MarkBRFC71 Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Just got today's Lancs Telegraph but only had chance for a quick flick before leaving for work .... as the thread title suggests Andy Cryer has written an 'open letter' to Mrs Desai. Perhaps someone with it to hand can shed a bit more light as to it's content?

AllRoverAsia Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Just got today's Lancs Telegraph but only had chance for a quick flick before leaving for work .... as the thread title suggests Andy Cryer has written an 'open letter' to Mrs Desai. pedebumchin Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I hope they put it online. Had a look but can't see it yet. I think he said on Twitter that it would be online today sometime.
rog of the rovers Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Just read it. Interesting letter, says pretty much what these message boards have been saying for weeks. Will there be a reply though? I doubt it.
davulsukur Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Something else for Mrs D to throw in the bin. Fair play to Cryer tho for sending it out.
pancini Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Here is Cryers letter to Mrs D http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9382849.Blackburn_Rovers_blog__Open_letter_to_Venky_s/
Gav Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Good effort, credit where credits due, its about time the local paper took a lead on this.
Backroom DE. Posted November 24, 2011 Backroom Posted November 24, 2011 A decent effort, though I don't agree with While we have no doubt Venky’s have Blackburn Rovers’ best interests at heart. I have many doubts in that regard.
forumquizmaster Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Is that the sound of a stable door being bolted? Very good letter but a few months too late - the Telegraph should have been more proactive and not waited until it got to this. Peter White will be turning in his grave!!
3rdpillar Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 BOUT 'F'KIN TIME.... Andy does highlight one VERY important point. ROVERS in the Championship woudld be further econimic disaster for the town of BLACKBURN, not that it has too much to look forward to.
onlyonejackwalker Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 A decent effort, though I don't agree with . I have many doubts in that regard. Better late than never indeed. Cryer has to write in such a way as to maintain relationships and is still clearly hedging his bets. But it's a start....
T4E Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Why wasnt their constant and public support of an underperforming manager raised as one of the key issues??
beerwins Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Better late than never indeed. Cryer has to write in such a way as to maintain relationships and is still clearly hedging his bets. But it's a start.... What relationships? they dont respond to absolutely anything at any lvl, if you ask me they need it both barrels not mollycoddled watered down nonsense.
roverandout Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 dont agree with his point about steve kean is getting the grief because of no public figure etc, kean deserves the grief, its not as if we giving it to him because theres noone else to put the blame on, he is one of the main reasons why there is such discontent amongst the supporters.
Miker Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I have a lot of respect for Andy and, as someone who is a keen media analyst and critic, think he is a top journo in terms of fairness and balance. Huge kudos to him for writing this very appropriate and respectful letter and I hope he gets an appropriate response to pass on to the Blackburn Rovers fans.
yoda Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 dont agree with his point about steve kean is getting the grief because of no public figure etc, kean deserves the grief, its not as if we giving it to him because theres noone else to put the blame on, he is one of the main reasons why there is such discontent amongst the supporters. I think if you read between the lines on this one he is suggesting that there needs to be a leader on site in Blackburn ie a Kenyon type person so that cocco does not have to make all the decisions and report back to chicken HQ personally, If we had a Kenyon type person in situ it would be a great improvement. Cocco would not like it though!
roverandout Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 coco would hopefully be out the door if he did stay and reported to kenyon or whoever else 'oh mr kenyon, they are only a minority, we are playing really well too and our squad is worth more than points' 'right you lying bald headed basket, out the door you go'
yoda Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 coco would hopefully be out the door Thats how I read it
philipl Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Key line from Andy Cryer: There has been interest from potential buyers. Have you been aware of such interest and are you adamant you will not be selling?
Seggie Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 To be fair it's a good letter but should have been done 6 months ago although I can see why the LET and Andy Cryer would want to see the club onside. In other Venky watching News somebody posted this article on Facebook: http://www.in.com/news/current-affairs/fullstory-lavasa-case-all-15-accused-directed-to-appear-in-pune-court-on-jan-30-21423019-in-1.html Does anyone know the truth or seriousness of it because it could possibly explain why she wants rid of the club and is neglecting it? Also why does everyone refer to her as "Mrs Desai" it seems to imply a bit of respect for her? She should be referred to as Desai, we never referred to John Williams as Mr Williams and we liked him or Jack as Mr Walker.
