:o Couldn't stay behind yesterday cause had to be somewhere right after the match. If thats true though then for the first time I'm ashamed to be a protestor.

He was. It was 'your not fit to wear the shirt' a few were shouting 'keano's bitch'.

He was very flustered on Radio 5 and his mate Mark Chapman was having a good moan about Rovers fans.

Dont worry about big Jase, he's well paid to wrestle on the pitch.

You seem to have it in for Glen.........who's working his butt off for everyone else. A little bit of credit wouldn't go amiss.

Good luck to Glen and his efforts. However if the view is that it is for everyone else that is an inaccurate assumption. He has managed to keep the protests peaceful, well done for that. As to the rest I do not like the protests and I genuinely believe that the form they have taken has been counter productive in that it has, in my opinion, alienated large sections of the media and managed to keep them pro-Kean despite his record as a manager.

Personally I'm getting tired of reading that the supporters views are being put and co-ordinated by a group of self appointed protestors. I am more than happy that people protest even if I think it is not helping because it is my view and as such I claim it as my own and not others. Sometimes I think that the zealots amongst us have blinded themselves to differing views and convince themselves that they are more than they are, just supporters like the rest of us. Yes, have an opinion, yes work as hard at the protests as you like but don't assume we are all following the banner carriers.

Supporters are customers of the football club, heres one, tell me this, you have seen an advert for Venkys Chicken, you taste it, its crap, what do Venkys do?

(Please don't use that word again) off if you dont like it? No, they wouldnt be in business, they would write or phone the person concerned and ask what was wrong, apologise, send them a voucher for more chicken and make sure things were much better.

Now if a large amount of customers complained, you would sack whoever it was who was sending out the crap chickens or your business would be down the pan, thats how business works, the paying customer counts, as do the sponsors and they are disappearing too!!

I think it is about time glen mullen put up or shut up, hes really not helping the cause and his attitude and persona is turning a lot of people that i know off joining the organised protests(pre/post match) simply cos they dont want to be assosiated with him.

sorry if this seems rude, but it is just how it seems to me,

And what the hell are YOU doing to change what is happening to our club. I literally cannot understand those fans who are sitting back and watching their club fall apart in front of our eyes...

You CANNOT be happy with our place in the league.

You CANNOT be happy with our prospects for survival.

You CANNOT be happy that our club is being run by absolute idiots.

You CANNOT be happy that Kean blatantly lies to you week in week out.

You CANNOT be happy that those running the club are attempting to silence your opinion.

SO GET OFF YOUR ARSE AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! this club is f**cked if only a small number of fans can be bothered to make a stand against the owners and Kean.

I am not saying that WHEN we get relegated (and we will on Kean's form) you will only have yourselves to blame, you wont, Kean and Venky's will take the largest share, but in my opinion every person who just stands back and lets this happen to Rovers is a part of the problem.

So f**king sick of people coming on here, slating Glen's efforts and the efforts of all those standing up for their club, yet not offering any other solution. How do you think we should handle this situation? Get Venky's on the phone and ask them nicely to sack him? You come up with a better solution and i'm all hears. Until then enjoy sitting back watching your club fall to pieces.

Many things discussed behind closed doors are discussed on a trust basis, The biggest thing Simon and I have been working on for weeks is getting the supporters an audience with the powers that be so they can put across their concerns. By breaking people's trust we will just get further away from a solution, Singing like a canary will just keep this pot boiling instead of bringing it to an end for the best of the everyone.

When will you understand until you convince Mrs D. Nothing will happen. Until ideas are thought up that affects her, she will do nothing.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe Mrs. Desai is keeping Kean in a job?

I can't imagine her caring enough either way.

Your level-headed point of view is refreshing and your estimates are far more accurate than others :tu: .

