Final Word from the club:

STILL NOT ABLE TO CONTACT PAUL HUNT (shambles). They have been trying and are asking for our patience in the matter and say they are hoping for him to contact me tomorrow morning. I'm certainly not going to hold my breath. I was told that any comments i make will be passed on to Mr Hunt, this is what I said:

"The fans would be grateful in having their expenses refunded, of course, this would only slightly calm situation. As you know from the recent protests, the club seems to have lost the fans and now the relationship between the fans and the owners/Steve Kean is now beyond repair. Further action must be taken to win back the supporters, If not things will only continue to get worse."

I have been told my comments WILL be passed on. I have to say i'm very sceptical as to weather they will choose to refund the fans, purely because of the sheer lack of organisation at the club. There is no-one seemingly with the authority to make such a decision apart from the owners.... WHO SIMPLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT US.

Worrying.

I would like to thank you for your time and efforts, Neal. Especially if we get an apology and more so a refund. We deserve that really.

Tbh I could see you being offered a refund on ticket costs which would then be spun to oblivion by agnew and his boys as a thank you gesture to the loyal, non-protesting, fans.

I only hope that if they do go down this road that the recent change in attitude from the media continues and they see that for the embarrassment that it really would be.

I'll be sending one of those emails off myself. I was supprised at the number of Rovers fans, considering our predictament, the distance, midweek, bloody freezing etc, there must have been 1200+. Extremeley supportive of the team in the first half, turned very anti Kean after the 2nd goal (and right fully so). Im in disbelief as to what is going on at the club atm.

I shant be bothering with another Rovers game until Kean leaves. Whats the point? It cost me ticket entry, train travel, plus overnight in cardiff. For a forfeit??

Good work Neal.

It's about time some of the people working at the club that pre-date Venky's developed a spine and tried to force the issue, there is no organisation down there at present.

Wasn't it the away support previously that were the "real fans" ?

If Keans lost them then I suspect he's not going to be too popular come the weekend is he?

He is supposed to be responsible for the day to day running of Ewood Park and from what i gather, everything else but transfer dealings.

Sounds like he's done one today then....a personal day perhaps?

One can only hope that he was invited to the meeting in London with Venkys and that the topic of the meeting had changed to the future of Steve Kean. That could explain somewhat BUT what I was told is that he was still travelling back from Cardiff. Given the shambles set up we have, wouldn't know what to believe....

Clear as mud.

Excellent. More pressure on him, more publicity for us.

How many of the Venkys is Kean/Paul Hunt supposed to be meeting with? If it's just one or two it's a pointless waste of club expenditure, since any decisions made about transfer budgets or even Kean's demise will just be vetod by the other directors.

Arrived back from Cardiff this afternoon to see Kean's "forfeit" comments.

My bill for £60 tickets plus £70 petrol plus £100 hotel and food bills is being prepared.

As for the shambles on the pitch, Cardiff are not a talented team but they have organisation and structure and every player knows his job; ie everything that Rovers do not.

Well done to the fans who put up a good show in the first 15 mins but rightly turned on the manager when Cardiff made the most of our inevitable mistakes in defence.

I'd be amazed if we beat Swansea or anyone else this season.

From the responses you've had from the club I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear they're as hacked off as the rest of us.

I wonder if any of them would go on the record with their feelings?

Are we to assume that the Venkys are in town again or is this meeting with underlings?

All of this is mentally and physically exhausting - these guys aren't merely hurting the club through ignorance are they?

I have sympathy for those employees at ground level. Something that I made clear to them today. I doubt they would risk their jobs by going on record and I personally wouldn't want them too.

I'm not quite sure it's ignorance anymore fella....

Just pure neglect.

Totally agree, amazing how it can get to this point - the real culprits do need to be outed one day...

I'm not quite sure if Paul Hunt was present at the meeting or not. Steve Kean does not have to answer to the board, just directly to the "owners". I was purely speculating that maybe Paul Hunt has been invited to the meeting as the topic may have changed to the position of Steve Kean as manager... Which may explain why he didn't turn up at Ewood Park for work today.

Will I get a reply???

Sir,

I write to you personally to express my absolute disgust and dismay at the way we as fans were treated last night. We as fans travelled to Cardiff to support OUR club, given the current plight of the team we arrived in good numbers which surprised me and we superbly backed what can be said as a patched up team. We attended the game expecting as always a good fight from our players, as fans we travelled far to this game and at great expense to ourselves. What we saw was a spineless disgraceful performance from probably the most unintrested team I have ever seen pull on the shirt we as fans adore!

Something was clearly wrong during the game and Cardiff will never have had an easier game, we as fans felt humiliated. If the manager felt the need to rest players ahead of Saturday then fair enough BUT why say he was going to give his all to this game which in turn boosted the numbers of fans who attended the game?

After the game our manager stated we 'forfeited' the game, I find this statement as a personal insult to me! Myself and my father spent £40 on tickets and £60 on fuel to attend this game a game that turned out to be a hinderance to the club, I feel it to be completely fair to have our tickets and travel costs (£100) refunded to ourselves. I look forward to your personal response.
