Dont agree.

- Vukcevic

- Rochina

- Formica

- Hoilett

- Olsson

- Pedersen?

We only need a player ala Jermaine Jones. Hard tackling midfielder to make sure that our formica, rochina/vukcevic,yakubu, hoilett get more freddom going forward.

What is the current gaol tally for those six players then? 8 goals between 6 players in a combined total of 60 starting appearances

Parsonblue's match report is published to the front page here.

Concise and fair summing up as usual. Thanks for your efforts Parson.

Enerton is a big boy. He was being paid a lot of money to play for Rovers (with a contract he signed willingly). He should have stayed to the end of his contract. He was a member of the squad and could have been of value to the team.

Oh I forgot players are such tender sensitive creatures they have to be shielded from the real world.

That's not how it works these days I'm afraid. The players hold all the cards. If I guy wants to return home to a country on the other side of the world there's not much we, or Kean, can do. Makes you wonder why such a previously loyal servant of the club couldn't wait to get out though. He's definitely been missed if only for his ability to play pretty well in several positions.

Don't worry you'll be back down to earth soon.

(Believe me I hope I'm wrong when I say that - I'll put up with Kean being a smug illegitimate if it means we stay up).

EDIT: Just as an aside - I just watched Kean's post match comments on MOTD, apparently it's been a great week for the players! He just doesn't know when to shut his pie-hole.

Theno's Lancashire Utd draws ever nearer a reality :angry2:

The main issue with Lancashire Unitednis the core support from all clubs wouldn't be interested - I'd rather support somebody else.

Just heard Lawrenson on MOTD about your protests, what a first class .........

Serving time's a bit harsh, perhaps. But then again...

I regularly think that about Lawrenson.

At least they didn't go hunting for an innocuous incident this week to get one of our players banned.

To sum up the game yesterday I think it was a very entertaining game where we were very effective even though we created 10 shots on target I think.

Think Formica was very good yesterday. neat and tidy with a football brain. The same with Vukcevic. it is becoming difficult to fit vukcevic, rochina, hoilett and formica in the same team.

We looked shaky at defence and I am look forward to Olsson returning - placing Dann at the bench.

Well don't think Kean will be adding the Swansea manager to fantasy list of well wishing managers who have complemented to the lip licking lying toad about our brazillianesque free flowing football we are playing

"Whatever happens to Swansea, Rodgers is not about change his methods. When I asked him if he wished his side scored more ugly goals he said: "If you are referring to would we would be happy to play like Blackburn? No chance.

"Would I resort to smashing the ball into the box from their halfway line onwards and look for a scramble every time there is a free-kick? Then no, I wouldn't. But, at times, we do score those types of goals."

I have swung across to the majority on here who want a change of manager. I have not swung across to the protestors.

The decision for him to go has been made more difficult by several of the players making it clear by their actions after the goals that they are close to the manager. I thought it was churlish to boo Yakubu after the first goal because he ran a distance to share the goal celebrations with Steve Kean.

The one plus for me is that the players appear to be able to blank the protestors almost as well as the owners. The one who is naturally showing some pain is Kean.

Yes I would welcome a change, particularly if it is a good replacement. In the meantime with every victory the change of management becomes less likely and the protests more pointless. I am not so blind that I wouldn't welcome a change in fortunes and with that a change in my opinion towards Kean. I was appalled to hear a number of people wearing Yellow and Black saying they hoped we would take a defeat from Swansea. There weren't many in the Jack Walker though.

Happy with the result and the points, hopefully we can put a run together now. I have doubts but that doesn't stop me hoping.

You sum up my thoughts too Roversider, great to see a common sense post :tu:

Anyone with a brain can see that things can't continue as they have been doing, but unfortunately no matter how many people protest, and for how long, it isn't going to have an effect on the people who make the decisions as they are ignorant to it all. I'm all for people venting after the match in the BBurn End or at the main entrance (and that mustn't stop if it is your belief) because Kean should have been long gone due to his lack of results but the mid-game protests are driving a serious wedge between the supporters of the club. I personally cannot see the sense in what was going on yesterday and can't imagine mid-match protests ever being productive, I also can't understand anyone wishing Rovers had lost knowing the position we are in.

