, or other venue. Be seen for miles and miles and miles in fact a large size Balloon, floated at 200 feet can be seen for up to 7 miles! In normal conditions. Balloons and Blimps, do not require planning permission, when floated at up to 200 feet and for up to ten promotions a year. Neither require permission from the Civil Aviation Authority, when at 200 feet (60mts). You on balloon commission? Them balloons will drive the venkys mad great idea, let's get one!
Darwen_Blue Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I might be able to get a couple hundred balloons (Black&Yellow)donated but I would need to pass them on to someone involved in the protests to pass them out. If interested PM me.

They will be bobbing there pants at seeing all those balloons with those special fans holding them! This is the best protest yet!
Ray-Von Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I'm staging my own protest. I'm giving up shaving until Kean is sacked. I fully expect to be sitting here this time next year, looking like Brian Blessed, whilst ruminating on a battling 3-0 loss to Barnsley.

Whatever, the offer is there and I can probably get printed ones with 100% ROVERS VENKY'S OUT but not for this week. Once you decide upon a coherent direction in regards to protesting the offer will be there.
vintageadidas Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 The Rovers team have their breakfast at Stanley House prior to every game. We could well get the chants going there? You could even get into the breakfast room and question Kean on how he is so totally inept.
sharpysharps Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Are you a Watford fan? Nope not a Watford fan, a Rovers fan since 1991 and I will be wearing my Rovers shirt at the game on Saturday. I decided on getting a scarf instead of the t-shirt because I want to wear my Rovers shirt. Doesn't make me any less of a fan in my opinion if I don't wear the usual Rovers scarf for 1 game
Blueheart Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 I think someone should quite calmly have a chat with keane nad ask him man to man if his heart is with Blackburn Rovers ? If so then surely he in the best interests of the club should relaise that things are not working out and to be at least be a man about it and do the bset thing and offer his resignation ! The trouble is would Venky's accept it !!
Guest Rovers4Good Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Or you could just go to the ground with all the others and chant there?
Mercer Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Are you a Watford fan? Come on Roversider - even the likes of you and Roversmum must now be prepared to admit drastic action is required. IMO, our club is hurtling towards oblivion at breakneck speed. Blink, and you'll miss it!

IMO, our club is hurtling towards oblivion at breakneck speed. Blink, and you'll miss it! We cannot at any costs hurt the players feelings though merceman, for that reason, we should sit quietly and calmly and greet the slow death of our football club I can see violence unfolding on Saturday, between the protesters and the fans who believe protesting during the game will affect the players. Its already flared up once or twice in the BBE.
Fife Rover Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Come on Roversider - even the likes of you and Roversmum must now be prepared to admit drastic action is required. IMO, our club is hurtling towards oblivion at breakneck speed. Blink, and you'll miss it! I fully agree that drastic action is needed, and I have already taken it. I bought my usual season ticket in the JW Upper in June and came to the first two home games. Then after suffering through the pain of losing to Wolves and then Everton I have never been near Blackburn since; nor will I do so again until the Kean/Venkys problem is solved permanently and successfully.I have not asked for a refund on my season ticket, because I have continued to live in hope that the buffoon would be sacked after each successive debacle of a game. My greatest pain was that I had to miss the Wigan away match which I had been planning to attend because it was the nearest available match at which to celebrate my 65th anniversary as a Rovers fan. My first ever game at Ewood having been the 1st Div match against Grimsby Town on 22/11/46, and missing that much anticipated occasion was heart breaking but necessary as far as I am concerned, as I am absolutely convinced that the very best form of protest is for all true Rovers fans to boycott ALL Rovers matches home and away until the Venkys get the message that Kean must go.Just imagine for one moment the massive impact that an Ewood Park COMPLETELY bereft of home fans would create. Not ONE Rovers fan in the ground, and just away fans present for a PL game. The media would be all over that one and the impact would be tremendous. It would most probably only take one match to do the trick and Venkys would be forced into making a decision either sellup or at least sack Kean immediately. This would be infinitely more effective than than any number of marches, balloon or aeroplane stunts, shirt wearing or singing "Kean Out"can ever hope to be. Anyway that is my take on the cure for this... the worst disaster ever to afflict our beloved club since the day it was formed 136 years ago; BAR NONE!!!!
Neil Weaver Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 It would indeed be a very powerful statement Fife (a boycott) but would be near impossible to organise. You'd have to contact (maybe not first hand, but somebody would) EVERY potential Rovers spectator and convince them it is the right thing to do. Hard to believe, but there's been one poster on here today with the view that protesting is not the way to go. Meanwhile I might make a comment about great minds, but this is BwD Council we're talking about.......... http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9392826.Blackburn_Rovers_owners_invited_for_urgent_talks_with_council_leader/ Do we have a spy in the camp? Still think this message needs to get to the non-football community - question for you folk in the Blackburn area who might have an LT handy : whereabouts in the paper does this atricle appear?
2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Balloons, t-shirts are all a waste of money. You do those sorts of things to raise the profile of our thoughts, we done that weeks ago. The national newspapers picked it up. What more coverage do you want? Kean needs removing and I'm not sure how we can do that as fans without getting arrested. I don't think it's a time to give up on the protests but we need to get smarter. What will really make Venkys think? What will hurt their image most?

