booth Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 2-300 fans outside the players entrance after the game for a good 20 minutes...the sight of Ken Beamish walking down the steps and shaking his head at the fans was a disgrace. I really do fear we have lost our club for good. I strongly suspect he may have been shaking his head at the situation, not the fans themselves. Bear in mind some of the folks behind the scenes have never seen anything like this in decades and probably don't agree with it.

dazmaz Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 The only way to have an effect on the owners now is to actually disrupt the games. Once Sky start getting narked because games are not going on nicey nicey as scheduled, questions may be asked. What shape this should take i'm not sure, but pitch invasions seem the only way to me. Any other protests are ignored clearly. Sadly I don't think the majority of our fans cant be assed to do anything. At the very least I would like to see everyone with an anti venky banner and vociferous chants against them. Even booing whenever the venky advert came up on the hoardings. The passion has gone from the players and most of the fans as far as I can see. The sooner the money meltdown happens the better. As has been said before, Going past the barrier and into the playing area is illegal, not only will it land you a £1000 fine, but could even land you with a rather long banning order. You will never get enough people to boycott to have an effect, hell we only have 1-2000 who bother protesting. On todays protest, as it was unorganized, it is legally classed as a riot
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 18, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted December 18, 2011 So, this meeting with Kean going ahead then? It will probably achieve as much as he has since being manager of BRFC.
Sparky Marky Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I wouldnt give the priick any time of day....the meeting must be cancelled by the fans...do the right thing glenn and show them you mean business and dont engage the club until this parasite has gone..... Id be hard pressed not to chin the illegitimate.
ABBEY Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I come close to going on the pitch yesterday!
Bluefudge Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I come close to going on the pitch yesterday! They couldn't arrest and ban 500 of us, if 1 went on I'd bet hundreds would follow !!
Beta Ray Bill Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I've got to the point where I don't care if Kean goes or not. It's too late, we're screwed. I agree, the point of no return went weeks ago. Yesterday was just the final curtain. However, I do care that Kean goes as it would spare us all his idiotic comments and his detestable posturing. That is making the inevitable even more painful.
arbitro Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I wouldnt give the priick any time of day....the meeting must be cancelled by the fans...do the right thing glenn and show them you mean business and dont engage the club until this parasite has gone..... Id be hard pressed not to chin the illegitimate. I hope this meeting gets cancelled - what is there to gain? Glenn and Co please don't prostitute yourselves. Enough people said that the Pune 9 shouldn't go to India - what's the difference now? Meeting the imposter after the damage he has caused to the fans of thi club is, in my opinion tantamount to treachery. He is still talking about winning the fans over - it beggars belief.
Sparky Marky Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 He is now visibly taking the piiss out of the fans, the club and the legacy that Jack left us... Even the guys on Sunday Supplement are concerned now.
Sparky Marky Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Overpromoted etc...although he was ovrpromoted 12 months ago and nobody gave a tosss then...they make me pisss. The knives are sharpening I feel.
den Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 At least Glen and co can relax now. No need for any more organised protests - that's clear. You can be proud of how you went about the protests Glen, but there's no need any more. The fans will never accept him now. I can only imagine things getting worse, if that's possible.
Bluefudge Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Yesterday most of Ewood woke up, still a few silent ones. But in any situation there are always those who leave it to others. Well done those who made our voices heard, the fuse has been well and truly lit. Stand back for the bang !!!!!!!
booth Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Yesterday most of Ewood woke up, still a few silent ones. But in any situation there are always those who leave it to others. Well done those who made our voices heard, the fuse has been well and truly lit. Stand back for the bang !!!!!!! Sadly yesterday I was witness to a woman, with a child on her knee, another child beside her decide to have a go at three people (I suspect a family) for joining with the Kean Out chant. The woman wouldn't shut up, and then her husband said something threatening saying to this group that their kids couldn't see because they were standing (they actually stood up for a goal chance, along with the rest of the stand!) So the eldest of these three folks who were taking some stick decided to try and get to the guy. His family pulled him back. Then when it had all died down the woman was still shouting stuff at them. I mean as if you start arguing with people and issuing threats when you have two very young children with you I feel sorry for those two kids, they looked terrified. What an absolute disgrace.
Bluefudge Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Booth, It should never be fan against fan, witnessed stuff myself in the Darwen end, happily that ended in a handshake. What I meant by 'woke up' was that the crowd are now I'd say 90% against the management, it's just a matter of when he goes and the clock is ticking......
roverandout Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 when rovers went 1-0 down the guy in front of me joined in with the kean out chants, the nob behind me started saying something to him, the guy in front of me turned around and said 'are you talking to me?' and the guy behind me said 'yes' then he told the guy behind me to eff off, i was also chanting for kean out and when i looked at him he said nothing to me. this guy behind me is the guy if some of you remember the one who stormed off and came back 10 minutes later when the plane went over ewood a few weeks back, with people cheering it, i reckon this is the scumbag who decked glen, ewood park is fast becoming a cauldron of hate!!!
J*B Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I think "decked Glen" is slightly silly statement to make. First because he hardly "decked" him, he swang for him and slightly (and I mean slightly) caught him. And secondly because it was Glenn, not Glen.

Lol, you have lost me, Yes a guy took a swing, never really made a contact bar his ring catching me a little, he has since been warned off for the next 12 months, Didnt know the other Glenn also been swung at
Backroom Tom Posted December 18, 2011 Backroom Posted December 18, 2011 I think he mixed up his Glenn / Glens
Amo Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Why is this such a problem for people? Glenn - BRFCS admin. Glen - Protest guy. Simples.
J*B Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 How embarrassing, it seems I mixed up the Glenn/Glen's! Either way, lets not give the mug any recognition whatsoever. He didn't deck anybody.
roverandout Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 ok sorry didnt mean any offence, took a swing then, just saying i think it might be the same guy

What I fail to understand is the general confrontational nature of the anti-protester types. These people seem to be prepared to use physical violence and verbal abuse aimed at silencing the people who want rid of the worst and most disliked Rovers manager in recent memory. Odd.

Simple. Should tell them to sit in the family stand. Personally cant believe the number of young kids in the bbe.
Steve Moss Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 . . . Then when it had all died down the woman was still shouting stuff at them. I mean as if you start arguing with people and issuing threats when you have two very young children with you I feel sorry for those two kids, they looked terrified. What an absolute disgrace. When I attended English soccer games last year, I was appalled at the language used in the presence of kids. The exception with the Rochdale v Lincoln match where half the attendees were children and it looked and they acted like a very family oriented affair. It also never ceases to amaze me the amount of violence instigated by women. Yes, men do the fighting but the frequency they're egged on by the supposedly gentler sex is distressing. What I fail to understand is the general confrontational nature of the anti-protester types. These people seem to be prepared to use physical violence and verbal abuse aimed at silencing the people who want rid of the worst and most disliked Rovers manager in recent memory. Odd. The self-righteous are usually the first to resort to violence.
