Amo Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 To be honest seeing all the people on this MB wishing us to lose makes me sick. I understand why you feel so angry at Kean, but seriously, get over yourselves. Kean isn't going to get fired regardless of what happens so either support the team or dont. I admit that if we had lost today there would have been a potential silver lining IF Kean was to be fired but I care more about Rovers winning than anything else and I really dont believe that Kean is going to get fired anyway. Get off your soapbox, Morten. What use is victory today when it will result in relegation? Brian Kidd had a better record than this guy. Does that mean we should have whooped whenever he won a game once in a blue moon? Look at the bigger picture here. A win for Rovers is now a win for Steve Kean's sloppy excuse for a managerial career. It certainly isn't for the best interests of BRFC. Get what? That Rao's would have sacked him? That we will get a new manager within days? That the new manager will be any good? That he will be given any money to spend? That we will pick up points against the top 6 away from home under said new manager? I'll have the three points now thanks. And watch the tone please What tone? Don't be so precious. All eyes were on Kean today, especially during a week where the media have finally figured him out, and murmurs that Venky's were affording him one more game to prove the critics wrong. Kean has just pulled that out of the bag and secured Championship football for us next season. Today just feels like another defeat.

Puffsan Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 very happy for the win today. i don't think kean would have gotten sacked even if we lost, so its great that we pick up 3 points today and are closer to a safe spot. According to the stats david dunn was the man who ran the third most on the pitch today, so people should lay off his fat&unfit comments imo
jim mk2 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Great to win on a Saturday but the gut feeling is it won't make any difference in the long term - we are still likely to be relegated under this manager. He's facing a master tactician at Sunderland next week - anyone want to bet on the outcome ? Funny how after a win that Canadian bloke up pops up after months under the frozen tundra.
Gogger Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 No chance now, the owners won't sack him after a win. Why not? Have anything they have done made sense?
dr_awol Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 As much as i think SK should be sacked, i hope this win can kick start the season for us
Gogger Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Anyone seen the stats? Swansea had 70% of the possession! Outrageous for the home team to only have 30% possession but a good win none the less. Still want Kean out but we all know that's not going to happen any time soon. Also, here's an interesting fact. As it stands, we've scored more goals than any team other than the top 5. If we could sort the defence out we'd be flying by now! Well, inn all honestly Swansea didnt create much today. If they want to have the ball in their back four when they are a goal down good for them. Btw, Bolton will be without Cahill against us?
bigbrandjohn Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Today's victory feels like..a victory. three points with others losing around us. It is an insult to the team to want them to lose. If we get to mid table obscurity then I will be delighted. If we are at the bottom with a gap beginning then Kean will go.
Rover Down Under Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 OK, we won, so Kean should get sacked now since; 1. Flunkys wouldn't bin him after loss on top of loss followed up with a loss. 2. They are completely unpredictable. 3. They love all forms of attention and clearly belong to the school of "even bad publicity is still publicity." Well we can always hope.
hesfromburn Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Formica and the yak were brilliant today. imo hoilett was cack but he was tracking back more and didnt have the same attacking outlet ehen he had chances he kept making the wrong move.
alexanders Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Swansea always has a lot of possesion. That is their game. They have also created most chances in the league so far. Great match from the Rovers today. Delighted with the 3 points.
AllRoverAsia Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Today's victory feels like..a victory. three points with others losing around us. It is an insult to the team to want them to lose. If we get to mid table obscurity then I will be delighted. If we are at the bottom with a gap beginning then Kean will go. If we get to 17th by season end I'll be as happy as a pig in poo
Ferrit Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Doesn't paper over the cracks. Kean out. I'm really not looking forward to his MOTD comments, something along the lines of; "I was fully justified 'forfeiting' the mid week game, it has been coming for weeks, our performances have warranted more points... insert more **** here"
AllRoverAsia Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Maybe he can leave on a high....... tree?.....by rope?....
yoda Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Anyone seen the stats? Swansea had 70% of the possession! Outrageous for the home team to only have 30% possession but a good win none the less. If we could sort the defence out we'd be flying by now! 55% possesion acording to the BBC
adsfortheblues Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 ###### Merson saying protests are embarrassing prick wow we won 1 game look at keans record you fukin cockney (Please don't use that word again)
Rovermatt Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Rather have a win than a loss. At least we're away from the bottom. We're still a certainty for relegation with the idiotic Kean in charge but it's nice to have double figures in the points category.
philipl Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 In the big picture of things, I don't expect this win will have that much bearing on Kean's dismissal.
bestierover Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 55% possesion acording to the BBC Funny that. it was about 70/30 at around 90 mins.
RibbleValleyRover Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 So what has the Scottish Mourinho said after the game? Rovers for the Champions league after this great win?
Rover Down Under Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Vuckevic won't be playing next week since he only managed to come on as sub, set up one goal, win a penalty and put in the best crosses of the game all with a broken nose and a face mask that wouldn't have been out of place in a 1980's teen slasher horror flick.
duggers Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I thought we played well this week, a good starting 11 and a good performance, still shaky at the back but credit where credit is due, a few decent results in the next 3 games puts a different complection on the league. Christmas present - a mid table side playing decent football
davulsukur Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 In the big picture of things, I don't expect this win will have that much bearing on Kean's dismissal. Surely he won't be sacked after this win? They'll probably give him another 10 games
SamTheShrew Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 You can hear him on 5live now with the protests clearly audible in the background
EWOODACE1 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 just got back and even after winning it was hard to get excited. swansea where very very poor with their final ball and if they had have been better 4-2 wouldnt have been the score line. pedersen and dunn did not work as the holding players and i kept forgeting dunn was playing the stand out performance though were yakubu, formica, givet and vuckenic when he came on
