Not feeling this. As stated before, the premise of wearing a T-Shirt when temperatures are dropping below freezing will put a lot of people off. Doesn't seem very well thought out for once. The scarf idea though is brilliant.

No, it's not. It made a mockery of Man. Utd fans and it'll do the same to Rovers. The protests etc. have proven without doubt that Kean + Venky's don't give a flying f*** what the supporters think about them. Tell me, honestly, what you think it will achieve?

The utd scarfs did not go down well at OT. A fair number of fans got a beating for wearing them as the glory hunting day fan bought them as they saw it that it made them a real fan. The Salford loons did not like the fact that people with no idea of why the scarfs were that colour had jumped on the band wagon.....

What it would achieve is that Kean/Venkys couldn't accuse those who want them out of being in the 'minority' which is the response they'll give to any form of protest if only a hundred or so people take part. These protests have been ignored because only a minority of a minority have taken part. It also means that people can 'protest' without having to go particularly out of their way, as opposed to taking part in demonstrations before/after games.

T shirts, im not sure that it'll work. Too many people will be wearing coats.

I'm certainly a fan of doing something like this. My concern, like others, is that people will be wearing coats in the winter and thus covering the t-shirt up. That's way a scarf, which would also prove practical in the cold months ahead, would be more visible. Another problem is that if not enough people buy them or wear them, then it will just be spun that it's only a minority who are protesting again.

It'd be easier for the behind the scenes rats like Agnew and Anderson to spin a coloured scarf into something positive to the owners than it is for them to create positive meaning from a shirt that says 100% Rovers 0% Kean and Venky's.

I've just bought one but lets face it, most rovers fans look at the situation we're in and decide it's easier for them to just do nothing, so it's not going to be a mass thing like United. That's why we need words to express the meaning.

Also, I had to buy a large, this has no chance of taking off if they're only selling them in large, xl and xxl. If we want any hope of getting lots of people to wear them, at least offer them in smaller sizes... I've bought one, but to be totally honest I'm a poor student, and I don't really have £8.50 to spare, especially not for a t-shirt that dont even fit me, no matter what else it stands for.

Poor choice of words & poor choice of colours. :rover:

Scarves is a better idea, and ideally in a non kit colour, red & black - green & black, anything other than Yellow and black or it just looks like official merchandise.

Totally agree.

Any point to this? Or just another gimmick?

Just another gimmick. Most people will be wearing coats at matches. T-shirt in winter??????? Simular colour to the away top - they will just think the club shop has done well recently and the away shirt is popular.

Oh well we are in a recession, somebody will make money out of it. Ironically even protests are giving venkys publicity. The protests are only heard here, not in India.

Until people get the town of Blackburn interested in Rovers plight - that relegation would affect local business etc - India will remain ignorant. Blackburn and the surrounding area has a high Asain population - who are likely to have contacts in India. If Rovers go down, their business will also be affected. Getting these folk involved is essential in my view. They may not like football or Rovers - but they like their business. The town as a whole has to get involved. The people, the media, the MP's, the councilors etc - then a voice will be heard, which would be more than a gimmick.

Alright lads. Great idea on the tshirt but if anyone knows how to contact the guy selling them can you tell him that it's grammatically incorrect.

There should be no apostrophe on Venkys. It doesn't make sense with one.

Not nit picking grammar or anything but if they are going to get media attention I wouldn't want them thinking we're all thick.

Great stuff thought. Keep it coming. I reiterate not having a go just trying to help. If we're going to do something let's do it right.

Actually it is correct, Venky's is their brand name and can be seen in the logo on http://www.venkys.com/

Are enough of these going to be visible on a match day for it to make a difference?

I still think a hand signed petition is the best way forward. It would be irrefutable evidence that it's not just a minority. I just think a gimmick like this will still end up with only a minority participating.

Guys the colour the t-shirts is about visual impact! T-shirts can be worn over coats or jumpers! Many people do this with there rovers shirts! The colour needs to stand out in the crowd. Red, black or blue will just not work! As I said visual impact.

I have enquirer about the scarfs and I hoping to order the first 50 tomorrow! Yellow and black striped scarfs! All profit will go to replenishing the stock if they take off! They will be on eBay for £6:50 + p&p or collect in person
