Portsmouth were not good but not awful under Grant in my humble opinion.

They would have been relegated regardless of the points deduction though.

Grant's biggest problem is that he can't organise a defensive unit. West Ham were an absolute shambles at the back last season, and they had arguably better personnel to choose from than we do now.

Teams were just able to walk through their midfield, and that was when he could pick from the likes of Parker and Hitzlesperger. How would he cope with Dunn and Pedersen?

I just can't understand for a minute why any team in the relegation zone would look at a manager who has been relegated twice in two years and think "that's the man we need!". I can't think of a single reason.

Roy Keane! Can't stand the chap, but it'd be worth it just to see him kick Venky's backsides!

Is there a way of having all names on a poll and rather than just voting for your 1 favourite voting for your top 3 that way after everyone has picked hughes you can see who everyone would be happy with if he wouldn't come.

How can O'Neill's price be so short? Don't they know he's got a job now?

Let's face it, nobody who might come in will save us from relegation. So it's pointless and potentially expensive (if he has to be paid off) to chase a top name. I'd settle for a Curbishley who I THINK would be willing to try to get us promoted and wouldn't be a total embarrassment for the rest of this season. Questions though - would he be cheap enough, willing to work with the Venky's idiots, move north, take on the 'challenge' of getting us out of the Championship? Having asked that of Curbishley, who would accept those provisos I wonder?