Although they had a very strange way of showing it yesterday  , the protestors love Rovers as much as any other fan does. If we can just turn their hatred for Kean into blind passion for the team, we could have a very hostile place for teams to visit. Ewood genuinely hasn't had a great atmosphere for years and as usual people are much more vocal when they want to ###### and moan, but it's backs to the wall time now and we have to be behind the team, no matter who is at the helm.

Kean certainly isn't the man for the job but I can honestly see us scraping up this season because Wigan, Bolton, Wolves, Sunderland, Fulham and Swansea are also very poor teams and we genuinely can out-perform three of them. We simply need points from as many matches as possible and if we don't get them from this run of games, I do expect Kean to be gone. Thankfully, although they can't defend for toffee, the players definitely showed yesterday that many are willing to dig deep and get behind the manager - so we need to do our bit and get right behind the team and try our best to ignore the man in charge. If we do what we are capable of and win some of the upcoming games and things improve to some extent, you just have to switch off the TV when Kean is being interviewed because he will be unbearable - but at least we will be able to look at a more uplifting league table.

Even with a better manager I still think this Rovers team will struggle to survive - quite simply it isn't strong enough and certainly not as good as Bolton, Wolves, Sunderland and Fulham. We have big weaknesses in midfield and defence and cannot keep a clean sheet - a prerequisite for survival. Much as I enjoyed the win yesterday it only glosses over our problems.

Don't worry about it too much Jim. Because of our owners failings, we will never know whether you are right or not.

The fact remains, we simply aren't good enough under this manager, yet we were good enough before he was put in charge.

Don't want to get too much into the debate of boo's and Kean chants during the game as 90% of the crowd was doing this, be that people who stopped behind or ones that went home,

However despite the spin certain people may put in it, We won the match, and that was with the boo's and chants. With that in mind I find it irrelevant, 3 points in the bag and supporters showed that one win don't change a thing, This is about over 12 months and a win against a newly promoted side at home, who scored their first away goals of the season and don't travel well, does not mask the dire situation we are in.

Before this game certain supporters said, you only protest against the big teams when we lose, well yesterdays result blows that out of the water

Simon and I will discuss an Agenda with the club this week for a future meeting for supporters, discussions are on-going, and there is lots of ifs and buts, however progress is being made

It's very difficult to gauge how many people are chanting, however the 'stand up if you want Kean out' was certainly a majority in the BBEnd, I was amazed th the numbers considering we were 4-2 up.

Great credit that we are not as fickle as the media.

As I said in an earlier post, I too was amazed by the amount of people that stood up.

It wasnt 90% mate...you are living in dreamland.

Not sure if it was 90% myself but it looked like a lot from where I was standing in the RS. Definitely not a minority.

Whereabouts were you and how many would you estimate?

Talking of spin those bold bits aren't half bad Glen - very Kean-esque ;) .

No way were there 90% of people joining in mate but things can't go on as they are. Don't stop sticking up for what you believe in but please stop the negativity inside the ground - it won't ever help.

Out in Manchester last night after the match were Jason Lowe and Grant Hanley. Hanley was absolutely smashed and a total pr!ck. Lowe on the other hand was the total opposite. I thought it just about sums up the 2 of them on the pitch ........... Hanley is garbage, whilst Lowe shows great potential.

As for yesterdays match, one result changes absolutley nothing. Kean has to go.

Glen, they are exactly the sort stats Kean would spurt and you know it - the only stat that matters yesterday is the result and for once in a blue moon we've finally won.

You are right in that the bigger picture hasn't changed, but you only need look a couple of pages back at the quote from the chap who said only a couple of people stood up in the JW stand and he won't be sitting there again...with that in mind, and with what my own eyes could see - the 90% estimate is far from a fact. I think that you need to lose the hang up regarding the minority etc. because whether it's one person, or one million people who are ###### off by what is going on it really doesn't matter, facts are that our club deserves better than we are getting.
