It was embarrasing watching the game today. Make no doubts about it Stoke are a team out of form, the first twenty minutes or so showed this. Stoke didn't play well in today's game they barely got out of second gear. Sometimes you don't mind getting beat by a fully fired up Stoke team at the Britannia. But this wasn't the case, Stoke had four chances all game, they took three and the other was a glaring miss from Huth. When Kean says "We need to tighten up at the back" it may be one of the few sentences that actually isn't a lie, ten shots on target? really? Even the correct statmenet is an understatement tighten up at the back, well hasn't that been obviously all season. Our defense leaks goals like it's out of fashion, just poor basic defending errors (the first and third) and the second did take a deflection but again the shape of the team was all wrong with too many players caught high up the pitch.

I really don't know what we have to do to get rid of Kean, most people have wanted rid of him for a while the final nail in the coffin for me was the Man City home game. Imagine a lot of people thought that and if anyone left remained they must surely think that Kean most go now. No rational football person would say that Kean should still be in charge. Yet our deluded owners show no signs of giving Kean the boot. I really don't know what it's going to take for him to go, maybe a heavy loss against Cardiff? or a heavy loss at home to Swansea? With the way we defend it's only a matter of time before we really get hammered against a good side, Stoke didn't beat us today we beat ourselves with poor defending.

Sad as it may seem I hope we get hammered against Cardiff, maybe then we'll have a proper manager in for the now crucial, season-defining four "winnable" games coming up. But I won't be holding my breath about. If this plonker is still in charge for the Swansea game, it's time to give him hell and plan something more effective than a simple peaceful protest.

If fans really wanted to get rid of him - it's easy. Nobody turn up next match. Even Venbkys would see the light then. Of course we won't do that because we care and we want to do our bit. The trouble is - we are caught between two stools. We don't want to hurt the team and we don't want to support Kean/Venkys. It's this muddle that will take us down. If you want to make a difference, stand up and roar when the buggers walk on to the field against Swansea.

It's not really easy at all, Tony. Venky's are insulated in Pune, they're frectured over whether to even keep the club. Fans are deserting anyway, but to ensure barely anyone turned up, how do you suggest that is organised? How do you arrange for all these thousands of different people to act in concert like that.

And I see you've gone full circle to the "Get behind 'em FFS!" mentality. As I've said before, we're in such a pickle I genuinely feel it would make no difference.

In any case, I think your thinking is confused. What should we do? Abstain from attending or shout and bellow for the team? Because we can't do both.

FSN, Fox Soccer Network's Warren Barton said this is probably it for Kean, it's got to be, that game was too one-sided. They are talking about it now.

I doubt even bottom of the league is enough to get him out. Listen to tomorrow's podcast for the possible reason why. It should be ready on Sunday.

If he doesn't think he needs to change anything apart from some vague guff about trying to 'close the back door' and he still thinks 'we arent getting what we deserve' than nothing can possibly change.

We are getting EXACTLY what we deserve because we cannot defend or compete in midfield. It is fecking obvious and an insult to anyone that has ever watched or played football that he can keep spouting the same nonsense every week.

Arghhhhhh :angry2:

The absolutely nailed-on reason why Kean is despised so much, in my opinion. Most of us may not have played premier league football but still have a pretty firm grasp of the basics of the game, unlike Kean.

It's just my opinion of course. I think that I have every right to express that no matter where I live???

As you haven't been part of a Rovers crowd (I presume) recently, you will not have witnessed the fantastically patient support the players have received. There certainly hasnt been any 'you're not fit to wear the shirts' style chants, they have always received warm applause- certainly wouldn't be the case at many clubs, yet that imposter and those owners are finally getting both barells and they richly deserve it.

So no, you have no right to deride our fans, who in the circumstances have been fantastic.

Don't worry he and the team will be working hard to get things right on the training ground this week.

He is an inept, lying, conniving, deceitful little ###### ######..... and the Venkeys are even worse! :angry2:

Well done Kean you waste of skin, flesh and bone.

I may love Rovers more than I hate you but at the moment the latter is being prioritised for the good of the former. We are going down no matter what with this puppet in charge so the protests MUST go on at all times.

I cannot remember a time so frustrating as a rovers fan as now. The problem is kean, the answer is sack him and get a proper manager in. Martin O Neil is sat with his thumb up his arse doing jack all.

