Take a broadsheet newspaper (financial times is a good one) and open it out and start reading it on the first whistle. Doctor the front page headline to say Venkys / Kean out for effect. Perhaps even take Bild or Pravda as the chosen paper.

I think if they got involved in any protest, even for none football reasons. It would help. It is worth trying in my view. After all, if Rovers are relegated the business community as a whole will be affected. Nobody likes losing money.

Why would Indians join in protests ? There's hardly any go to games? And how would rovers relegation affect the ranges ? Hands up who uses / shops there ?

Has anyone got Richard Matthewman's ear? (not literally) Does he still come to Ewood? I believe he was a member of the Walker clan, also on the board too. He's been at Ewood for yonks, I recall him either in the 100 club & organising Juan Simon's first testimonial, along those lines.

It'd be interesting on what he thinks, and more importantly, what we can do. Surely this lot have brought the agreement into some sort of dispute.

Mass burning of 1875 chickens at next home game? I'll bring two - one for me and my lad's STs.

And if there's still no joy then boycotting KFCs... then all chicken based products... and if we keep on being ignored, plus being slagged off by the likes of Mr Kentaro Nicholas on Soccer Saturday etc, we need 1875 deaths by way of hunger strikes.

We need a plan B. This is Genious.

We could also all book our holidays in Poon next year and pitch tents outside Venkyville ;)

WE ARE THE 99%

Many business in blackburn would be affected if Rovers go down. Not just indian businesses.

Well marches, banners, chants, idiiotic plane stunts, yellow t-.shirts, same colour as away kit have achieved.nothing. So all options have to be considered.

Even false publicity about money. Have not moved venkys to act. Venkys still here, so is Kean (for now) So what next, plastic.chickens thrown onto pitch.

Again somehow you need the town to get involved.

Where do we go from here? How do we get everyone involved? How do you get people to ficus on Venkys, as ultimately they will be the one who pulls the trigger, but if they aint there will protest against them have any effect?

I have been struck by the recent strategy proposed by EIT.

I would suggest you consult with him to see if you think he's on the right lines.

Sorry but you are wrong - over 99% of the Aisan population are of Pakistani dissent.

Don't mean to be rude but have you actually ever been to Blackburn?

Where did you pluck those figures from? The last time they were counted approx 14.5% Indians and 11.5% Pakistanis helped to make up the population of Blackburn...these figures would probably be slightly higher now too.

Jhc ... The people and businesses on the ranges don't give a flying nan about rovers! Enlighten me if you know better.

I have said many businesses will be affected if Rovers go down. These may not like football. Many away supporters sometimes and spend the day in blackburn, before & after the match. Away support would be reduced. Rovers have supporters who travel from all over country, as well as over seas. These could turn away. The attendance at ewood park would drop dramatically. That in itself would effect the local economics. The cost of relegation would not just effect the club, but the town as well. Sadly the latter are.ignorant to that.

You said it needed Indians in Blackburn .

Then I should make it clear. The population as a whole need to made aware of the consequences to the town, of Rovers going down. That would increase the protest. Not all Asian folk are opposed to football. We have no idea if any of them have contacts in India. But if there is a minute chance of putting pressure on venkys in India, then it has to be explored. It is maybe scraping the barrel. But what choice do we have. Until venkys feel pressure in India, they will.not act.

Since the protests are being stopped for a 'goodwill gesture' (what did you get? (That's not a bribery accusation)) would it be possible for this to be made public before the weekend?

We all know exactly what will happen we'll get a cheeky win, no protests or chanting will occur and Coco will claim he's won the fans round.

Can I also ask who suggestted this? the protesters? Or the club?

I don't think it matters either way what's said in the press or by Beano now.

If they were going to sack him due to the protests they would have by now.

I truly think they'll only sack him if and when they have someone agree to replace him and I think that's always been the case.

Supporters meeting with Kean with no PR ,

Supporters meeting with Board , key individuals outside of BRFC like councillors, Wayne Wild ETC This is uncut, minuted and agenda set by us, with the questions people have put up and down messgage boards, raised at open supporters meeting, and have emailed to me.. Proposals also put to board which again have been put together by all those who put them forward.

We have agreed to postpone the organised element of the protest on these grounds, and on our terms. This of course won't stop a spontaneous protest, but nothing is being organised for the next two matches

Off course it matters what's said in the press it's one of the main methods of communication with Pune.

Here's what will happen, they'll stop, we'll win (obviously it all hinges on this), he'll make the claim and we'll be labelled fickle for the forseeable. Any protests that occur in the future will be easily dismissed in the papers by citing the stop and b y claiming we only boo when we're losing. So in the future Jerome, Coco, Agnew et al will call their mates and ask them to print it. So since our decision makers live in Pune and only speak to the afore mentioned ones and read the papers to keep abreast of feelings around the club they'll always be getting mixed or false messages. You see from what you've said above I assume that you believe they are looking for someone, I don't believe that and don't believe they will until there is absolute condemming evidence against Coco. The trouble is they trust Coco et al, so I'd ask this if your read in the paper that your mate had been a naughty boy and then he tells you face to face (this is the clincher) that it's 100% absolute tosh, who would you believe?

If the reasoning is not made public now, then any future protests will be ineffective unless it's 100% of the fans and absolute vitriol.

I ask who requested this as if the fans then they are commiting suicide if the above isn't heeded (obviously we have to win), if the club asked then the above for me would hold good water given some of the chess moves we've witnessed by the club so far to stop them.

Here's the thing I think it would take about 1 hour to get another manager in that's how desirable the role is, it's a shot at the premier league. This is what most players/coaches/managers dream off achieving people will jump at it, and also because of the mindset you need to be in football they'll believe they can do it. They are not looking they may have asked but nothing more.

I take it there will be metal detectors at the Kean meet? fair play, are the details of the Kean meet allowed to be made public?

Can I assume that given you have said that you agreed to this, that it was the club that originally suggestted this?

What happens if "the club" agree to meet following your completion of the "two match truce" but then renege or are too busy or distracted to meet with you? Or if there are spontaneous protests will "the club" believe you have reneged and again call it off?

Or will the meeting take place next week?

Married to Linda Walker, used to have a home in Pleasy, daughters went to Westholme and son to Qegs. All the children went off to uni/other activities a while ago and I'm not sure they even kept the house in Pleasington.

Can I ask what is the point in a meeting with kean?

Is this the agenda:

1 introductions

2 apologies

3 Steve will you step down as rovers manager? Answer = no

4 date of next meeting - tba

Getting a little tired of people saying it is about communication etc etc etc. It's not at all, it's about having a competent manager.

If they had appointed average Joe with premier league management capabilities and we were mid table then i wouldn't be listening out for any communications from owners, chairman, deputy CEOs.

The fact is venkys appointed and promoted an incompetent person way over his level of ability and now won't admit the mistake.

Sack kean, appoint mr 'I have some managerial experience' and I would gladly not want to hear anything from venkys or CEOs again.
