Mr Maureen Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Out of interest before a ball is kicked is there anyone that actually wants us to lose the game? Apologies if I missed the same discussion [/quote Yes me,a convincing 0-4 defeat, regrettably its the only way. Every time we sneak a win it simply extends Keans departure, win tomorrow he will still be here in 1012. Agreed, of am I wrong ?
Amo Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Out of interest before a ball is kicked is there anyone that actually wants us to lose the game? Apologies if I missed the same discussion Me, sir! Don't see what winning will accomplish. Kean's smarmy face will milk it dry and buy himself more time to relegate us. If we lose, and empathetically, then maybe, just maybe, Venky's will take action. It's a long shot but something has to give sooner or later.
Amo Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Real catch 22 time ain't it Look at it this way: We're already relegated. Kean's just fulfilling the fixture list at the moment. Until he's outta here, we have no realistic chance of surviving.
Darwen Rover Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Winning means certain relegation.... Bizarre but true and very sad to feel like that
imy9 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 NEVER want us to lose. That's not going to change on Saturday where IF we win then the sides above us are within touching distance of being caught.
beerwins Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Out of interest before a ball is kicked is there anyone that actually wants us to lose the game? Apologies if I missed the same discussion If it guaranteed him out..... yes, as it probably wont.... no.
Mercer Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Out of interest before a ball is kicked is there anyone that actually wants us to lose the game? Apologies if I missed the same discussion I really think that the only way we get rid of Kean is to lose tomorrow and for the ground to nastily turn against him DURING the match. This boil needs lancing immediately whether it leaves a scar or not. Otherwise, we will be left with one hell of a carbuncle requiring far more drastic surgery.

"NASTILY,NASTY".....great choice of words, its taken some time, the mood is now set......get the NASTY ###### out of the club.
davulsukur Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Winning means certain relegation.... Bizarre but true and very sad to feel like that Unfortunately I think losing gives us the same outcome
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Real catch 22 time ain't it I have pondered this over the last 24 hours - and have come up with solution - beat Swansea - get beat by Sunderland (possible no matter who is the manager) - Kean sacked, and new man in for next home match. Works for me ....... unfortunately our owners would probably just give him one more match rather than put him out of his (and our) misery.

I dont think there is a way to get Kean sacked. We've just lost against a championship club. If that's not enough, then what is?? A few more chants?? Another plane plane flying over Ewood?? Kean is here to stay regardless of results it seems. We're just going to have to live with it.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 2, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted December 2, 2011 I don't get all this wanting to lose tbh,if there had been concrete evidence or even significant enough rumour from one of the many ITKs that he would be binned following a loss. There has been no indication that SK will be sacked even if we do lose, in fact nothing but suggestion to the contrary, ie the new contract. However, as someone above mentioned regarding a catch 22, it's not enjoyable winning as we see Kean's smug face and some sort of celebration directed at the fans a la Wigan away.... Not that I'm happy about any of this, as it really is a living nightmare.
McClarky Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Looking at the fixtures, if we need 40 points to stay up, that means at least 15 to be in with a chance at half way. That means 8 points in the next 4 games or we sare stuffed as we'll get nowt at ManU and L'pool. Certain defeat next week means 3 wins at home or it's all over bar a miracle. Quite a big game then.

How has it come to this... Ma D and the Nutters better be ready to spend at least 50 million in January to keep us up if we keep this misdirected blowjob as our manager.
bazza Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I am NOT going to the Swansea game, so if we stay true to form I can only see us winning! Can't believe how unlucky I have been with fixtures! Please stay away, OJ. I cannot agree with anyone who wants Rovers to draw or lose. We must win. We have to start the resurgence to climb up the table to safety; regardless of who is manager. Our club is no longer a club run by people with local interest. To me they are Alien Occupiers. Results make no difference as to whether or not the manager gets sacked. We need to stay in the premier league in order to have hope of a new, decent, owner. That's the serious stuff; and now the dream.............. Swansea will be annihilated 5-0 Mark my words.
rebelmswar Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Swansea will be annihilated 5-0 Mark my words. Clean sheet? Be realistic.
roverandout Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 if it means getting rid of that snivelling rodent then yes i would rather lose but once hes gone i am fully behind the players and i want us to go on a 24 match unbeaten run culminating in a europa league place.
beastlove Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I cannot see us keeping a clean sheet. Pace down the wings always kills us and swansea also dominate possession. I might go for swans to win by two
cn174 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Our club is no longer a club run by people with local any interest. More accurate.
grizfoot Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 We need to play at a high tempo tommorrow and put the pressure on Swansea. Sit off them and we could be in for a long game of them popping the ball round for fun before we eventually concede as always.
DeadlyDirk Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I'd like to think we could get a draw but I think they'll control the midfield and we'll struggle to get the ball, we'll concede a couple so I'll say Swansea 2-1, might get a 2-2 if we're lucky. Think we'll miss N'Zonzi, he might have a lot of improving to do himself but he's certainly a better bet than Petrovic/Dunn or whoever might play there tomorrow. Out of interest before a ball is kicked is there anyone that actually wants us to lose the game? Apologies if I missed the same discussion I've never wanted us to lose but have gone through a little phase this season where I wasn't too concerned if we lost as I thought at least it pushes Kean towards the exit door, right now though I thoroughly want us to win every game and am gutted if we don't because points are so vital, I no longer think Kean's tenure will be decided by results on the field, I'm beginning to accept he's here as long as Venky's are so the thought of wanting to lose doesn't even cross my mind anymore. Hope is all I have left.
LeftWinger Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 We 100% need a win tomorrow. If we lose the next two (we're bound to lose to Sunderland if it's MON's first game in charge), we'll likely be 7 points from safety already. So we could do to win tomorrow - and then hope Sunderland hammer us to get Kean sacked.
Robbo Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I'll hoping for a 4-3 to Rovers. Rovers 4-0 up with 5 mins to go. Kean makes late substitutions which weakens the side and allows Swansea to bang in a few quick goals. We scrape the 3 points and the whole off Ewood delivers a fine rendition of 'you don't know what you're doing'. The owners see the reaction even when we win and Kean gets the sack.