Why won't the owners do it?

Difficult to say given our position but I'd rather have O'Neills thumb in charge than the pair of them.

tonyoz is a guy whose probably never been to a game in his life so why should you care? us season tickey holders on the other hand pay our hard earned money, so yes we have every right to protest.

Hmmm.............you are the third guy in 30 minutes to question my right to post my opinions. Is this what the site has become?

I have said many times that you have the right to protest if you feel so inclined. That doesn't mean that I have to agree with you of course. I have the right to argue that you are misguided. Or, at least I thought I had.

the genius himself.. what a ###### liar

Argh... I know interviewers have to be objective n' all, but I wish someone would call him out on a results whenever he comes with drivel about "performances" and "balance of play".

Also, he's continued use of 'we' instead of 'our' really pisses me off.

I can't believe what this clown is coming out with in whose eyes have we played well? In his dreams?.

That was the most inept performance from a premiership team in ages if this clown is not gone after this I give up this team are playing like a blue sq. prem team.

Defence is a total shambles I agree next week against Swansea there has to be a riot.

I can't for the life of me understand coco bought Ribeiro,Anderson,Vucevic,Petrovic and yet none of them seem to get a game so presumably all these players bought in are a waste of money? and certain players don't even make the 16! beggars belief really.

Does anyone agree the imposter brings his subs on too late I mean Roberts coming on for last 10 mins why not bring him on on 50-55 mins? what does he expect him to do in 10mins?

I have noticed a pattern happened for several months now does coco not know you can bring on 3 subs? so why for months now does he only bring on 1 sub? also for all his hard work Roberts has never been a regular goalscorer whereas a game like this Vucevic would have made an impact so why not use him they could even have bought him on for N'Zonzi who seems to be taking lessons from the Kevin Nolan book of complaining at ref aT least vucevic would have given us more creativity.

kamy for the good of everyone please give us some good news in the podcast tommorrow surely all the negativity must move away from our club and engulf someone else's team.

I think looking at his interview he is living in the false reality he thinks we should have got 3 points at QPR funny that after attending the game at Loftus Road after QPR scored they were never going to score again their play was so poor if he threw on an extra striker we would have finished them off but it seems as though he is totally incapable of making subs to affect a game as well as setting up a defence not to concede totally fed up after today

  • Backroom
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce: "It sums us up at home for the last four or five weeks. I can't keep coming out here and say we've created a few chances. We're not taken them chances.

If only Kean had this type of honesty, might take a little of the hatred away many have for him (myself included).

With all due respect you can post all the opinions you like, but if you're mailing in your views from afar with no direct knowledge of how the team are being supported, supplemented by what you're told by the media and what you see on television, you've got to expect them to be treated with little credibility.

It's nothing to do with the site, the site is just a platform for the fans. And many who do go to the matches will see what you're saying as criticizing the fans. As someone said earlier, the fans have been extremely patient all things considered.

can anyone tell me why

when we are away at stoke and play a five man midfield and we only play one ball wining midfield player

A question that has been glaringly obvious all season...... especially given the impact that the two Jones made last spring! The two most influential players in our despearte relegation scrap from last season have gone and not been replaced.

Every week my decision not to buy a ST last May has been more than justified. As I foresaw this season has become just a catalogue of lies, deceit and inept management. Soccer suicide.

The thing that frustrates me the most is that this is probably the worst Premier League ever. It seems the quality has fallen as wages have gone up.

There are so many poor teams. We have a reasonable squad and with a half decent manager we would be sitting comfortably in the top half of the table. I am not saying we are world beaters but looking at other teams our squad seems better than at least 6 other clubs. Make no mistake the table does not lie and with Kean in charge we are the worst team in the league.

The problem is Kean can't manage. He talks about the player being behind him but I not sure about that as the last two games have shown a drop off in performance. Hoilet looks like he has lost interest and Nzonzi showed signs today of lack of discipline which indicate he is starting to lose interest.

He talks about playing football. But to me it looks like we are playing BFS hoofball without a defence. How many times is he going to go back to the training ground to sort out the defence.

Hi Bryan. I admit, it's crap. I don't know if it will make a difference but I can't see an alternative. I think we have to show the faith. Showering the team with negativity from the terraces week after week just seems so depressingly pointless.
