Jock Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Anyone notice how 606 let plenty of fans from other teams through to talk about Rovers. They usually spout the usual rubbish that we should be supporting the team and not protesting. That Mark Chapman was obsessed with what time we were booing, 'was it before the WBA goal? after the goal? only when we were losing?' Chapman is a terrible presenter who's out of his depth, he could do with blowing his nose also.

RoyRover Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I listened to it last night and was delighted to hear some Rovers fans, one in particular called Karl I think, call up and really lay out the problems affecting Rovers and why Kean is out of his depth. Jason Roberts obviously has to be careful about what he says as an employee of the club and the unofficial mouthpiece for Venky's. But it was satisfying to think that he was sitting there, listening to gripes of the fans, laid out in a thoughtful, articulate manner, to which there could be no comeback or argument. Roberts had to talk around the issues, hmming and haaing and coming out with the usual scripted lines about the players working hard and not being happy with the situation. He, like Kean was continually mentioning the age of the team, using this an excuse for what's going on. I was livid when I heard Mark Chapman mention how he didn't really understand all the Kean Out stuff that was going on. Until losing to WBA that is. He could kind of understand it after that! I couldn't believe it. So after all that's gone on, all the loses, all the lies, all the spin, all the awful football, only after losing at home to West Brom did he see why we may be protesting! The media just don't get it and they don't want to get it.

The media just don't get it and they don't want to get it. The media have an incredibly short-term memory mate, especially in relation to a club likes ours. The only result that matters is this week's result. We won 4-2 at Swansea and the people protesting are "numpties" (as Lawro put it), we lose 2-1 to WBA and suddenly they understand the protests. It'd be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.
2k. Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Alan Green on 606 again tonight, he's one of the very few who understands and sympathises with us, just hope some rovers fans get on tonight.
Joar Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 The Tweet or Text from I.M. McHunt (might have been Ian McHunt) about Sir Alex - the presenter just read out the senders name then realised what he'd said - classic stuff. Brilliant, they should be flooded with 'names' like that. Some are bound to get through

RoyRover Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 I listened to the Sunday Supplement podcast earlier and they were saying that Kean was promoted beyond his ability. As such he would be grateful for the job and would be willing to put with the owners crap, because he was lucky to be in a job in the first place. No proper manager would be able to work under those conditions and would tell the owners to get stuffed. It's good to hear this from the press, but we could have told them all this months ago.

[/qu watch this every week, usually thinking what pompous, self opinionated people the presenters and guest journo's are. Last weekend, I was so wound up that they were discussing 'trivial' matters while Rovers were rumoured to be in financial crisis and were given about 2 mins at the end, I logged onto Sky and sent an email containing my feelings that they were not highlighting the terrible situation we appear to be in. They guarantee to read all emails. This is the email I sent sky last sunday during Sunday Supplement. Dear Sky, how can you place the issues facing Blackburn Rovers, one of only 4 clubs to win prem and founder members of the football league, so far down your 'Sunday Supplement' programme. Surely the survival of a prem club is more important than any other 'gossip' these so called experts cover. I am appauled at the usual bias towards the big clubs yet again.ote]

RoyRover Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Marian on Stan Collymores show on Talksport got through to him, her passion! Caller of the night! (Last call 24mins) Fantastic call. Like the guy who called 606 last night, the lady was able to articulate perfectly and quickly all that is wrong with Rovers. So much so that Stan Collymore, who has been one of these fools calling for Steve Kean to be given more time, could only agree with her. Fair play to ya!

John Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Around a month ago, Collymore the utter tool, was saying that Kean could become one of the best managers in the league.
2k. Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I listened to this on the iPlayer, but couldn't find where he was saying this. Any ideas? Sorry if I wasn't clear I posted that at the start of the programme based on what he was saying last week. He was saying that if he was a Rovers fan he'd be terrified. Mentioned that venkys don't have a clue and that Kean needs to go. Unfortunately this week there was no mention of us and despite people trying to ring up about us they decided to run with loads of Arsenal, Liverpool callers. Disappointing really as he was superb last week
ross-shire rover Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Marian on Stan Collymores show on Talksport got through to him, her passion! Caller of the night! (Last call 24mins) Thanks for that. Give that woman a hug. It really does bring a tear to the eye. It really shows how Rovers fans feel about this shambolic situation we're in. BTW for those who want to listen to it & don't have much time, she's the last caller so you can skip through all the other rubbish :-) Marian on Stan Collymores show on Talksport got through to him, her passion! Caller of the night! (Last call 24mins) Oops. Sorry hemustbe mad, I must be mad not to have seen that,
RoyRover Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I was listening to Roberts tonight on 606and he was questioning the style of play that we are deploying.
FourLaneBlue Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Am I right in thinking that the Marion who spoke to Collymore is a contributor on here?
