Actually it's BUAV and yes, they can be v. extreme - I joined but left them at uni many years ago due to their extremist tactics. They aren't the worst, though...

Gather together all of the nasty buggers you know from the violent anti animal cruelty scene and make them come down to Ewood for the match v Swansea. Should be a right old laugh.

Taken from the Kean thread:

I'm sure Glen has good sources of information, but I don't believe that this is the case, maybe the brothers are inclined to sack him but he retains Mrs D's support. That is all he needs.

Once again Kamy like others has stipulated that Desai seems to hold all the aces in this falling house of cards that is our club.

Anybody have any thoughts on how we can target her and drag her name through the mud by disgracing her in public as she and her family have done to our club over the past 12 months!

I would like to point out that this is in no way a call to arms for people to be sexist, but she's doing very little to dispel the myth!

I agree that being disgraced in public - preferrably in a medium that her high society friends has easy access to, such as a huge newspaper - would be the only way to make her take notice. Her being ridiculed in an A4 ad in the Pune Gazette probably wouldn't go down too well with her Pune Rotary friends, especially if the ad mentions how she is dragging the reputation of Indian businesspeople through the mud.

The most effective way would be to set up a Paypal account and have the fans donate cash for the ad. I know an ad costs s***loads, but we just might manage (especially if we land a sponsor).

OK, the self styled organisers of the protests really need to get a grip of things and do it quickly. Are posters on this forum really advocating getting the likes of PETA, ALF and BUAV involved in the protests ? Tongue in cheek posts they may have been but highly irresponsible and given these groups involvement in other protests possibly life threatening. Scaremongering it is not, a quick internet search will furnish you with more than enough evidence of these groups activities.

Glen, I ask you. As a protest organiser would you really want your wife, kids and family to be part of the Blackburn End crowd when these lunatics who have no concern for the safety of anyone around them take the protest to a completely different level?

I thought not, so get things sorted and stop it now or are you going to stick with your comment from earlier "I'm asking everyone who attends the game to do their own protest before the match in any way you see fit, this can be inside or outside the ground "ITS YOUR CHOICE"

I just wonder though, considering Prince Charles stance on all things ethical did the Princes Trust people not carefully consider the treatment of livestock before agreeing to have the logo emblazoned across the front of our shirts? I would have thought they did they're homework and had a close look at theVenky business before committing to the deal.

As for me, I know who I would blame if any member of my family got hurt as a result of protest involving these idiots, seemingly endorsed by the statement quoted from Glen above.

You may expect peaceful protest but you have no clue what sort of maniac you are potentially dealing with!

Start it up and you'll get some $'s from me.

Not sure what these groups are, or what they are tbh, I certainly won't be going asking non rovers groups to join the protest, I can't see how that would help.

A lot of fans dnt want organised protest, so for those individuals its really up to them what they wish to do, We have something already organised for the Swansea match and those who take part will remain on the right side of the law, the ones who wish to do their own thing do so at their own risk

Right guys I have a suggestion Nd it's hugely controversial... But I feel it could be the only way for the venkys to listen ie to be shamed into doing something... Too burn the Indian flag and to get it on camera but to ensure we have a big Placard in bold stating 'we are only doing this because you won't listen'???

Great idea, you would only then have about 2 billion Indians worldwide pi55ed of with Rovers and siding with Venkys'

Sorry, there are limits to any protest, this goes beyond that limit. Its not just disrespectful to Venky's but to an entire nation. Thatis upthere with Poppy Burning and we would lose all credibility, im all for ramping up the heat on Venky's but that is too far

"Tongue in cheek", well you said it.

Course it is. I even said we shouldnt go down that route. It's not their fight. Their extremists. As for that EwoodDawn, that's my Mrs so I wouldn't worry too much about PETRA, ALF, ELO or BUPA blowing up the BBE just yet on her account either.

Still aren't we irresponsible eh? The very mention of it. Everyone panic.

So Realist, what do you propose? Fire away... What's your plan to rid ourselves of these ruddy charlatans?

Ricky, thats got to be the one.

I don't understand why this idea of burning the Indian flag keeps coming up... we're not angry with India, we're angry with Venky's, who happen to come from India. If anything has to be burned it should be a flag with Venky's logo on it - surely that would send the message loudly and clearly enough without offending an entire nation of people that have nothing to do with Venky's save being born in the same country as them?

I've been taken back to a time I'd rather forget... the night I let myself finally ackowledge that Rovers were going down under Brian Kidd. I'm ashamed to say I decided to have even more apple juice than I usually allow myself and I got a bit violent. Now, those of you who know me know that I'm not exactly statuesque nor muscle bound, so there was only ever going to be one winner and it wasn't going to be me... Any road, once poor Bob had got a mouthful, I proceded to take out my fury on the upstairs wall of the house we were going to sell a few weeks on from that particular nightmare. Was the wall damaged? Thankfully and quite expectedly, no. Was my foot? What do you guys think? Did Bob laugh - yes but at a safe distance. Did I wander off sheepishly in dismay to bed? Again, what do you guys reckon?

So the moral of this story.... I totally get the people who didn't want to acknowledge just how bad things have got under the Venkys. I was there in 1999. It hurts.

But at least back then it hurt because we knew it was about inept football people.

This time we all know it's different. And that doesn't just hurt - it's a deep, deep sting that you can't soothe.

But the answer isn't violence. I know of groups like PETA, BUAV and ALF just because they were knocking around at my uni years ago but please don't go thinking they'll help on a match day. They have their own agenda as you'll easily see from news reports so don't try asking them to fit in with our aims on a match day. Some of their members are mavericks so they are best left alone.
