To be fair to glen, simon etc they have to take the meeting. All along everyone has agreed that there hasn't been enough communication from the club. The supporters would look like fools to turn down meetings when they are arranged.

Glen like many others here I am nervous of what kean will come out with after the meeting. You have to release the first statement to the press after the meeting. This should stop the bald idiot from spinning things.

Since the start this is how he kept the high ground with the press, he strikes first.

If you do have something on the fool push it stright to the forefront and release it to the media once the meeting is concluded.

I understand the logic of not holding an organised protest this week but everyone heading to ewood must get their point across. Win, lose or draw kean will never be good enough for our club.

I've backed Glenn 100% on protests so far. The job he has done is commendable, has taken a lot of his free time, has been stressful, and he has been physically and verbally threatened off "fans" for his efforts.

However, I really, really do worry about this decision. It may well be in the best interests of the club that there are better lines of communication, however thats not what the protests are about. Glenn has said millions of times he isn't a "leader", but an organiser. Well from speaking to the people I know, the majority seem to think chatting to Kean is the worst decision made so far by protesters. History states that Glenn will do everything he believes is right for the protesters, however I really have my reservations about this one. I'm 90% sure we'll look back and see this as a major major own goal.

Another couple of things -

Why are we refusing to protest before the meeting? Who says this meeting will even happen? How many times have we heard this now. It seems we're "giving" him a game of peace, and potentially could get nothing back for it.

Also, can someone confirm NOBODY from Venky's will be attending this weekend? How much of a nightmare would it be if Venkys have a rep here, while we all play happy families. We'd be right back at the start, and thats the exact trick I expect from Coco.

PS: How amazing would it be if someone else organised a protest? I bet Kean would have a heart attack.

No one needs to. If we go behind it will kick off again

Granted nobody needs too, but it would be great if the back page of the LT was "Protests Postponed", the day after they had to print "Protests Back On".

I will certainly take all these comments on board and discuss as I always do with Simon and the people who are going to be meeting with Kean, supporters concerns about such a meeting with Kean taking place....

Obviously if we did now decide not to meet Kean we would of course give the reasons why, This meeting is next week and we have plenty of time to change our minds, This is certainly not a PR spin from club, as we have been the ones requesting the meeting and fighting very hard to get it.

No doubt I will speak with many supporters at the game tomorrow in the pub etc as usual and see what the general consensus is away from BRFCS, I'm already gauging the twitter response, Facebook and other supporter sites, but its also fair to say not everyone uses the net.

We have come far too far to make a judgement error, and always way up the pro's and cons. A typical example of this was the Swansea match,

We had considered and proposed that we had party for that match to show publically that we are 100% behind the team, I asked supporters especially on FB how they would feel about forgetting Venkys and Kean for one day, and if they was up for a blue and white day, (retro shirts etc) to lift the atmosphere and try and give the team an extra 5% to try and win the match. The majority did not want to, and were adament that Kean OUT was far more important. I did warn against negative press should rovers have won that match ( Which I was confident they would) However people said this made no difference.

On the day we won, and afterwards was slated for protesting, I always take the supporters who are protesting opinions on board and plan with the majority's thoughts, Even if they are against my own.

I'm not daft and certainly not a rabbit in the headlights, Before someone ask, "Why have you cancelled organised protest then?" My answer is simple, if people are not happy they don't need people to organise something for them to vent that unhappiness, Planning a protest is very time consuming and regardless of what is planned or not planned, we always get opposition to it. We can't suit all and get grief whatever we do.

Can I ask WHY you feel you need to meet Kean?

We want the bugger out, what do you actually think you are going to learn?

He's going to spin you, just like he has by crowing today about the protests being postponed.

Where was the consultation with fans about it?

I still don't understand the meeting with Kean.

I don't think meeting with the club officials will make any difference, however I can see the logic behind meeting them and have no issue with that.

