Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 " Dirty Water " - The Standells. 60's U.S. garage band. Their " Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White " is worth a listen as well. Quote
Audax Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Allman Brothers - Done Somebody Wrong Dirty Water, definitely know that song, classic, great beat, I group it with another song I consider another early "hard" rocker in my view, I'll have to remember to say that one given the opportunity. And a few covers of the song. Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 The Showmen - " The Wrong Girl ". I play this for my wife from time to time. The lead singer later formed the more successfu Chairmen Of The Board. Quote

forumquizmaster Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 My Funny Valentine - Frank Sinatra (could have also gone for several others) TS - A spotters badge for you once again. A lot of people think Money's Too Tight was a Simply Red original and Mick Hucknall composition. He did a good job of it but the Valentine Bros is my favourite. Bet they made a few unexpected quid out of the cover version as it was only 2 or 3 years after theirs came out. Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Simply Red - Crap. The original Valentine Bros version is the boss . Back to the comp. A slight cheat. Frankie Ford - " Sea Cruise ". This will get a dead man up dancing. Well apart from me that is. Quote
