I hope everyone who went last night applies for a refund one way or the other. They went to see a competitive match, not a forfeit, as Kean claims it was. A real foot in mouth comment from the imposter.

I've emailed Paul Hunt and requested a refund on my tickets as well as travel costs. It's only fair that the club offer a full refund if the match was forfeited.

Right behind your stance here mate.

Just a thought -

Could everyone that went last night and wants a refund and to complain all copy their emails to one central source for them to be collated into one document and sent in to the club? This could be copied to a number of national media outlets. Surely that would put this "we only receive positive mail" crap to bed.

The "forfeit" comments have angered me beyond belief. Enough to sign up the forum to vent some of this anger.

You would think, considering the sensitivity present at the game after the tragic death of Gary Speed, that you would think twice about using such words as "forfeit" when referring to a cup tie in Wales...

An absolute mess, an embarrassment. That picture of the two LET back pages sums it all up. This has got to end, but it won't. Never felt so low with Rovers.

I have just sent an email requesting a refund on costs incurred and the ticket price to Mr Hunt.

Will gladly send a copy to someone if we this up.

Its interesting that his latest comments could do more damage than all the protests have done so far, that’s not hammering the protests in any way, but this man had hopefully hung himself after those comments.

Credit to Andy Cryer also for printing the idiots comments.

Kean's comments about a forfeit are a total disgrace, but clear evidence that his constant lies are catching up with him and he says what he thinks will give him the most justification for being sh*te at the time he says it. What happended to being focused on winning a cup Stevie?.

I have every sympathy with the travelling fans who have been conned out of parting with their money....BUT....this could give Venkys a nice little P.R. coup if they did reimburse the costs of tickets and would lead to weeks of no-nothing / SEM client T.V. pundits spouting about how this proves they know what they are doing and care about the fans. Just a thought.

I wonder what the rules are about deliberately meaning to lose. Who does not draw Cardiff in the next round could have a case against Rovers. Especially when you consider the money involved for a two legged semi final etc etc etc

I will leave it up to you guys to decide if this is a decent idea or not, but in the interest of saving time I have set up an email address for mails to be copied to if those concerned decide to.

Forward or copy mails to [email protected]

What a fool kean is. The comments about forfeiting the game are just excuse making as we didn't play that much of a diffeent side than in previous rounds. We had the same back 4 as Saturday and, without N'zonzi, the same central midfield. Hardly a reserve team was it? He will be telling the owners that the cup isn't important and using the media to put this message across as he always does. What a clown! If this contributes to his demise then great. I laughed at his mention of a handball for the 2nd goal, even the people of TV were laughing at this. It happened a couple of minutes before but by Kean's logic you could say every incident after the first mistake in any game wouldn't have happened without the first mistake if you take it to these extremes. Whatever side he picked it is alarming if a team picked form his squad can't hold it's own against Cardiff.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the naive, self-serving comments about forfeiting the game made by Steve Kean. Sometimes it is understandable to say that you put a team out to protect players who are recovering from injury i.e. you don't choose to gamble on a players fitness as the game is less important than the week-end. However it is also reasonable to say that the team represents the strength of the squad and that it should still be good enough and motivated enough to succeed against Cardiff.

It is insulting to any fan who chose to follow the Rovers to Cardiff.

Anyone who has seen my previous posts know that I am not in favour of the protests and that I was a long-suffering defender of Kean in that I thought it was better to stick with him and hope he turned it round rather than sack him.

However the last three games and this banal comment has pushed me to join the 'time to go' group. In the words of Dragons Den - 'for that reason, I'm out'

It may well be that the owners back him and that funds are made available in January. If so we will have to batten down the hatches and hope we can ride out the storm. I seriously doubt that Steve Kean will ever get support from the Rovers fans now - no matter what the results are.

Went with my best mate and my old man last night. To wake up to this is absolutely disgusting. I'm heading down to Ewood park to ask for a refund or to speak to someone about how I go about it. If by some act of god Mr Kean crosses my path whilst down there then... God help him.

I'm supposed to be on strike today... Sure don't feel like it.

As well you should. Appalling treatment of the fans yet again with even more lies.

My only concern with the refunds is that the press could put a spin on it if the club do issue refunds. This really is a living nightmare.

I don't think barcleys bank would be happy Rovers threw the match last night. After all income from a 2 legged semi, possible wembley final, possible qualification for uefa.

Then there is the bookies etc.

Kean has just admitted match fixing. This has to be reported and pursued. Players wouldn't be happy either. Of all the places, wales, to do this, of all the times when folk are thinking about Gary Speed, Rovers, according to Kean threw a match. Absolutley disgusting.

I hope Andy Cryer takes this up and writes how disgusted we are about this attitude from Kean. Every other manager will loathe what Kean has said.

I dont buy this forfeit talk at all, he is saying forfeit because the players simply did'nt play for him.

How often do you send your players out early after half time in a match you wanted to lose? How many times has he banged on this year about winning a cup?

The guy is full of crap, he has lost the dressing room and forfeit is a just a way of saying we were rubbish and I could'nt get the players to perform.

IMO Kean has said "forfeit" without thinking of the consequences of using that word. I don't think he literally means we did or intended to throw the match... however he is saying that he rested players and maximum chance of progression was 'forfeited' because of the importance of the game on Saturday. There are a million ways to word it better than he did, and he'll deservedly feel the wrath of the fans for being so stupid. There is little point contacting the FA though, as I imagine they'll come to the same conclusion as myself.

He's basically running out of excuses. He was backed into a corner and blurted out the word "forfeit", what a tool.

Surely his position is now untenable? He has insulted the players, the competition, and both sets of supporters.

He meets Venkys today....we can only pray that he gets fired!!

So annoyed with his team selection, and so annoyed with his change of tune once we get beat!! Blackman isnt league 2 standard either!

Thought it was Kean who tells Venkys what to say and do. :angry2:

I recon by the end of the day we'll see another Kean interview where he goes back on the 'forfeit' claim. Too little too late Agnew PR.

Me too.

Kean probably used the word 'forfeit' instead of saying that we fielded a weak team as we field weak teams week after week after week or is it weak.
