According to most on here the players are not affected by the boos and chanting. They are big boys and should be able to handle the situation. However, I'm not sure how good it looks to any potential signings if our better players are making statements like the Yaks above.

Any potential signing needs their head examining full stop.

On the flip side, he scored four so it clearly didn't stop him from performing at all, regardless of words to the contrary.

So he just said it for the crack?

And Samba reacted to the crowd in the lower Jack Walker for nothing??

Give over....THEY need our support.

Im all for chants along the lines of 'Love Rovers, hate Steve Kean'.....but it should be chants of 'Sing your hearts out for the lads', not 'Kean out' DURING THE GAME, especially when winning.

The protests/chants work to the player's favour. It takes the pressure off them and puts it firmly on the manager.

I sang 'Feed the Yak' after every goal, as did most around me.

Hughesy, if pepople want to boo, cheer, run on the pitch, hire a plane, there's nothing you or anyone else can do about it.

Until that man is removed, Ewood will be a toxic place to visit.

Blame the owners for their dereliction of duty and complete contempt for the supporters, don't fall for the Kean/Media trap of turning against your fellow fan.

I don't know why he said it.

Do you believe that if people hadn't have shown their displeasure during the game he would have done better than score four goals then?

I know some people are saying they were booing the manager and not the players when we scored, but Yakubu definitely got a muted reception after his first 2 goals, following that. Usually ‘Feed the Yak’ would be heard in full voice, but not until he got subbed/ hit the 4th did we really hear that.

Not sure what you're on about there either as Feed the Yak was sang after all the goals and him being subbed. Very loudly. Or was it just me singing loudly and I'd been drinking absinthe?

The one thing that really did come across loud and clear on Football First during the minutes applausebefore kick-off was the ignorant fools singing "Kean Out" right through. Absolutely disgrace full! That will REALLY give the media and the rest of the country's football fans a reason to despise Blackburn Rovers and their idiot fans.

That never happened.

Sorry Fife but that was not the case at all.

Looking forward to this one :)

I was right to be optimistic.

I must be some kind of lucky omen. Last time I posted before the post I just quoted was 20th September, the last game we won outright over 90 minutes. I may start posting more often.

Embarrassing by the fans, incidentally. Having moaned for so long about being a laughing stock, it appears that those 100% fans have sunk us to lower depths then we achieved throughout the entirety of Kean's tenure. The only thing coming close was the Andrews booing, though fortunately it received no real media coverage otherwise I'm sure there'd be even more sniggers from around the football league when combined with this one. THe more attention this stuff gets the less attractive we are to potential signings in January.

Re my earlier post and my allegations of misconduct during the Gary Speed applause:- OK I will listen to my recording again as soon as I get a chance. I only recorded it this afternoon and I have not checked the DVD I made yet. I formed my opinion from watching the Sky Box recording as I was making my DVD, and it is quite possible that I mis-heard ( I do have severe hearing problems in both ears and wear two hearing aids). However I am not trying to make that any kind of excuse, and I will certainly listen again , but this time with a neutral witness present, and if I am wrong I will be straight back on here to apologise. Until then........??

You heard wrong, it did not happen. I was terrified that some may do so, but thankfully everyone remained respectful.

If it came across loud and clear on Football First then someone's added it (although I can't see why they would do that) in which case there needs to be strong complaints to Ofcom.

If I were you I'd be more embarrassed by your avatar. Coincidentally a few Burnley fans I work with have started pinning her picture up too.

I'm pretty sure you will be tucking into a large helping of humble pie here. By all means deep fry it and cover it in chippy sauce if you wish. I was in the DE where a lot of the anti-Kean stuff came from and didn't hear a peep during the applause apart from "1 Gary Speed" and "Speedo" mainly from the Swansea fans.

I'm sickened by the media reaction to Saturday and am sure now that irrespective of results there is no way this club can make any progress with that man as manager. I just hope the owners can get that fact because we'll be in limbo until it happens with ill feeling getting worse and gates dwindling away. Anyone can see that this club needs a manager who isn't associated with the events of the last year.

You'd be more embarrassed by an avatar than what transpired with sections of the fans on Saturday?

We differ greatly.

Disgraceful slur on Rovers fans. I did not hear any such chants only applause and tributes to Gary Speed. The only idiot fan is yourself - if indeed you are a Rovers fan.