Why Kean, though? What is he going to be told or shown that he doesn't already know? He isn't naive, he knows exactly how poor his record is and he'd have to be an idiot beyond belief to not know how the fans feel. I appreciate meeting with Kean might be a cathartic process for those who do vent at him, but I don't see collectively what we will gain.

Glen/Simon I think you are doing a really great job. However I am concerned that the meeting with Kean will have a negative effect on the supporters who want to see the club survive.

If you wonder why then just look at this story in todays Daily Express. It is an absolute disgrace and an insult to all fans and in particular what Glen and Simon have done. But this is what happens when Kean's spin kicks in. He has no idea about humility, integrity or honesty. All the meeting will do is produce another series of spin and lies.

Steve Kean's Peace Bid

'hopefully it will end the cowardly personal nature of the attacks on Kean which have led him to tell his children to stay away from Ewood Park.'

I don't think it's been explained well at all to be honest. Glen "taking everyone's comments on board" seems to consist of just repeating what they are doing without explaining why the meeting with Kean is taking place. "Aces up sleeve" comments are making the FF seem like the paragon of transparency. Whatever bits of paper he has, Kean will just front it out and say "publish it then, and I'll sue you, your wife and kids into a homeless shelter."

Also the constant nudge nudge wink wink references to it's only the ORGANISED element being postponed is heading to be a further own goal. If, as is most likely, the natives are revolting at the West Brom match, the club will quite rightly say what the **** are they negotiating with him for since he can't deliver the only thing they want, which is peace and quiet.

Direct, unrelenting pressure on the decision-makers with one single-minded goal we all agree on: Kean Out

I'm done thinking about this issue.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for your comments and i for one thought you where doing a fantastic job with regards to the protests. I am saddened though by your potential meeting with Steve Kean.

We all know by now what sort of bloke Kean is and we all know that no matter what you discuss Kean will have his own views and also put quite a bit of spin on what you have to say.

First of all why has it come to this? Why oh why is our club being run in this way? No other club would arrange meetings in this way and there would always be a chief exc to come out and converse with the fans.

I simply cannot understand Glenn why after months of planning and protesting do you now feel it right to stop and talk? Where will the talking lead?

We all want Kean out it's plain and simple and now i feel that having taken the protests so far that you should have stook to your guns and continued as this way you're making this whole senario look like a playground squabble and this will only reflect bad on us and not Kean.

I think people need to lay of Glenn here, if people want to carry on protesting then go for it. No one is stopping you. Personally I am glad that a dialogue has opened between the fans and the club.

Also with regards to having a meeting with Kean, some PNE fans had a meeting with Brown and that didn't help him. Agent Brian Laws had a meeting as well with the fans and he was sacked shortly after.

The meeting with the fans is a last chance for Kean, he needs to win over the fans (which is probably impossible) but I think it is good that the fans are allowing him to have his say. Whether it does any good or not remains to be seen.

Is it heck a last chance for Kean!! This meeting isn't going to have any impact on him, his compulsive lying and his attitude towards the fans. He's hardly going to resign if Glen and co say that he is disliked!

All this waffle and in the end it will come down to results on the pitch: good wins over West Brom and Bolton followed by an improvement in form over the rest of the season and the protests will go away.

Poor results against WBA and Bolton (anything less than 4 pts) and I would hope for a loud, mass and spontaneous protest from the Ewood faithful.

The time for talk and niceties is over - if they are really passionate about Rovers it's up to the Blackburn Enders to vent their anger.

How they express those feelings is up to them - but in the present circumstances I would say nothing is off limits.

This is a fair enough point, I still believe that Kean will be fired soon but only when they have their man lined up, this will be regardless of protests, meetings and even results to a degree.

If he were to be sacked on the back of the protests he would have by now

If he were to be sacked on the back of results he probably would by now (maybe Arsenal and Swansea saved him there though)

I don't think a meeting will change things either way but as Glen said they have some aces up their sleeve

It will be a very icy day in hell I will ever stop wanting KEAN OUT. Don't care what he wins or how he does it!!!!
