And how effective were Diouf & Emerton as wingers? If they ever beat a man, it was declared a national holiday.

We need a full-back who has the pace and stamina to defend for himself without needing someone to constantly cover him.

Mmmm, how many clean sheets did we have with those chaps in the team, dam sight more than now that's for sure.

I doubt it would matter who we have under Kean, we'll still concede goals because the man has no gameplan.

Any full back requires cover.

Some more than others, especially if you're 36 and your legs are giving out on ya.

Salgado hasn't been brilliant this season, although he's hardly had it easy with a lack of cover and the opposition deliberately targeting pacey players against him aggressively. He has though, been a brilliant servant for the club. We could do worse than appoint him as player-manager with an experienced #2. I'd rather him than Grant!

Doesn't deserve to be seen off by Kean on bad terms at all.

I personally would have looked to offload him at the end of the season, but the way they have gone about it is completely wrong. A pretty disgraceful action by the club. :angry2:

Agreed. And I love Salgado. His name is on my most recent Rovers shirt. The man is a fighter.

I would think with all of our defensive woes, that Kean would at least name him to the bench. Salgado may have lost his legs, but he's got bags of experience and would have been a better choice than many of our substitutes.

Rumour has it he's been slagging the venkys and kean and also stood up to kean for bullying the young Uns

I don't doubt it for a second. Salgado has pride and a spine. Something which may be lacking in a team of young 'uns and aged butt kissers such as Roberts.

We NEED to get hold of salgados agent, get him to get salgado to open up to a paper about whats really happening at the club. maybe hearing it from a football legend like him might open a few eyes within the rest of the media about whats actually going on behind doors and theyl reveal all! The fans deserve to know EXACTLY whats going on. I know alot of stuff as ive proved over time posting stuff on here, but i dont want to get people in trouble revealing all. He has nothing to lose, he isnt going to play for us again anyway!

An absolute legend of the game treated with such a lack of dignity, this man has forgotten more than our inept leaders will ever know. Salgado said ...

"I want the fans to know all I want to do is help the team and help Blackburn survive in the Premier League, but the owners and manager aren't allowing me to do this," he told Sky Sports News.

"I'm fit to play but I have been given five days off instead."

As fans we don't deserve this but with the way the club is being run every neutral fan in the country will want our club to disappear ...

Salgado has come out and spoken from the heart and shown some passion and feeling towards the club and supporters. Thats something that hasn't come from inside the club in the last 12 months !!!!

I agree Topman, but we didn't have any at the time, we still don't now... I keep saying over and over. work with what you've got. We had Diouf, Emerton and Salgado as you pointed out. We've now lost all three and not properly replaced them. Kean has lost a number of good PL quality professionals which were decent in the system we played, and replaced them with kids who will not keep us in the prem. He has then concoted a formation which leaves one of our weakest positions on the field (full backs) completely exposed, therefore eliminating Salgado as an option. Now where is the sense in that?

+1

Of course they do. Leave a full back exposed and your opponents will put two men on him and run him ragged.

You may have noticed Den, against WBA their left back had the room of the park for most of the game. Kean failed to spot this for a full 90 minutes of course. Our formation leaves us so open its unbelievable, and that dick has never thought to change it.

A legend of the game treated with no dignity by our impostor of a manager. Who does he think he is? What right does HE have to treat Salgado like rubbish? Lying about him being injured, like he expected Salgado to take that. :angry2:

Been happening all season, have kept posting about it but of course, both Evra and Rapheal at Man U are pretty quick, yet I watched Valencia and Nani tracking back to give them protection, its not rocket science but obviously too advanced for Kean!!
