I'm not aware of the current health of Olsson and Samba but we have looked poor in the last two without them and need them back desperately! I have been prepared to give Kean time as I have enjoyed watching us play a bit of football as opposed to the Allardyce style, which, whilst effective, also depressed me greatly. My concern now is that the last two games against, at best, run of the mill sides have seen us concede six! It is our play in our own half that will undoubtedly see us relegated; you simply cannot concede like that and expect any other outcome. Wins against Swansea and Bolton are essential and something from Sunderland wouldn't go amiss either.

We need one or two spectacular slides from the promoted teams as well but it ultimately needs to come from us and that does not seem at all likely!

I watched Swansea at Arsenal earlier in the season and they were impressive. Very composed on the ball and with Dyer and Sinclair on the wings, they were always a threat on the counter. They're not a remarkable team by any stretch but I think they'll provide a sterner test than either Norwich or QPR provided.

any optimism about our squad and patience with kean has evaporated for me.

i will always get behind the team and the players, even though i dont think many of them are good enough.

unless we get an early goal- i think us as a crowd will quickly be frustrated, cos swansea keep the ball well and have spells of dominating possession.

that said, they offer very little as a goal threat.

i fear a tight nervy encounter. i just hope we win this one.

Swansea are a great possesion team and we dont have the players to break up play, if the players play for Kean and they chase and close down then the game could come down to one set piece goal, if they dont then Swansea may well hold the ball for 90 mins without us even seeing it.

They are a very good team with some match winners and pace on the flanks, with the way we are playing at the moment I dont see a win here.

No one has answered the question - on 7th March 1984 in the old Canon Second Division, Rovers ran out convincing 4-1 winners at Ewood. Does anyone know who the Rovers scorers were that day?

And l know it isn't on t'internet, cos trust me, l have looked :rover:

Faz, Thompson, an o.g and Patterson.

We'll get beat and that will be the nail in the coffin that seals our relegation.

I said a 2-2 draw the other day, however i think with yesterdays shambolic effort, Swansea will have no trouble in scoring goals past our completely unorganised defence.

3-1 defeat and some seriously ugly scenes at Ewood.

Taking into account that everyone is fit I would start with the following team.

RObinson

Dann-SAmba-GivetOlsson

Vuckenic-Lowe-Gamst-Hoilett

Rochina

Yakubo

I think we should crowd the middle, buts its impossible to find the third player to play as a central midfielder with Nzonzi out, such a weak midfield and thats where we will lose against Swansea. Allen will have a field day.

Just cant understand that Vuckenic wont get another match after the spurs game. I think he did very well, backtracked better than rochina ever do and had good ball retention. UNlucky with the deflection when spurs scored, but watch how hard he worked to get to that ball. No legs? Better legs than Dunn whom Kean thinks so well about.

Henley----Samba----Givet-----Olsson

Vukcevic--Lowe---Pedersen—Hoilett

To be honest we are desperate now. The players heads have gone down and the loss of Nzonzi deprives us of our one established central midfielder. Hoilett is off and is losing what commitment he has left. The only bright spot is that Rochina and Yakubu look like a decent pairing up front.

The midfield is appallingly weak right across it. Henley is a total unknown at right back, but is arguably a better bet than Salgado who cannot handle pace at all anymore.

I fear that as the players become ever more dispirited the work rate and focus will plummet and we could really start getting battered.

This is the first time I have ever felt like this as I have been to every Rovers game I have been able to get to but am seriously considering not gong Saturday. Its embarrassing and painful to watch, this team or club for that matter do not resemble anything that I hold dear and love about Blackburn Rovers. There is absolutely zero enjoyment in it and I dont even feel protesting or airing my views against the regime will make any difference. What a horrible situation.

I'd definitely go with that back four, we desperately need pace to cope with Swansea's wide players.

I'd go with three in the centre of midfield though. Swansea are excellent at playing keep-ball in there with three players, I think we need to match up to that.

I'd push Rochina to the right in place of Vukcevic and (reluctantly) play Grella or Petrovic in front of the back four, pushing the wide players a bit further up to support Yak. Lowe and Pedersen have the legs to go end-to-end in support, something Dunn and Formica both lack.