I want Kean out because I think that is a common sense decision and we need points, I also want to enjoy coming to Ewood again. I hated having to listen to the negativity yesterday and I felt ashamed to share the same stand with people who were prepared to pile more pressure on a team desperate for a result...so for that reason I can never stand shoulder to shoulder with them or join in with mid-game chanting. I also didn't stand up when the chant of stand up if you want Kean out because it was a negative thing to do at a time when we were well in the game...but that doesn't mean that I want Kean to stay. I expect there were many more like me who want him gone, but didn't stand up for that same reason.

I joined in with the "One Jack Walker" chant because although it is a slight on the new owners, it is a positive song to sing and is respectful to the greatest man in our modern history...but I had a chat with the guy next to me who really wants Kean gone but didn't stand or sing to any of songs...I also expect there are many more like him too.

There must be many who think the same. The reasons for the protests needs to be explained to those who do not come onto this site. Many will want Kean out because of the results alone. But will have no idea about other reasons discussed on here.

Also the people of Blackburn need to understand the effect of having no prem club in the area will have on the local area. That is those who like football and those who do not. Makes no difference thye would be affected by Rovers going down. Get those on board and the protest will take a completely different shape and be more effective. It is not a coincidence that a councillor in the area has spoken out - you need to build on that.

Even the media are coming out and asking why are the rovers supporters protesting at the time the team is winning. Supporters of clubs around me are saying the same. Some even said the protestors come over as mindless thugs who do not supportr their team. Not nice, but how it is being portrayed outside of those who support rovers. They cannot understand why people are protesting at the time the team are winning.

They know we want the manager out. But say the team must be under enough pressure being where they are in the league - let alone being pressured by their own supporters.

Yeah me neither. She don't care about the club so you think she'd take the heroic publicity Venky's would get from sacking Captian Sh*t Head and hiring a good manager over any sense of being loyal to your manager (which, by the way, is one of the things I hate most about the football world. WHY does a club need to be loyal to its manager? If i go into work and do a sh*te job for a couple of months i would find it wholly reasonable for them to sack me. Especially if I was on £1.5m a year. I wouldn't expect that my co-workers would demand them to give me a couple of years to see if I improve. You're hired as a MANAGER. If you can't take being fired for being rubbish as a MANAGER then don't go in for the bloody job. Entirely that b*stard Ferguson's fault if you ask me).

ok you're entitled to your opinion but i am interested in the comment'put up or shut up' what do you expect him too do exactly? don't you say this kind of thing to people who are spouting off with words but no actions? Glen did indeed 'put up' and he did that in the week running up to the 17th September and has not stopped since, so i am not too sure with what you expect there tbh?

I'm also interested in what this 'attitude and persona' problem he has, which is stopping people protesting because it is something that hasn't been mentioned before? can you elaborate on this further too?

That is where the problem is. You cannot run a football club in the UK from India. Venkys chicken business is on their doorstep, so easier to manager etc.

Rovers is not. Added to that, they have not given people the authorite to run the club as it should be run.

For the 1st time this weekend the reaction on the protests from Savage and Colin Murray on MOTD was balanced and even in favour of the venkys/kean out protests.

Said how understandable the reaction was, how badly and bizarrly the club has been run. Showed the Yak/Kean booing moment.

Otherwise, the media reaction seems to have been pro-Kean and demanding pity for him.

...meant to mention you can see MOTD2 online, possibly immediately, it shows the message is getting through to mainstream media.

This is important for our resolve, following the above posts, some of which seem designed to split the protesters, divide & conquer.

I smell a mole or two..........

Go on then, enlighten the rest of us and explain why these ideas will work better than what is being done now. Glen is not an idiot. If someone comes up with an absolute cracker of an idea that will work wonders within the club then he will take it up... perhaps the problem is that all the ideas that have been put to him have been sh*te.... thought about that?

It isnt good abusing a Rovers player and i didnt join in but this is what happens when we have idiots running the club. Keans philosophy is Divide and Conquer and this is whats happening.

There seems to be a reasonable number of forum members that believe, following the Swansea game, that protests during the game have a detrimental effect on the performance of the players.

