Pretty much, yup.

No doubt you'll get a few Rovers Fans backing you up because we won today.

Come our next defeat, you'll be as welcome as a fart in an elevator.

So everyone who disagrees with you now is fickle?

You never know, we could agree on something next week! :tu:

If you actually had some basis behind your opinion, then yeah.

When you argue for the sake of arguing, then no.

Read all my posts and you'll see there's logic behind every post and I usually explain my posts quite clearly when asked.

Some people (you) seem to ignore it though.

Example:

Last week: I was asked if I thought Kean was the man for the job.

Replied "not on today's performance" then I went on to explain that having seen rovers play well against the big teams like Chelsea and Spurs and to be in them games that it gave me hope of beating the so called lesser teams.

Your reply: "Why does today's performance matter!!"

Seems like your just picking an argument when my original post answered your question in the first place. Or some would say arguing for the sake of arguing.

honestly, I can't think of a single decent manager who would come to Rovers right now.

My turn to have a go Super Arran.

How about a MANAGER? Kean is neither decent nor a manger. He's an abject failure who is taking this club down.

Great to get 3 points today.

But could be the result that sends us down if it prolongs Kean's stay as manager.

We love Rovers but we hate Steve Kean.

KEAN OUT VENKYS OUT!!

That ^^ sums up my view completely. I think at the end of the season we will be looking back and saying the Swansea win relegated us.

I said from the beginning under Kean that we will win one flukey game, go on another 6 game run without a win. Win a game. Go on another 6 game run without a win. Eventually leading to relegation.

He clearly isn't the man for the job as much as people want to believe in him.

As for yesterdays game, I thought we was average at best. Put us up against a team who have more class and creativity and we would have been ripped apart. The flanks were being exploited, defenders out of position, the midfield was all over the place, players playing here their and everywhere etc.

We are shaping up to be this years Blackpool. You score and we will try and outscore you. Well i'm sorry Kean but it's never going to work.

There is no trap as far as I'm concerned. He deserves the flak he gets because of his record. However, when the game is being played, it's the players that need OUR support. Something which wasn't apparent today as all I heard was Kean Out.

Support the team during 90 mins. If you wanna run round Ewood with Kean Out printed on each ass cheek then by all means, go ahead. Just don't do it during the game.

If you think that you're obviously a cuntface?

Right. But who would realistically come to Rovers and take us forward?

I'm not on speaking terms with the league managers and neither are you so neither of us could possibly answer your question - needless to say each and everyone of them is a MANAGER. Kean is not, Kean has proved this, Kean has taken this club backwards. The way you worded your question suggests Kean is taking us forward?

Kean is taking us sooooo far back that we're actually in front now. That's his blag to the slag from pune.

Nope, I think he's the best we can get at the moment without Venkys' putting their hand in their pocket. Which doesn't seem like happening any time soon.

And Dunn has another good 3 seasons left in him

Been back a couple of weeks but don't let facts get in the way - habit of a lifetime, I know.

Wasn't aimed at you actually but Chocolate Soldiers often have a sense of paranoia. Keep taking the HobNobs.

Watching the highlights on MotD emphasises the feeling I had at the match that today was probably a rare albeit welcome victory and there is no real cause for hope that we might avoid the drop. Without Nzonzi and another defensive midfield player alongside him better teams than Swansea will continue to walk through our midfield which does not have a player who can put a foot in never mind tackle properly. A solution might be to move the ever-improving Lowe into midfield but that would leave us having to play the ageing Salgado at right back. The decision to release Emerton looks increasingly nonsensical.

I enjoyed the win but fully expect normal service to be resumed next week.

Watched the highlights. Yakubu's finish for his first goal was utter class.

One possible positive is that we could stand a chance of promotion next year with the players we have. Kean will get us relegated if he sticks around for much longer. I truly hope he would be relieved of his duties in the summer at the latest (but who really knows I suppose). Hoilett will be gone by then of course, and Samba with him. If we can retain the rest we could make a push for an immediate return, provided we have a proper manager at the helm. Yakubu in particular is the sort of player who can score shed-loads in the Championship.

Lastly anyone have a link to highlights so I can view the goals?

If you have an iPhone, BlackBerry or an Android phone you should download the ESPN goals app. I have it on my HTC Salsa and it's excellent for seeing all the goals before any other highlights are available.

Hang on you're having a laugh. "Kean Out" is the only thing you heard? There were tons of chants today. Singing for Givet, Yakubu and I heard chants for Jnr as well. There's only one Jack Walker. Rovers Till I Die, Walking down the Bolton Road, etc.

You were sat in the BBurn End but yet you only heard "Kean Out"? Bit suspect <_<

Yes there were other chants, but booing because Kean was celebrating a goal??? What the hell was all that about? Booing each time they score? Aren't you meant to be backing the team and getting behind them?

I was, and many others around me were annoyed at the fact that the 'Kean Out' chants were done during the game. His post match comments are spot on. Why boo when we're winning?

I'm not a Kean supporter at all, and When you ask that question, finding a reason to back him is difficult.

1) With Jensen as assistant we shipped goals, when Clement came in there was a short lived improvement in defensive solidarity (yes, we still conceded) but 8 goals in the last 3 games is awful.

2) Keans not taken us on a winning run, I'll include winning games midweek in the carling cup in that. A win against Swansea means nothing if he can't back it up with a run of picking up points. I'm not sure he can do it.

3) Does he know what his strongest squad is? It's now December, he should do.

4) Clean sheets, I've said it earlier in this thread. Keep a clean sheet and the worst you can get is a point. Ok so he's had some injury problems with his back four, but no clean sheet since April is inexcusable.

I think they're just a few of many Issues he needs to resolve in some capacity.

This is in no way an attack on you, I just want to understand your position. So you think Kean should stay in the job, not because he's doing a good one or even a mediocre one, but because you think that Venky's are too cheap to splash the cash to bring someone better in?

I'm happy with the win, just a shame that it will keep Kean in a job longer. I still have 0% confidence in the man. Some good goals from Yakubu and I'm glad Vukcevic played well. I'm glad that the protests went a head too. Kean's record is shameful and if people had just walked out after the game, it would just come across as fickle fans who were disgruntled that we weren't winning, but seeing as we did win, everything was now ok. The problems run deeper than that and one win should not and will not appease the majority of Rovers fans.

Of course it will spun that even when we win the fans are still protesting. Paul Merson, who I think is a good pundit, was saying in his review of the game that he couldn't believe that the fans were still protesting and that Steve Kean should go and stand outside their work and chant for them to be fired! As I said, if everyone had just cleared off after the game, then comments would be made about that too, so you're done if you do and done if you don't.

Fair do's you don't agree.

What's your suggestion?

Kean out? Then what?

To be fair mate why are you constantly picking arguments.. someone posts a list of managers and you bypass any response.

I am of the opinion having a coach as manager is a very poor move, we have all gone over the hundred reasons why Kean has done a very poor job so far, his record overall speaks for itself. This is not the area for that debate.

But given that his record is one of the worst ever for a Rovers manager (and he took over a mid table side) surely this must mean that pretty much 99% of our previous managers could have done a better job and therfor lots of managers out there as well. I personally believe that it would be nigh on impossible to get someone worse.

But if given the choice of cheap/available managers who would be interested I suppose I would plum for someone like Schuster who has a track record of taking on management roles at clubs without cash, isn't expensive, is currently not working, has previously stated a desire to want to try the EPL, has links with two players Venkys had an interest in as marquee signings and has links with at least one player in our current squad.
