Amo Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 You can all stay at home and look after the children. Don't be cruel. I'm sure there's a kitchen at this place.

Majiball Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Don't be cruel. I'm sure there's a kitchen at this place. It's little wonder I'm divorced and your single, lol.
roverwhelmed Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I'd really like to come to this. I'll have to wait until after Christmas to buy tickets, but hoping there will be some left!
thenonda Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I'd really like to come to this. I'll have to wait until after Christmas to buy tickets, but hoping there will be some left! So far around 30% have been sold so you should be ok.
mhead Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 This event is now the "Rovers Renaissance" Event and should include: - a call to plan the Future of BRFC - a proper relaunch of the BR Supporters Trust - a Sub-Group who look for big and connected Investors - a credible Figurehead - a Launch Fund leading to permanent office in Blackburn It may be a get together, but as someone who gave sizeable money to the original set up of an Independent Group(3 years ago?) we now need a local 'fighting' group. And a special Invite to the Dinner to Ian Battersby, Wayne Wild and Andy Cryer(paid for by me if needed as my early donation) We now have to stick together and avoid 'melt-down'.
Brfcrule1 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 mhead I hope those of us who have already bought tickets are welcome to still come along & will Simon Garner still be attending? Thanks.
thenonda Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 This event is still the 1st brfcs sport mans dinner nothing has changed from the original plan. If there is anything else wanted we can discuss it however it has been 25% sold on the basis of what it is. Wayne wild is coming and sponsoring the event
Backroom Tom Posted December 21, 2011 Backroom Posted December 21, 2011 This event is now the "Rovers Renaissance" Event and should include: - a call to plan the Future of BRFC - a proper relaunch of the BR Supporters Trust - a Sub-Group who look for big and connected Investors - a credible Figurehead - a Launch Fund leading to permanent office in Blackburn It may be a get together, but as someone who gave sizeable money to the original set up of an Independent Group(3 years ago?) we now need a local 'fighting' group. And a special Invite to the Dinner to Ian Battersby, Wayne Wild and Andy Cryer(paid for by me if needed as my early donation) We now have to stick together and avoid 'melt-down'. Oh no it isn't
Ste B Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 This event is now the "Rovers Renaissance" Event and should include: - a call to plan the Future of BRFC - a proper relaunch of the BR Supporters Trust - a Sub-Group who look for big and connected Investors - a credible Figurehead - a Launch Fund leading to permanent office in Blackburn It may be a get together, but as someone who gave sizeable money to the original set up of an Independent Group(3 years ago?) we now need a local 'fighting' group. This event will still be proceeded as per the original posts. I'm open to the possibility of using this to raise some money for the supporters trust or giving it some publicity should that be required. MHEAD - you really want to contact BRST on here, who can fill you in with what is happening with the supporters trust. I think many of your points are valid, and you could work with them to achieve much of what you are asking for.
mhead Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 It may go ahead as planned - I was just pointing out that since the Letter to Puna and the LET front page everything has changed. On the tables what are people gonna talk about?...only one thing "the shambles". So the Event should recognise that, otherwise it is just the same as Mrs Rao in India not understanding our deep predicament. You have to galvanise 100 people meeting in one room.
thenonda Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 It's 11 weeks away, it is a social event. People may want to forget about the shambles and have a good time. I suggest that you arrange something or as Ste said contact the trust. BTW have you ordered your ticket?
Eddie Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I'd love to make it, but it falls at a rather unfortunate time for me. I'll make sure to make it next year.
ABBEY Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I'm going to have to say no at the moment? The CSA now own me!
thenonda Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Remember guys tickets still available. Really need as many people as possible to commit as early as possible. http://brfcsdinner2012.eventbrite.co.uk/ Remember this is open to all!
Glenn Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 I *knew* today's results (and massive change in atmosphere) would have a big impact on sales! Sales now going very very well, get a move one or be disappointed.
stuwilky Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Can someone confirm where the proceeds of this dinner are going to?
thenonda Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Just an update on the Sportsmans dinner. Profits from the night will be going to help Chorley FC. There are a number of causes we could have supported however, as a local club with ex Rovers involved seemed as good as any. Been told there will be some good raffle prizes donated by Gary flit croft and matt Jansen. Hopefully as many people can come as possible. Mick Rathbone is also trying to come. Get you tickets ordered as hopefully they are going to sell fast...
thenodrog Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 If ticket sales are a little slow then it might be useful to post it on here..... http://www.magpiesinspace.co.uk/forum/
Glenn Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 Ticket sales really picking up now, managed to shift several tables at Everton yesterday
