NO MORE PROTESTS.

If BRAG attempt another protest anywhere near the ground on a matchday it will show their true colours. The point has been made and it has made no difference, no impact where it matters. This needs to stop now if we are to have the slightest chance of survival next Saturday is crucial.

BRAG have lost the battle. We gave to concentrate on winning on the pitch.

NO MORE PROTEST

"No more protests?" Did you ever start Paul?

Personally not to protest will simply to show that we are all beaten... and to be quite honest I think that is already the case. imo Most are now simply resigned to our fate which imo is a strange attitude coming from the descendents of the luddites and the Accrington Pals I must say.

'If somethings worth having its's worth fighting for'.

Thats out of order, there is no comparison. That was not a pitch invasion that was a planned act of political violence. Topman you shouldn't really need to be told not to use the events in Egypt as an example.

Advocating a pitch invasion during a week where people were killed in one (whatever the motives) is crass, no matter what you say.

How would you know? Answer that?

How many freebies this season have you taken thus season? You refuse to buy an ST which I presume you see as a protest and instead ride on the back of freebies.

Don't you even dare to question me as you are clearly no more than a fair weather fan.

But how?

- Making statements, written or visual haven't work.

- Chants and demonstrations at games have the opposite effect.

- Aiming at where it hurts - Indian business press - has no effect

- A pitch invasion would simply see fans arrested.

And what do we expect to achieve?

- They won't sell and they haven't put any money in.

- They won't replace the inept manager.

We have lost our club, the only thing left if for the fans to come together against Venkys FC.

I'd like to see some kind of statement or action from the Fans Forum members in behalf of all the fans. If this means ultimately mass resignation, so be it. I expect I'll have all of the admin on my back for saying that - "it's easy for me to say", etc - but we now need to be united as fans and formally issue a vote of no confidence in the club's owners.

Btw, the Accrington Pals took up arms (legally) against a common enemy of the allied nations. You have a pop at Topman for a reasonable comment about a very recent pitch invasion in Egypt (however it's politicized) then compare our situation to a World War? Have a word with yourself.

Just IMO I think it might be wise for Glen and Si to sit the QPR game out (in terms of organised protests). Simply because whilst they've done their utmost to keep things above board and keep the peace with both with the police and Rovers' security, I don't think they will be able to keep a lid on their protesters against QPR, given the importance of that game to the eventual league table and passions running so high. And if BRAG's name is associated with that, everything that they've tried to achieve thus far will be obliterated.

BTW didn't know where to put this but had a fantastic/horrible moment a short while ago. We're watching the city match and there was quite an impressive attack, to which my lad piped up, "Hey up!" (or rather "ey oop") Both myself and my husband were brought up with the Lanky twang but were also reminded quite often to "speak proper" when necessary and so didn't inherit the strong accents of previous generations. So my little lad may well have got this from his little mates. It was fantastic to hear such a traditional and brilliant exclamation for excitement but quite tragic to realise that it wasn't about the team we desperately want him to support. Equally tragically he thinks Sergio Aguero is "ace" (some childish adjectives don't change from generation to generation) and so do his mates. How long am I going to keep him into Blackburn Rovers with this on our doorstep and our own backyard in such a disgraceful state?

I haven't seen eye to eye with you over the last few weeks but your post hits the spot.

I think the damage to our club is almost terminal. A new manager? A new owner? What difference would it make? We have become a racehorse destined for the knackers yard.

So a repeat of the crowd scenes vs Bolton in December is what you are looking for?

The organised protests have provided people with a platform off which they can voice their concerns proudly, in a safe manner.

With the organised element in place people can voice their feelings outside of the match time, then get into the ground and get behind the team, urging them on to 3 vital points.

Without the organised element people will be left to voice their discontent during the game when we fall behind.

What protests have you attended theno? How many games have you been to this season? I thought you packed it in, as you keep telling us, you had it all worked out because one of them had a pony tail. There were one or two other clues, I'll give you that!

It is worth fighting for, course it is. It would help if there was actually something there we could bloody fight mind you. All we have is some bloke impersonating a manager and giving the same interview every week. The cowards hide in India. They don't even have the decency to pass comment on their baby anymore. Not a word since 19th November.

The press and media have moved on, yesterday's news, 'poor Blackburn, bit of a mess isn't it?' is more or less where we're at.

So there could be protests, we could march from Blackburn to The Houses of Parliament or The FA. No one cares, the Premier League insist that nothing untoward is happening. We'll just slip away quietly.

I honestly can't see anything changing until they sell and that means relegation and / or administration.

Mind-altering drugs?

Don't worry about our lad. He's no choice. I had a good chat with him at gun point and the Aguero stuff was to do with his fantasy football team he assures me.

Fair dos Peter. I'll admit my frustrations have got the better of me at times.

My view now is simply that the Blackburn Rovers we knew no longer exists and we are watching Venkys FC in its place.

Even if we survive this season, what do we have to look forward to? More of the same next season - at best!

Got to hope that a buyout can take place following relegation and we can return to competing in the second tier. It'll be like Jack never was - but we'll still have the memories.

Worst case I suppose is AFC Blackburn, with home games at Pleasy. Let's hope I'm just being over-emotional.

If people got upset at flowers laid at Jack Walkers statue, just after remembrance day. You may have a point.

There is only one route for the protest to go. It has to hit where venkys feel the pain most. That place is the reason they bought the club in the first place.

They bought the club to lift & promote their venky brand. They will do all.they can to protect their brand.

Therefore it is that which must be hit. Hurt that brand somehow. If that brand suffers, venkys will sell.

By the looks of it Paul seems to think that fan power alone can overcome:

1- The tactical ineptness of the manager.

2- The defensive frailties of the squad.

If fan power had any impact whatsoever then Rovers wouldn't have gone from a solid mid-table side to being almost relegated on the final day of the season. If fan power had any impact then Rovers wouldn't have had the worst start to a season in 80 years or failed to keep a clean sheet all season.

No protests really achieved a lot.

Seems a logical approach.

But wasn't this the whole point of the Economic Times of India piece? Seems to have had no effect whatsoever - as far as we can tell. Although a number of significant people have gone very quiet of late.

Everytime the Venkys advert comes on at Ewood boo until it goes off, then cheer.

Surely their is no longer any point supporting the team.

The ONLY contribution the fans can make now is to help rid the club of the owners whatever that takes.

As it stands I will only be at Ewood until my current ST is done at the end of the season. There is no way I am coming back while Venkys are here no matter what league we are in.

The only good thing today is that we are 1 game closer to new ownership and 1 game closer to the certain administration relegation will bring.

I think this is spot on.

Booing the Venkys ad won't be picked up though. It'll be assumed we are booing some arbitrary player or something daft like that.

How can we seriously damage the Venkys brand - without breaking the law?

Ideas on how to damage the venky brand, legally us something we all need to think of. It is the best way. But how is the question.
