booth Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Actually is it not a human right to be able to wear a t-shirt of your choice?
EwoodDawn Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Actually is it not a human right to be able to wear a t-shirt of your choice? So if you went into the ground with your coat done up, then removed your coat to show your T-shirt in all it's glory, would a steward be forced by his bosses to try to eject you? Sorry, but some of the poor stewards near where I sit in the Blackburn End might not be physically capable of that. And if he/she asked me to remove my T-shirt, well they'd be on very dodgy ground there, wouldn't they?
Rovermatt Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Human rights protect you from state oppression. Your behaviour (or indeed your garb) on what is essentially private property is subject to something quite different.
DanLad Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Human rights protect you from state oppression. Your behaviour (or indeed your garb) on what is essentially private property is subject to something quite different. I'm no expert on this, but if we are entering the arena of civil law wouldn't there be breach of contract issues, potentially? Can a football club expel you from the ground just because they want to? Can the FA do the same? Can Sky?
Pickering Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 It would be interesting to see if security attempt to do anything if thousands of fans wear the yellow and black t-shirts at the next game
broadsword Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 If true, that's absolutely unbelievable. How about if you wore a Rovers shirt but had a patch saying "Kean Out" over the sponsor's name, could they eject you for that?
bannedwidth Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 I can`t believe that I could possibly be watching Rovers here at Cheltenham in just 2 years. Its a slippery slope and we are sliding. We've already slid off the slope and are in free fall. No way back now, game over.
Kelbo Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Unfortunately, in any business, shops, pubs or whatever, the management have the right to refuse admission! Wrong it maybe but I understand that to be the law, Preston Blue would be the man to ask!!
roverandout Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 didnt play that badly today but as usual the same end product, zero, KEAN OUT!!!
cn174 Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Any truth in the rumours people were ordered to take off/ cover up the protest t-shirts at the request of the FA / Sky TV? I dunno about the tshirt thing, but the stewards were incredibly quick to run up and get take the big banner off people near the back in the first half. :@
Waggy76 Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 I agree with the rest of your post but I have to say that there are chants for Givet during a games. Rovers till I die is another one. N'Zonzi got sang about today. Nay no never. And I don't see what's wrong with chanting There's Only One Jack Walker. It's a bit annoying that people are having a go at the fans when there's so many other issues at the moment. It's also not constant negative chanting. And it seems to be people who can't get to the games who are perpetuating this myth and pretty much none of it is directed at the team. That isn't directed totally at you Miker btw. There are still people out there who think the imposter will pull it round....Last season we just about on the last day stayed up .....This year we are going down ..Common denominator KEAN
EwoodDawn Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Thought we needed more debate on the T-shirt topic out of the Stoke away thread so made a new one. Hope you don't mind.
booth Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Did I hear him correctly... "Peppered the goal." ?!?! I'm just aghast. Is he aware that there are cameras and people watching the same thing he is?
gumboots Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Did I hear him correctly... "Peppered the goal." ?!?! I'm just aghast. Is he aware that there are cameras and people watching the same thing he is? As usual MOTD fail to say anything relevant about the match and totally ignore mthe fans discontent while going on about Sunderland probably sacking Bruce
mjs Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 didnt play that badly today Pleae tell me you are being sarcastic.
cesus Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 I heard the same thing too! 'Peppered their goal'I remember 2 shots from Rochina that needed saving. I'm gutted I've bought Cardiff tickets, paying for a hotel and fuel to watch this team. I seem to have lost all the fight in me!
booth Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 didnt play that badly today but as usual the same end product, zero, KEAN OUT!!! Sorry matey, we were absolutely awful today. "Peppered the goal" ?!?! Can someone explain how Kean saw us "pepper the goal"? Unless someone quite literally went with a pepper pot and sprinkled condiments around the Stoke goal.
sharpysharps Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 I remember 2 saves from Sorensen at 3-0 and 3-1 and a clearance off the line at 1-0 that i'm not sure was going in or not. I wouldn't call that peppering. If anyone needs 'peppering' its Steve Kean. I just don't understand how a section of fans can still give the guy time. Its been 30 odd games and had those all been in 1 season then Blackburn Rovers would have been easily relegated by now. There is clearly something corrupt going on behind the scenes in my opinion or this man would have never got the job permanently in the first place. I feel that come the Swansea game if Rovers go 1 nil down you can expect it to turn ugly. Enough is enough.
broadsword Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Unless someone quite literally went with a pepper pot and sprinkled condiments around the Stoke goal. Maybe that attracts moisture and increases the dew on the grass?
brian_gallagher85 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Unfortunately, in any business, shops, pubs or whatever, the management have the right to refuse admission! Wrong it maybe but I understand that to be the law, Preston Blue would be the man to ask!! The law is the law, but they also have to have a valid reason in which to do so. I don't think they do in this occasion. There are dark forces at work both inside and outside the club that want us out of the Premier League quickly and quietly.
Backroom Tom Posted November 27, 2011 Backroom Posted November 27, 2011 Ok bit of help, Kean says keeper made 5 or 6 great saves, I remember: Rochina from distance last minute Then 2 shots straight at him. Any advances?
booth Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 You on the wacky mate...? Someone's been smoking something. "Peppering the goal." Did I watch a different game to Steve Kean?
Sparky Marky Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 The law is the law, but they also have to have a valid reason in which to do so. I don't think they do in this occasion. There are dark forces at work both inside and outside the club that want us out of the Premier League quickly and quietly. Why do you think that? Is the league complicit in this..? I think it helps them if they can replace us with a ' bigger' club.