Neil Weaver Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Page 3, down right hand side of page. Thanks tomphil, is it fairly prominent (if you weren't a Rovers fan, do you think you'd have read it? I'm trying to gauge if it'll be read by non-football folk)? Wonder how much the council leader paid to be a Page 3 girl?
MarkBRFC71 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Enough’s enough – it’s time for the gloves to come well and truly off. As we’ve seen so far, politely protesting after the game is easily dismissed afterwards by Kean as a couple of hundred militants with nothing better to do, and so far has seemingly had no impact whatsoever. For those who say don’t protest during the game because it affects the players – so what? Kean IS taking us down – it’s blatantly obvious. If we beat Swansea , this fact will not be altered, and all the 3 points will do is guarantee the charlatan a while longer in the job. The season-end result will be the same – win, lose or draw – relegation. I honestly think we’re down now anyway but the only way to that we’ll have any slim hope of escaping relegation is to get Kean out, and appoint a proper, experienced manager. On Saturday the protests need to be sustained and vociferous, and from the moment we enter Ewood to the moment we are forced to leave – this is the only way to reinforce the strength of feeling against Kean and Venky's. Hopefully the more moderate supporters will also pick this up and join in. Furthermore, people are more likely to join in with the protests during the game than those at the end (as seen against City), further swelling numbers. If we’re losing heavily, great, the reaction will be even more hostile. I don't know how or if it could be arranged but think the banner ban should be completely ignored; encourage as many people as possible to paint ‘Kean Out’ and/or 'Venky's Out' onto a sheet (everyone must have fairly easy access to an old bed sheet and paint), hide it about their person and unveil them at a pre-agreed time, whether we’re winning or not. Even if only 50 people do it the ensuing chaos as stewards simultaneously try to remove 50 banners will create enough of a commotion to be noticed by TV and radio commentators, further reinforcing the message. It needs several to do it though to be effective. I've been going for 29 years now, and this is the lowest ebb. Sure, we've been relegated before but we had Jack's money and a superb crop of youngsters to fall back on. It's been a long downward trajectory since Hughes left IMO, but this is the absolute nadir - it feels like the club itself is at stake.
Dan Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Venky's won't sack Kean. Would protesting to the F.A. help? Beg them to investigate us. As long as Venky's are here we are doomed. By the time Jack, my little nearly two year old boy, is old enough to go to football there will be no Rovers anymore.

2PAC 4 Blackburn Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Now is the time to protest, Venkys are at Ewood now. Take flags, tshirts, balloons, anything...
DeadlyDirk Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 The protest needs to be firmly aimed at the Venky's, With Kean I've got to the point where I don't feel he will be sacked by them under any circumstances, where as any new owner would sack him in an instant and put an end to both problems. Either that or we turn the campaign to 'Ince In' just to show how desperate the situation is. I do of course kid, knowing these jokers they'd probably do it. I just don't possibly see how any potential owner could be any worse so I have no fear of us being left in a worse position. We could lose premiership status, hell we could lose league status, that I could live with and continue to support the club but right now we are in danger of losing the traditions and the ideals that the club was built on, that is if we haven't already and that's something I find very hard to accept.

I agree with you but those gits at the FA will be pissing themselves at our downfall, theyve got WestHam lined up for our replacement.
