I'd counter it with my opinion....thought that was the point in messageboards?

You get a lot of grief on this messageboard. But i have to say i admire you for sticking to your guns. I hope the critics don't drive you away. I have to be honest and say that Kean lost my support after the Newcastle game (i think i was one of the more patient ones). But i hope you continue to voice your support. It makes for a better debate.

Yeh that's right the game when he called the travelling supporters morons for chanting against him that's the one

So - had that Swansea shot that cleared the bar by a foot gone in at 3-2.... What do you think would have happened?

A total sliding doors moment.

For me, 4-2 flattered to deceive. We have NO defence.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's the man to keep us mid table or higher; season after season.

But IMO he's the best we can realisitically get at this moment in time. And no-one has come out and gave a decent, realistic shout for an available manager to move us forward without there being a stumbling block.

It's just "KEAN OUT!"...then what?

I'm not offering my support to the man. I just admire you for voicing your opinion where many others wouldn't. Kudos.

A win is great 3 points on the board. But we are now stuck with fat head for another few games which is depressing. I was not at the game today and will not return while he is manager. I refuse to contribute to his wages. Only person who truely won today is fat head and we will have to hear about it for weeks of loses ahead. Our club is dying... KEAN OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and venkys and F%$& off with him

I did the exact same thing in Pressing the -1 I do apologize, I was'nt even pressing anything but I was controlling the mouse on my knee and was supposed to scroll down

You just don't want to hear the suggestions though. There are plenty of credible out of work managers. It just comes down to the money.

Assuming Venkys have some, or even if they haven't - may as well borrow some, give a new guy some incentive to keep us up.

We have some decent players but we desperately need to add some steel in January. I honestly don't trust Kean to spend it wisely (or be able to attract the right players - let alone hold on to the ones we've got), do you?

However, as Patrick said, fair play to you for sticking to your guns - although I don't expect a convincing reply.

He gets a lot of flak because his contrarian opinions are designed to rub people up the wrong way. If he's not laughing at fans being drowned out over the tannoy, he's sticking up for his buddy Kean. I doubt he actually believes the stuff he comes out with.

When we're relegated next year, let's see how precious this win against Swansea was.

Excellent win today, 3 vital points and now off the bottom which is crucial for confidence. Yakubu & Givet the stars of our performance.....but also a mention for Samba, what a difference he makes to our team!

Now onto our need for signings.

I would rather we add a midfield in January.....Jermaine Jones on loan, and a goalscoring/ battling midfielder.

We dont have a problem scoring goals - we have now scored more goals than any other team outside the top 5.

Its our defending that is the issue, bue when you have a centre midfield of MGP (Soft) and Dunn (Knackered) you aint going to get much tracking going on, and they dont stick too many tackles in.

Great great win for Rovers - 3 points is what we needed.

We do have to remember that we beat Swansea and not Spurs/Chelsea/Man City etc. We beat the worst away performing team in the league. I aint getting my hopes up of a sudden turn in our luck and dont for one second believe that Kean is the man to do the turning.

I have to say spot on to Glen for his pre-match prediction (here's hoping he put a few quid on it and he is rolling in cash now)

This is how I think it will pan out

16.40 Rovers make game safe 4-2, Kean running up and down touchline, crowd going wild, Kean lapping it up

Also this picture has also made my day, Good on you Gesty

Lastly anyone have a link to highlights so I can view the goals?

honestly, I can't think of a single decent manager who would come to Rovers right now. Maybe Hughes but his backroom staff would cost a bomb and Venkys don't like spending money on chairmen nevermind sports scientists.

I'm not sure about trusting Kean with the money really, I think Goodwillie is a bit of a rough diamond. Yakubu is a bit of a surprise. Dan's alright, Petrovic is kack. And the rest aren't too impressive.

JJ is playing every match now for Shalke so that aint gonna happen but I see where you are coming from, a helluva lot of goals scored against us have come from the other teams midfielders, our midfielders switch off and run out of steam.

Scott Parker would have been immense for us obviously we cant get him but we need someone of his quality and he will save a lot of goals, central midfield has been a problem for that long now without it being addressed I'm getting sick of it.

Anyway, for what it's worth, here is a list of what I believe to be credible alternative managers.

George Graham

Glenn Hoddle

Mark Hughes

Alan Curbishley

Nigel Adkins

Lee Clark

Paul Lambert

Michael Laudrup

Rafa Benitez

Brendan Rodgers

I don't want to **** in your pie Hughsey but you're a cup half-full man after 1 home win in months! Samba was a big factor so how will we fare when he's gone? Ditto Hoilett-----still "bursting" to sign a new contract is he?

OK---so we've scored a lot of goals but we have a negative goal difference of some magnitude!

And why do we have so many holes in mid-field and at full-back when the manager has had 2 transfer windows to sort this out?

Always good to get 3 points on a "live for the day" basis but this result will haunt us in the weeks and months to come.

Wow early billing on motd

And the crowd reaction to the Yak/Kean celebration came over loud and clear! Never commented on though.

George Graham - seriously? When did he last manage a club?

Glenn Hoddle - ^^^^

Mark Hughes - I agree Hughesy would be good but it would cost Venkys big. Would they pay?

Alan Curbishley - IMO he worked wonders at Charlton but then went rapidly down hill.

Nigel Adkins - he's not going to leave top of the table Southampton to have a relegation scrap

Lee Clark - Paul Ince

Paul Lambert - he's loved at Norwich and is doing better than us.

Michael Laudrup - isn't he in some kind of coaching roll at Ajax?

Rafa Benitez - it's a good shout. Fact! ;)

Brendan Rodgers - only just moved to Swansea and is doing quite well and better than us (but not today!)

In My opinion.

Pretty much, yup.

No doubt you'll get a few Rovers Fans backing you up because we won today.

Come our next defeat, you'll be as welcome as a fart in an elevator.