At the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, the fans generally accepted the wishes of the silent majority by refraining from during-match protests for the previous 8 Premier League fixtures.

During this period we conceded 20 goals, drew 3 matches(against teams predicted to seriously struggle this season), lost 5 matches and looked to be in freefall.

Against Swansea, this is the bleedin' obvious bit, sorry, the protestors continued their campaign throughout the match, we scored 4 goals and deserved to win.

The evidence, which is all we should be using during these emotive, challenging times, points to an interim conclusion that negative chanting, booing, etc, whilst still singing, cheering, and directly supporting the players, appears to be a successful strategy.

We will of course monitor if this strategy is more than a one-off success, but so far the facts are in favour of targeted, in-match protests.

what agenda could i possibly have?lolololololol

i didnt expect many on here to share my opinion, but it is my opinion and im entitled to it thank you!

my opinon is based on the reasons given to me by freinds and family that want kean out but arnt interested in the organised protests for the reason i said in my previous post.

You should look at the bigger picture.

Do you despise Glen more than you despise Steve Kean? If the answer is 'no' then stop being a baby and start protesting.

Glen is just an organiser btw, let your voice be heard if you're in a position where you're able to make a difference.

Glen has been given other ideas - but does not seem to want to listen to them.

Please enligten me to these idea's??? As to date bar pitch invasions, chaining ourselves to fences, storming the training ground or putting an advert in the indian paper at the cost of £3400 I don't seem to many idea's being thrown forwards.

The only other idea's which have been put forward would cost a lot of money and no-one seems willing to take a lead and organise it. Its ok saying do this or do that. if you have a great idea why dont YOU implement it?

Why don't you organise it?

Whatever anyone does it has to have an aim and a soloution, to date protests have done the following:

1.Had worldwide media coverage for 3 months, (Do you think this is by accident? or by the fact that we speak to the press on a daily basis and get them asking questions on our behalf and print press releases on our behalf)

2. We have had one open supporters meeting

3. We have had one interim meeting with 8 supporters and the club

4. We have now entered into talks with the board at Blackburn Rovers and these talks will continue this week to perhaps open another opportunity for a number of supporters to go and speak as a group to the board.

5. We have got councillors, sponsors and various others fighting our cause after WE made direct contact with them.

6. We are in daily contact with the club discussing ways forwards to satisfy the supporters concerns.

As the people who went to Pune will vouch, Its not very easy to get a meeting with the owners, they had to jump through hoops out there to get that meeting, The same will happen in this case. You have to go through each stage and build a trust up.

Do you think things could move any quicker? Christ I wish they would but things don't evolve that quickly at Rovers.

I have always told people if they wish to talk to me in person they can at matches or via the telephone, Simon has also said the same, I think some of your comments are very disrespectful not just to me (That don't bother me) but to those who doing everything the right way. What would happen if we did a pitch invasion, or any other thing that was breaking the law? Would this satisfy you?

Things have to be done the right way, as hostility in negotiations just pisses the very people off who you are trying to get through to, i.e the club and owners.

Would I change anything we have done?? Yes certainly but as I have always maintained we do what the majority who take part want, for e.g I was not too keen on the plane idea, however the majority was, so we ran with it.

I'm not having this conversation again, because I just don't understand your logic or what you wish to achieve or want others to achieve. I'm pleased with the progress and i'm far too busy to be explaining the groups actions every other day.

Incidentally you keep pointing out many things which is up at Rovers Etc, how do you think you can get your voice heard if you don't speak with the club???

As the club is talking to the protestors then I think thats a major step in the right direction

We get beat at Sunderland, the media turn on Kean again, taking other club's fans with them. So don't get too bogged down in what the press come out with, we are only newsworthy because the Champions League clubs are not 'in crisis' until later in the week.

Personally, I'm delighted that we held our nerve.

And as for the 'humanity of the protesters', get real! these are lads and lasses that are peed off with their football club not monks protesting for reform in Burma!
